I've mulled over this for some time and have decided that "World of Fizz" will soon be going on hiatus. When, I don't know. Just however long my archive of old comics will last. I also don't know how long the hiatus will last. A month? Two months? I don't know.

The reason(s) for this are several. One being my lack of new material and my lack of motivation to write new comics. As much as I try, I'm not coming up with anything new. For this comic, at least.

Another being I want to channel my creativeness into my new webcomic project, "Madame Sorciere", which I am aiming to release some time next year. I'll keep everyone posted on that, whether here or on Bluesky.

I've worked on "World of Fizz" off and on for nearly 25 years, and I feel like it's time for something new. And creating my little witch Circe has been a boon for my creativity. I love her! I love drawing her and thinking up stories for her.

But this isn't the end for "Fizz". It will be back someday. For now, I hope you enjoy my new comic, whenever it drops, and continue to enjoy my artwork.

From July 14-21, I will be on a paid vacation from work... although that hasn't stopped them from trying to get me to come in. That said, I'm going to spend this week trying to get caught up on any commissions I've woefully been neglecting (work often leaves me exhausted, burned out, and not in the mood for much of anything except sleep). I'm also planning to set aside a day or two writing and drawing for "World of Fizz". But mostly I'm not going to be doing anything except resting. I have a couple of nagging work-related injuries I'm hoping a little rest and not doing any fucking work will straighten out.

I recently launched two new tiers on Patreon: Fizz Plus and Fizz Plus Lite. Both tiers begin at $5 and offer the following benefits:

Fizz Plus subscribers receive early access to comics, color artwork, WIPs, sketches, and NSFW (mostly risque) artwork, a 10% discount on all commissions, and my thanks.

Fizz Plus Lite is basically the same as Fizz Plus, but without the NSFW stuff. Some of you might want to support the Patreon but not see boobies.

All paying members, regardless of how much you pledge or the tier you join, receive early access to comics, WIPs, sketches and lineart drawings. To get access to color art and the NSFW stuff, you must subscribe to one of the tiers. Anyone non-tier folks who pledge $5 or more will receive a discount on all commissions.

In all cases of commission discounts, you must be a current subscriber and have made at least one payment to be eligible. My current billing is set up to charge everyone at the beginning of the month. So if you sign up the week before a payout is triggered, you will become eligible upon payout.

After making changes to the comics and showing them to the Comic fury admin, they've allowed me to repost the storyline. I'll have to watch what I post from now on.

Supporters on Patreon, in addition to getting their comics up to a week before they go public, will get the uncensored storylines as sort of a perk.

Some of my recent comics proved too spicy for ComicFury and were removed in addition to the rest of the storyline. I've appealed to the admin to allow me to repost the comics, although censored.

On a whim, I decided to see if my old ComicGenesis FTP logins still worked. Lo and behold, the FTP is working again (for now). So while I get this thing with ComicFury sorted out, I will once again be posting comics to my old site. It's old, but it works.

Thanks for all the well wishes while I've been on the mend. I spent these past few days trying to rest and relax, spent mostly watching my Teen Titans DVDs and playing Diablo. Sadly, I go back to work on Monday. Nah, I'm kinda looking forward to getting back to work. I hope I'm ready.

At that, later on, if I'm up to it, I might be open to taking commissions. Nothing major, mind you. I lost out on a bit of money by not being able to work. Need to make some of it back, ya know?

I am currently quarantining because I recently tested positive for COVID. So, I got nothing to do now but stay at home and do whatever. I'm not even going to think about going back until at least Monday, provided I test negative.

But where I've been vaccinated (both shots), the symptoms I'm experiencing haven't been too bad. I generally try to wear a mask whenever I'm out, but this boiling heat we've had lately has made that incredibly difficult. So I went a couple days without a mask and tried to avoid people when I could (difficult in my line of work, though). Then I started feeling cruddy this past Tuesday night and was sent home early.

I used an antigen rapid test and it came beck positive. I immediately called the store and told the manager what was up. They had already crossed me out for the following day and they would talk to the GM for me.

So, yeah. I'm sick. Not as bad as it could have been, but still sick. This sucks.

While I am posting some explicit NSFW stuff on my FurAffinity and Patreon, don't expect any of it to carry over into my comic strip, should I even get around to creating new comics. "World of Fizz" itself will remain rather safe with a few risque, but not explicit, moments.

- I'm a bit iffy on fetishy stuff, so please ask if something is okay before attempting to commission me. There are some things (such as "futa") that I will absolutely refuse to draw.

I reserve the right to refuse my services for any reason. I also reserve the right to change my rates.

If possible, please provide reference material for the character you want me to draw. Especially if it's an original character.

Turnaround from beginning to completion largely depends on the complexity of the artwork being commissioned and my work schedule. Otherwise, I do work fairly quick.

If anyone is interested, of course. Just something to keep me occupied and maybe make a bit of money to go towards keeping the lights on in my place. If anyone has any advice as far as doing commissions go, feel free to note me.

It all happened so suddenly. One minute we're talking about what to have for dinner, the next she has a fall. She goes to lie down. I go to check on her later and she's not responding. I call 911, they come and take her to the hospital. We find out later mom has a brain bleed and has gone into a coma. She's flown out to another hospital where a neurosurgeon can assess her but the prognosis is grim. Turns out there is nothing that can be done, as the brain bleed is too severe and any she would likely die on the table. All we could do was put her in comfort care to ease her pain and anxiety while we wait out for the inevitable. Around 3:25am on August 28, 2020, the inevitable came and my mother was pronounced dead. My mother's sudden passing was a shock to the entire family. But then death is never easy to handle.

Her passing has also put us into a financial situation. As she left no beneficiary on her bank account, the funds there are inaccessible to anyone except the funeral home, after which whatever they take out to cover funeral expenses. The rest of the money will go to the state, and the only any of us could get the money then would be with a lawyer. But there is not enough in the account to make that route worthwhile.

Which is why I am asking if anyone has any money they can donate to help me put towards paying the bill and buying food, please do so. Any help is greatly appreciated. I will put my PayPal link at the end of this post. While money is preferred, if there is some other way you can help, feel free to do so. I will try to repay you in some way, even if it's just artwork. Thank you.
