Thanks for Coming!
Posted 10 years agoTonights stream was a good one. I managed to get alot done and its really shown me how well I can work when I take a step by step approach.
I was wondering something about the Join.Me service that I've been using. For those of you who have been able to attend, were there any issues you encountered?
And were some of you rejected or blocked from the stream?

Commissions and a return to my previous life
Posted 10 years agoWell, It was a fun couple of weeks. I've been in and out of the hospital for nearly a month and in all that worry and bustle managed to find myself in a good place to draw and once again get back into doing commissions. For those of you who have supported me so far, Thank You. You have no idea how far this money will take me when it comes to my coming medical expenses. I can't tell you all how much I appreciate it.
Starting tomorrow I will be back to my job and I'll have alot to deal with. I really hope the stress doesn't get to me. I've built a happy routine of waking up, drawing, cooking the food that would best feed me and spending my time catching up on my development as an artist. Despite the pain and worry, it was a fun ride.
Starting tomorrow my time, I will resume public streams. Tho because of the titanic gap between time tables for most people my streams will be occupied by the night owls or the insomniacs. Hahahahaha. But it doesn't matter. You're all welcome whoever you are.
Commissions are proceeding well and I will do my damnedest to make sure it keeps going that way. For those of you who I have been actively in contact with the last three days I hope you understand when my emails and responses will no longer come in a timely manner. I will reply when I can while at work, but I will leave commission emails to when I am home and able to reply to them properly.
Thank you all for your wonderful help and support. I hope it continues with all of us gaining something positive from it.
With love and a big smile,
TK Orca

Commission Updates and general announcements
Posted 10 years agoI'm slowly making headway through my backlog. The only real issue is organizing everything into a neat and easy to understand set up. I'm receiving alot of messages and its hard having to sort though them all. I'm happy I'm getting them, its just I'm still new to this so its a little overwhelming.
As for tomorrow I will not be accepting any commission slots. I need to finish off my backlog as much as I can so I can have a properly updated list of what to do and who needs to get what.
If I did promise to leave a spot open for you prior to this journal on either skype or my last public stream I will have no problems making accommodations for you. So don't be shy and go ahead and ask.
Also, I will be leaving Sunday (Saturday for most of you) as my day of rest. I wont be accepting any commission requests on that day either. It'll just be dedicated to me unwinding from this week and setting myself up for next week. I'm going back to work full time so my schedule will be changing drastically.

Commission Sessions Available
Posted 10 years agoNo public Session today Guys, I need to work on my backlog of Commissions, seeing as the day I scheduled them for was the same day that Storm hit us and I was without power that whole time.
Private streams are still available and my preferred way of doing commissions. But to be fair to those of you who cant because of your own time tables a busy lives I will still accept email requests at tkc[at]furry-muscle.org
Also, in order to streamline the process I will be making an online form for all of you to fill out prior to submitting a request.
For now I am only accepting Sketch and Pencil commissions since I am still unsure of my technique regarding the other two. If you have any questions and would like to discuss the general details of what you'd like me to do you can add me on my commision skype orca.commissions
That's all for now. I will be setting up for the hour after the posting of this journal and I will be available for private streams. Contact me if you wish to reserve a spot today.

End of another day
Posted 10 years agoWOW! Today was a full ride. Managed to get alot done and generally figure out that I should not take offering color commissions lightly. The more I work through all this the more I find out I have some major shortcoming to deal with.
So Color Commissions and Greyscale Commissions will all be "Buy at your own Risk" I know it probably not the best way to put it but its the most honest. Because I'm still screwing around with the general approach to both I can't guarantee the results will be any good. I honestly should have known better.
For those of you who wanted these types of commissions and have already paid and are still waiting for me to finish you have the freedom to do a trade in for a number of sketch and pencil commissions for the total amount of what you paid. Sorry for making you wait so long only to have to make changes. Its at least better then possibly ending up with something you may not like in the end.
Thanks again for all the support so far. Its been really awesome.

