Week 71
Posted a week agoI’m getting really bad at keeping this weekly, but there is so much that I managed in the last two weeks on top of performing when I’m not drawing!
I’m very happy with the new transformation piece I started, and the one I’ve continued on. Got a chance to play around with some pixel art, and even made a new phone background for myself in just the past week alone.
The week before that, I tried my hand at a hobbit, a conducting unicorn, a different kind of duck drawing. Just so much drawing fun! Looking forward to another week.
I think the splatoon background for my phone is the one that I enjoyed the most in putting side by side with an older drawing. Once again, getting a chance to see where I came from to where I’m currently at is always a satisfying thing.
To those who watch, fave, comment, and view I would like to thank you for your interaction! You are what helps keep me motivated to draw at least something even on days where I’m too tired to do something in depth like on the double header day two weekends ago.
Sincerely,
Trellian Duck

week sixty…. nine?
Posted a month agoI feel like I missed a week in here somewhere, and so This week is just going to be the post artfight discussion that I feel like I should have done last week but forgot to.
OH MY GOODNESS IT WAS SO MUCH FUN! I mean… I had a great time. I did 34 attacks total, and even got some hits back at me which I wasn’t expecting, but am thankful for those who took the time to draw my characters. It was so fun seeing everyone’s take on them, and I hope everyone enjoyed my take on their characters as well.
This week I’ve already started off with a drawing of some SoulCaliber cosplay. I love that game so much and I’m finally playing it again now that I have my hands on a switch 2. I’m annoyed that it’s behind a higher paywall for the online service to get my hands on it, and I REALLY wish they would just hurry up and release a version of SC IV or V on the switch. Heck, I’d even settle for 3! some of my favorite characters just aren’t available, but at least I get to play the original Talim again.
oh right! art! I’ve started off on making another comic strip! it’s been a while since Panics has panicked. I hope to have it done sometime soon in between my other various projects and my copious quantities of free time.
Overall, still enjoying the journey! Artfight game me some renewed energy, and there are a bunch of those pieces I want to take time to clean up/fully shade and give to the people I did them for as well. It never stops! Hooray!
To those who watch, fave, comment, and view. Thank you! you help keep me motivated with the interaction. You are the best!
Sincerely,
Trellian Duck

Week 67
Posted a month agoNearly missed the week, but it has been taken up entirely by artfight! there has been much artfighting with a vengeance and I hope you’ve all been enjoying the things that have come out of this. When I get back to my own characters and stories again after this experience I know I’ll be that much better for having taken and tackled characters that are beyond my normal comfort characters.
Thank you to those who watch, fave, comment, and view. You have kept me going in this grand drawing improvement I’ve been doing with your interaction.

Week 66
Posted a month agoArtfight has heated up! I’ve been doing more than one drawing a day because I’ve been so excited about getting ideas down! I’ve gotten some gift out art for people that I’ve always wanted to draw for, and have found my artfight rival in
hedgehoundart who I am in a constant clash with. We’ll see if the revenge chain has me drawing all their characters before the end, though I have plans and ideas for the next few at least.
Well back ot my drawing for week 66! To new characters and gift art for the dastardly crystal people! and occasionally the fossils as well.
To those who watch, fave, comment, and view my pieces thank you! Seeing interaction with my art helps inspire me to keep going and working hard at this hobby I love.
Sincerely,
Trellian Duck

Week 65
Posted 2 months agoOh man! Artfight is here and it’s been sooo much fun so far! Being able to browse through a gallery of cool ideas and draw a few has been incredibly fun. Week 64 was the beginning of it, and it’s going to continue into week 65. This has even caused me to pull out the old sketchbook again and do some traditional art sketches, which I’ll be posting up as I continue forward with my attacks and sweet sweet revenge chains.
I hope everyone has a wonderful week, as I will be browsing for targets ripe for a drawing,
On that same vein, I do have two slots open for anyone who wants to do an art trade here on FA. Want to trade some art for art? just reach out to me in a message, I check FA quite a bit and will likely see it.
To those who watch, fave, comment, and view my art, thank you for your interest! seeing that interaction definitely helps keep me pumped to draw as I have been, and will do into the future!