Hop on if you wanna watch or snag a commission. If you join my stream please use your username here on FA.
Again, general rules are that anyone on my existing commission list is giving top priority and those who have paid above those. But if no ones taken my current time slot you can request for it on the stream.

Personal Update and Commission Status II
Posted 10 years agoHey Guys, got back from the doctors and got and update about my situation. As far as they can tell what I have isn't anything major so I should be fine. But their not 100% sure so they want to run a few more tests and preform a procedure on me to see whats going on inside. So I'll be returning to the hospital again in the near future to see whats really going on with me.
With that in mind, it looks like i'll be using most if not all my commission money to pay for my up and coming bills. I am so thankful I have insurance but still, just from the estimate alone I'll be paying for these for a while.
I want to send a very heartfelt Thank You, to all of you who have been generous enough to help me out so far. I never knew how much of a relief it can be to see your bank account have that much more in it. These commissions so far have been nothing but positive and I have all of you to Thank for it.
As for Commissions themselves, they will resume in the next ten hours. I'm typing this before I head to bed so as soon as I'm well rested and fed tomorrow morning my time. I will resume commission streams.
Oh and great news. Because of your support in my recent commissions I was able to buy a full licence for Join.Me and I can now set up live streams that anyone can join in and watch. For those of you looking to buy art, you now have the option to either join my public streams and request for a commission there where everyone gets to watch or I can set up a private stream where you and those you invite can watch me draw.
Also, to be considerate of those of you who cannot schedule a live session with me or join my public ones I will resume email commissions at a later date. From the commissions I've accepted so far I've figured out what went wrong and what I need to improve in order to provide a better service to all of you.
So as an update to the rules I set out before, the addition will be that public stream commission will be handled on a first come first serve basis and I will accept private streams requests during them If I have not scheduled a private stream for the same time.
Also, I will assume that public stream commissions are alright to post to my gallery.
Alright Guys, I hope things continue to roll along as they have. Despite all the set backs I want to keep being positive about this. Its really fun drawing for all of you. So lets keep this train rolling.
So in the next ten hours, please keep an eye out for any new journals.
See you guys Soon!

Personal Update and Commission Status
Posted 10 years agoWell, After posting my last journal the power went out and only restored about four hours prior to this one. We were hit hard by a passing by Typhoon but nothing that left us with any major damage. I really should consider investing in a heavy duty Batter Back Up, I lost several commissions I was working on when the power cut out several times earlier.
My Commission session Schedule will resume upon notice here on my FA page. I have a follow up appointment with my doctor and a specialist tomorrow afternoon regarding my recent health issues. So depending on the results it could determine how I proceed from there.
To those of you waiting to snagg commission spots from me, I am sorry to keep you waiting. I promise to get back to them as soon as possible. Especially seeing as the sessions so far have been going really well.
I'll keep you guys updated with any new info.
Thanks again!

Commission Sessions CANCLED
Posted 10 years agoDue to poor weather conditions caused by the coming typhoon the power has been unstable for the last several hours. Because of this I will have to CANCEL commission streams for today and hopefully resume them tomorrow, weather permitting. Sorry guys.
Commission Sessions are Open
Posted 10 years agoWarming up right now for an hour then I'll be accepting commissions.
Just FYI, were in the middle of a tropical storm so the winds are pretty crazy. The power may cut out on me in the middle of a session. So please bare with me.