Week 64
Posted 2 months agoBut where did week 63 go!? I hear you cry as I write this journal. Well… I was on vacation and everything kind of went away while I was traveling/doing some general doodling. One of the big things I did this past week was actually pull out the old sketchbook and do two sketches. And it felt pretty darn good! The work I did wasn’t as polished as what I might be able to do on my Ipad, but it was much better than my old work. Of course, I did catch myself attempting to zoom/rotate the paper out of reflex on occasion and had a laugh at how habits and reflexes can form.
That being said, realizing that rotating the paper is a thing is one of the benefits that I think has come out of drawing on the Ipad. I used to always do drawings with the paper just being in one direction in front of me. Drawing where I was rotating the pad on occasion made a HUGE difference in how the traditional art I did came out. So there you go! remember, people who might be just starting in drawing, that paper can be rotated to get better angles on things! What a novel concept that I should have thought of earlier but never did.
Other works that I’ve done over the course of the two weeks… I have a still WIP sketch of a transformation sequence and story that I have to get back to at some point, maybe I’ll finish it this week if my brain comes back to it when I’m sitting around contemplating what to do. I colored in Sezin in the swimsuit! I did some camp art, as well as a sticker for a friend and some for me!
ALSO! I posted my artfight card up. I will be taking part in that this year and am really looking forward to it. Not too long now before I start making my opening attacks! though from my understanding I shouldn’t plan on posting anything on the site for the first few days as the site gets flooded with folks. Forewarned, I saved some of the reference sheets of people I intend to attack, and then I’ll start defending once I can see if anyone attacked me.
For any interested in coming to battle with the duck, you can find my artfight info in this post here
https://www.furaffinity.net/view/61364959/
To those who watch, fave, comment, and view thank for your support. Seeing the interaction with my art helps keep me motivated to make it even on weeks where I’m out and about doing other things. I try to keep the little bit every day mantra going on, and thanks to you I’ve been keeping it strong. It means so much.
Sincerely,
Trellian Duck

Week 62
Posted 2 months agoI am way late for creating a journal for this week, so late that it’s nearly next week! But it has been a busy time.
I just finished off with a series of concert weekends, and am prepping for a four hour gig for this evening. Next week I have a week off from all work. I’m going to be spending that time doing some traveling, so my time will be a little on the spotty side. But this week I was fortunate enough to find time to draw quite a few personal things that I didn’t post up, as well as some short little sketches of things that I did.
As I said, this journal is coming in a bit late, and a new more in depth one will get posted possibly on Wednesday. I’m going to be doing the drawing and posting winners for my raffle on monday, but then away the rest of Monday and Tuesday. I’ll try to have some drawings in advance done tomorrow to post some things up for the daily post on Monday and Tuesday but I can’t guarantee I’ll have the time/energy based on what activities monday/tuesday are likely to involve.
For those who watch, Fave, comment, or even just view, thank you for your support! seeing the interaction is what keeps me going and doing art even in this weeks where it is busy busy. That impetus to keep drawing has made me constantly working to improve even if it’s just a silly sketch in a day.

Week 61
Posted 3 months agoThis past week was a very fun drawing week. It led off with the duck pride sticker, and just carried through to multiple personal projects, camp projects, and silly art. I’m especially happy with the drawing I did for
theonelump and I of us fingerpainting. It was so good.
I was also really happy with the domestic duck drawing as a matter of humor, and the achievement unlock of the bicycle drawing achievement!
Week 61
This coming week it will be more camp projects, and playing around with some poses and other types of creatures besides ducks… but there may be some ducks too. Announcing that my art trades are refreshed for the month of June if anyone wants to do anything, I’m down for drawing other people’s stuff and getting practice in for artfight. only a little further away till that starts
Also, the June sticker raffle will be going up soon, so keep an eye on these journals if you want your very own digital sticker by Trellian.
To those who Watch, fave, comment, and view, thank you for your interest in my art! The interaction helps keep me motivated to do my drawing.

Week 60
Posted 3 months agoOh wow! it’s June Already?! Last week was not what expected it to be. Between camp art, which I had expected, and some sudden changes in a performance I have coming up, which I hadn’t expected, My drawing themes changed a bit for the week. I didn’t get a full transformation sequence, but I did get the silly sketch of the sock puppet duck. Poor fellow became a star, just not the way he imagined when he made his wish.
This coming week, the point challenges for Camp Chimera start in full, first one was the quick duck sketch I did yesterday while cleaning/organizing things, more camp art on the way as I find other activities I’d like to do drawings of, and hopefully with some other campers involved so I can get my practice drawings folks and scenes for Art fight! it’s going to be an exciting few months.
To those who watch, fave, comment, and view what I do, thank you so much for peeking in. The interaction is what keeps me going on this journey. I just love sharing what I do with all of you.

Week 59
Posted 3 months agoIt was a very HIP week last week. I like what I managed to do in the sketches of Sezin, Alca, and the random cat that I did in their swimsuits. Also completed the stickers for the winners of my monthly raffle.
As we come into week 59, I have joined this thing called Camp Chimera. So… I will be doing a bunch of summer camp themed art! all the activites the duck could wish to be involved in like archery! and Swimming! and hanging out by the campfire! And decorating my bunk! Be expecting a bit of camp themed art on top of my other drawings to be posted in these coming weeks. I would also like to go back and try to do a full transformation sequence since I haven’t done one of those in a while, but we’ll see what type of time the week allows me.
To those who watch, fave, comment, and view, thank you so much because you are the ones who have kept me going here with your interaction!

Week 58
Posted 3 months agoWeek 57 was a satisfying week for drawing. I did fan drawings of my party from sunderfolk for myself and the people playing it with me. I got a transformation piece in there, a sticker, and a character from a current D&D campaign. So much got done on top of what was an otherwise very busy week.
Week 58: So this week I have a particular skill I’m trying to work on, so you will be seeing alot of mid body shirtless works as I try to get anatomy and hips down better. This may be one of the weeks where there are a few mature pieces while I try to tackle a skill. I will get better at that mysterious place between the upper body and the bottom. Wish me luck!
To those who watch, fave, comment, and view my pieces thank you! You help keep me motivated in my drawing through interacting with my pieces.

Week 57
Posted 4 months agoWeek 56 was a fantastic week for drawing, or I suppose I should say catching up on week 54’s pieces and getting back into my daily groove.
Going to mention it here as well that I am willing to do art trades, 2 per month, for those interested in having one of their characters drawn in my style in return for getting a drawing of the duck in their style! I might be open to a story trade too since I know some of the folks following me are authors. Please have a reference for whatever character you want drawn. The point of this is to help get ready for artfight! I’m using this art trades as practice in drawing other characters. If you’re interested, just send me a note here on FA, or if you already have another means to contact me you can poke me there too.
Week 57!
Also in that vein, I’m going to be opening up the raffle starting this week. The stickers up for grabs can be found here
https://www.furaffinity.net/view/60.....oad-successful
More information on how to enter this will be found on a separate post that I will put up tomorrow! in the meantime, if you want to get a sticker of your character done in any of the poses on the sheet, prepare a reference and keep your eyes on my journal page.
Hope everyone has a ducking great week! Especially those who Watch, Fave, Comment, and View. You are the folks who help keep me motivated in this drawing adventure.
Sincerely,

Week 56
Posted 4 months agoOh man. week 55 was upended at least posting wise by the site being under maintenance, but I was not completely idle in my drawing. I was hoping things would be back up in time for may 4th as I had been working on a sketch, and then kind of lost steam on it when I realized it wouldn’t be posted in time. So I’m going to be rolling things from last week out this week. I did parts of sketches each day and the completed pieces you are going to see are multiple days of work from the lost week 55, alongside some new things from this week as well since I’m still drawing. Anyway, I hope everyone had a great week last week, and has a wonderful week this week too!
To those who watch, fave, comment, and view thank you so much for helping to keep me motivated with what I do. The loss of being able to share was felt last week with some projects that I was bouncing in my chair with eagerness to show off. I hope you enjoy them!

Week 55
Posted 4 months agoWell, last week my mind got locked into a focused idea mostly with a transformation piece/adventuring group having a misadventure and having to make a choice. So besides what I think is one of my favorite transformation pieces i’ve done so far I also managed to write a story that I like!
Besides the transformation pieces, managed to make a new ref-sheet for Trellian, and a sketch from behind. Saturday I got sucked into the gating of baldur so I kind of lost the day, for which I apologize to those watching. But I still feel pretty good about the quality of art that I produced this week all around.
For this coming week I think I’m going to do what I did last week. Start working on a longer piece and develop it through a sketch, and into other parts. I think I’m also going to do a sketch sheet this week focusing on hips. It has been pointed out to me that I do have a weakness. and the weakness is hips. I really can’t argue the point since they are that vague space between the upper and lower body that I kind of add in, but don’t really understand.
To those who watch, fave, comment, or view, thank you for what you do. Seeing interaction with my art is what keeps me going on it.

Week 54
Posted 4 months agoWeek 54 is here! Last week I did some fun art, such as an easter piece, and even a return to a subject I’ve always enjoyed, The Long Patrol. One of my very early pieces was a long patrol hare in uniform. This one is wearing less formal attire, but is ready for a fight nonetheless! The early week obsession from last week was my Duck Detective sketch, to coloring, to completed work. Not exactly one drawing a day, but starting to work towards projects that have pieces posted each day.
Maybe this will be the thing I do more of for this coming year? update longer pieces to see what I can push myself to do with a little bit each day. I’m still trying to align what my overall goals are going to be past the one year checkpoint. Either way we’ll be having some fun.
To those who watch, fave, comment, and view thank you for doing that! seeing engagement or interest in my art is what keeps me going.
Sincerely,
Trellian Duck

Posted 4 months agoI didn’t stop the journaling, it’s just been a week off from my regularly scheduled grind and I’ve taken the time to be out and about. Today is my first day back home and not constantly surrounded by people/activities that have distracted my time somewhat. Soooooo…..
We go on to the new next year of drawing! This week is already mostly over, and it has been focused on the obsession of the detective duck! finally finished/posted that just a bit ago. I intend to do a little bit of easter art over the weekend as well, maybe post the initial sketches today when I get the chance. I hope everyone has had a wonderful passover last weekend, and easter this weekend. I’ll be back to the more serious daily drawing when I get back to my normal schedule next week.
To those who watch, comment, fave, and view thank you for your interest in my art. Seeing interaction with my drawings of any kind is what keeps me going on this project of personal improvement that will be heading on into it’s second year and beyond!
Sincerely,
Trellian Duck

Week 52
Posted 5 months agoTLDR: I’ve been drawing on FA for a year! There is a quick discussion of things I’ve done, and things I’d like to do in the coming year, as well as a list of people I’d especially like to thank for their help/inspiration as Ive come more fully into the fandom instead of just watching from the outside as I had been doing, then also a list of some artists whose work I especially enjoy and recommend since I’ve been watching them a while or even gotten commissions from in some cases.
Week 52!
Oh my goodness it’s finally here! This is the week which holds the first anniversary of this drawing thing I’ve been doing on FA!
Even after the first month of doing the daily drawings it had been the longest stint of drawing I had ever done. This is just…. unbelievable to me really. The whole journey so far has seemed surreal in a good way. While I wish I had started this earlier, starting when I did has allowed me to meet, online and in at least one case in person, some really cool people who I might not if I had not started this back in April when I began, or had not allowed myself to be talked into trying the Art or Treat even though I really felt like I didn’t have much of anything to offer other artists in trade for that sort of event. Now I’m looking towards art fight and contemplating doing that in this coming year.
Besides the art, I also attended my first two cons between last april and this one. A step I NEVER thought I’d take, or told myself I would do… and then kept putting off till maybe next year. Then maybe next year. Well this year I did it! I feel like that experience will only get better the more people I meet and groups I get involved with. My goal by next October is to have a better mask to show my ducky side with and quack around. I love my good old Carnival mask, but maybe move from Italy to Switzerland and do something more Fasnacht like so it will cover more of the head. See how well my home arts and crafts can get things done.
There are a few people I would like to thank for their support in helping me get started here and continuing to comment, help me improve, and inspire me in my drawing.
While this is a list of folks who have inspired/helped me in this first year, if you want me to take you off of it just let me know. My intention isn’t to name drop, it’s just to thank folks who have been there.
helixthefallen The storyteller that taught me the ropes of the FA interface and writes awesome stories as well as poetry. Well worth the read and time checking them out. Also great treatise on writing in his journals/posts and even some help on correcting at least one of the short stories I wrote. Once again, well worth the read so you don’t fall into the same writing traps I do and be forever haunted by the ghosts of writers past. OOOOOooooOOH!
theonelump who is a steady muse and gets alot of gift art from me because I find Bob soooo drawable. I swear, the tiger is so fluffy and with a tail that is perfectly sized to be somehow enormous, and yet not drag on the ground. Crazy facts. Apparently the price of his tail being so perfect was at the cost of dice luck though. We’ll have to get him some casino dice as a gift at some point.
ace who has had wonderful references and advice for me on drawings, and who I hope will have some new drawings in their gallery someday soon maybe if they feel like it because I love the style I see in their gallery so much and it’s well worth a run on sentence in order to make sure they know how much I’d love to see them draw things. <takes a breath.>
Alphasempaiwolviesyxx who I talk to on discord almost daily and who is responsible for what will be a return to some body part sketching this week, namely paws which they ran a tutorial for yesterday that I was the only one who attended which is a shame because there was so much information and also whose art is worth taking a look at and definitely worthy of a sentence that doesn’t end when it should have <breathes> I also have commissioned a few pieces from them and am subscribed to their patreon to get a monthly doodle that makes me always look SOOOO adorable.
Ihza Who hipped me into the telegram app, which has allowed me to connect with quite a few different communities related to topics that I enjoy, and who also has some amazing looking bird characters. <peeks at them> Look at them rocking out on their bass… so cool. The artists that draw for them are awesome, and the art is well worth checking out on their page as well as following onto the artists that did the work.
So that’s the thank you for the people I feel like I’ve talked to the most this year. There are other artists/friends I recommend following who I have met in person or talked to, but in much less consistent a fashion as the folks above.
fauxfowl has such a cool style. There’s a reason their art is my user profile pic. I have two pieces from them and an idea for a third, but we’ll have to see how the year goes for me to get the third idea done.
JLBriere Their art just makes me smile whenever I see something posted. I love their colors, their style, I love it all. The fact that they have also drawn characters in star trek uniforms doesn’t hurt either.
TalesofAkadia I love this comic. I mean, I love transformation themes and dragons are awesome, so the theme/setting really speaks to me.
bat96 is someone I love to see post. The color and characters hit me in a way that I can’t quite define. I hope they keep drawing for a long time
I have a decently sized watch list, and there’s a reason for everyone to be on it, but these are some of my additional favorites I’ve gathered over the year.
This year in review for the duck needs to be wrapped up though. Thank you to those who watch, fave, comment, and view. You are the ones that keep me going, especially the ones I took time to mention above who inspire or help me to keep improving my art.
Sincerely,
Trellian Duck

Week 51
Posted 5 months agoWeek 50 was an awful lot of fun, doing the 15minute sketches was a great workout for me in trying to get some basic shapes down. It worked very well with the limited time I had and might become a general thing I do on weeks where I am silly busy with mutliple gigs/rehearsals. It also has left me with a goal for this week. I am going to do that relaxed chair pose I attempted for the beanbag chair. JUST YOU WATCH ME! But seriously, week 51 I am going to get a better shot of that with some time spent really examining it.
One of the things I played around with last week was also people from behind, so in week 51 I intend to continue that trend of shots from the back to try and improve from the different angle. Front and side I’ve done plenty of, but from behind? Well… much less in my reps there. So I hope everyone likes it from behind.
To those who Watch, Fave, Comment, or even just VIew thank you for giving me the support that keeps me going. I love seeing that people are engaging with and occasionally enjoying my art as well.
Sincerely,
Trellian Duck

Week 50
Posted 5 months agoWell, week 49 was more of a draw/do things while you can week since I was spending more time practicing for the weekend’s concerts. That eing said, the projects that I did work on (cat with sword, st paddy’s drawing, facepalm sticker) are things I was pretty happy with. The anrai drawing project was just taking a video and throwing music to it, but it had been a while since I’d posted up something of one of my drawings. I figured people might be interested to see my madness/process
Week 50 is another performance week. I will see what I can get done in the time I have and post it up, but I definitely want to finish off the shading for cat with sword, and maybe do another RPG character drawing. I WANT to do a transformation piece, but it would likely just be a start up of one and not a completion of one. Taking it in short bites day by day might make it possible. Anyway, I have plenty of things that I want to draw. I intend to take them on as I feel like working on them between the other things I have to do/get done this week.
To those who watch, fave, comment, and view thank you! You are the ones who keep me inspired to draw knowing that others are interested in my work.
Sincerely,
Trellian Duck

Week 49
Posted 5 months agoWeek 48 was a fantasically fun week for drawing. Firstly, it was my 11 month mark on FA with a commemorative Cameo. WOOHOO! After that I spent a day down, but still got a quick sketch in. That was followed up by a more intense drawing project with my RPG character Anrai in an action pose along with playing around with blur effects to make a moving character. Sezin as a flexing mouse was also fun, a little bit of ‘cosplay’ in a dream. Then I capped the week off with a rubber duck transformation story/drawing, and a sweet drawing of Liz and Alca snuggling along with a little story of the scene. I wish I could write down the story of those characters more in depth sometime, but it’s just them living their lives. I feel like it would be a very dry read. Anyway, week 48 was fun, and now onto week 49!
For week 49, Guess what! Another concert weekend along with long rehearsals. I think I can do at least one drawing a day still, but I don’t know if I’ll manage the drawings with background/playing with new lighting an blur effects like i did last week. We’ll see how much downtime I have between things to get such done. Might even be a few black and white sketches playing around with shading some more.
To those who Watch, Fave, Comment, or even just view my work, thank you for your interest. Seeing any kind of interaction is what keeps me drawing.
Sincerely,
Trellian Duck

Week 48
Posted 6 months agoWeek 47 flew by pretty quick! I finished up things I had intended for two transformation pieces. One of them was just a story rewrite, but it was still part of the project I had been putting off for a while. I finally got to finish a comic I had been working on since ANE, a study focused on arm/armpit drawing, and then got some new things in like a Fraggle drawing for my niece and some Liz/rpg drawing for me. Good week!
For week 48, I am not certain what I will come up with to do. It’s a heavy rehearsal week and the time change is killing me. But I know I’ll have fun doing whatever comes out of my head this week. <glances to my list> Might get some things off the idea list as well to get through some more of the backup.
To those who watch, fave, comment, or even just view my pieces I want to say thank you for your interest. It helps keep me going on my artistic journey which is now almost at the year mark.

Week 47
Posted 6 months agoWeek 46 saw the prizes for my raffle posted for all to enjoy! Hopefully especially those who won the prizes. I will probably do something similar as a celebration of when I hit the one year of posting mark on FA. But we’re not there quite yet!
Beside the raffle prizes I also did a sticker in a different style that is kind of growing on me the more I look at it, and some gift art for the ever drawable
theonelump ‘s characters. Took my first shot at doing Robin instead of just Bob.
This week I intend to spend some time finishing off some pieces that had been in my To Do file! Stuff that I started a rough sketch or outline on then put aside for later. LATER IS NOW! Some of this will be completely new to those longtime followers, and some will be payoff from stuff I posted a sketch/idea of and never finished.
To all those who have been watching, faving, commenting, and even just viewing, thank you for your interest in my art! You keep me going.

Week 46
Posted 6 months agoWell, I think it goes without saying that Week 45 was fun! Cosplay with characters always is. Or fanart I guess is what it would be in the drawing sense? My characters got dressed up! So I’m still calling it Cosplay. On top of that I got a cute drawing of two teammates showing mutual support in a locker room, a rework of a character’s profile, the colored version of a transformation sequence I did last week, and even a peeking duck sticker! A fulfilling list of drawings for the week that’s for sure.
I was a little disappointed to see only two people sign up for the raffle, but I know stickers aren’t the thing that will make everyone jump at an opportunity. Maybe I’ll try something different if I ever get up to 75 watchers. I do need to do some cleaning out of Bots in my watchers list. If anyone knows how to do that process, please just send me a message about it notes. I feel like I was told once but have since forgotten.
So now into the next week! Working on those raffle rewards for folks, and the two winners of the drawing are HELIX and ACE! <Presses the button so the balloons drop and the music plays> YAY! They put it in for the win. Besides that I don’t know what I’m going to do/have time for this week. It is a concert weekend! So busy busy busy. Whatever it is, I hope everyone enjoys it.
To those watching, faving, commenting, or even just viewing. Thank you so much for taking time on experiencing this duck’s art. You help keep me drawing.