A Good Day for Commissions
Posted 10 years agoI can't believe how well this is going. I've made enough money now to buy the full licence for Join.me so i'll be able to stream live sessions in the next several days. And you guys who have been kind enough to want art from me have all been great.
So far things are panning out and I cant thank all of you enough. Tho, with the last two commissions I've come to a realization that I really don't have anything concrete to offer as an "Ink Commission" It would be unfair of me to ask you guys to pay more just for me to use a darker color while lining over my Sketch Commission with no real definitive difference between the Pencil and Inks. In all honesty I just use a harder brush with a darker color and other then that its pretty much the same as a Pencil commission. So until I can give something to be called an "Ink Commission" I will be removing that from my commissions list. So the list will be as follows.
Sketch - $30.00
Pencil - $40.00
Grey scale - $60.00
Color - $80.00
I'll be working on Grey Scale and Color samples tomorrow.
Also, seeing as I've been doing well so far pushing out art and seeing as I have improved since I started accepting commissions. I will be finally getting around to my back log of paid commissions. Of course revisions will be made and hopefully it will be much improved over the original sketches I sent out for approval.
So if you have paid me before and are still waiting for art, you can contact me on my email tkc@furry-muscle.org if you have any changed to your original commission or if you want the entire thing redone. It will come at no extra coast to you and You will receive a high rez copy of your original unfinished commission and your redraw as well.
If you're interested in getting a commission from me or are just curious about the details, then please add me on Skype at Orca.Commissions or send an email to the address above.
Don't be shy, you can ask me any questions you like.
Lets make some awesome art together.

Thank you for your Help
Posted 10 years agoHey Guys TK here just wanting to say thank you to all the people who have been part of this little experiment with my commissions. I have to say that so far its been really great. I've managed to get six images done in the last two days. Before on my old method Id be lucky to complete six a month. What with waiting for replies, making changes and the back and forth between clients. This way where I offer live draw streams has really worked out for me. Its also brought to light the short comings my current style has and Its made me rethink the options I have to offer all of you.
This has also cemented my desire to purchase a full license from Join.Me so I can allow people to watch me while I draw. With a full licence I can have up to 250 people watching my streams at any given time. I can better manage who sees my streams and organize private streams. And best of all, no finicky client to deal with. With join.me, I just download there app and click it and go.
I'm already 3/4 the way there to purchasing the licence using the money I've been given through my commissions. Thank you all so much.

Commission Sessions are Open
Posted 10 years agoHey guys,
Commission streams are open for any on my current commission list. But also open to receiving any new clients. Priority will be given to those on my list, but if I'm not working with anyone at the moment then you can ask to receive the open spot. Payment is up front after discussing what the commission will be and once i receive it you will get 2 hours of my time to work on the commission of your choosing.
Its ok to go over, I woun't charge you. But if your commission is too complicated to finish in that one session we will need to reschedule if I have another client in waiting.
Ok guys, Im available for the next 12 hours.
Poke me on my skype Orca.Commissions or email me at tkc@furry-muscle.org

Commission Update
Posted 10 years agoHey Guys,
TK here with an important update regarding commissions. After trying things out the traditional way where id draw an outline email that to a client and wed back and forth for either two days up to a month with changes and minor adjustments. I find it all...tedious. Especially since I am the type to sit down and power through an image in one sitting.
So, in order to deal with that problem I am offering live draw sessions for clients. I post up my time table of when I'm available and you guys can schedule when to meet and we can begin actively talking about what you want to see. On top of getting art from me you'll also get to see my process and your drawing done from start to finish. You also have the option of live skype chat so you'd have the freedom to ask questions, offer your input and basically chat it up with me while I draw. Albeit, I'm not much for talking when I draw. XD
Right now, priority will be given to those of you who already paid. With the option to upgrade your images as an apology for taking so long.
Sessions will be for two hours each with a max of two session per day.
So to start, if any of you who have paid for a commission already, please contact me via my email (tkc@furry-muscle.org) or Skype me at Orca.Commissions and give me the email address you used to contact me as conformation and we can get started immediately.
I will be on for the next five hours after the posting of this journal, as for anyone else who snagged a spot on my commission list, please wait an hour after this journal. If no one from the paid list contacts me then, you can send me a message on Skype and Id be happy to take your commission request. Payment for you will have to come after we have confirmed what you would like me to draw in your session.
If you arnt on my current list for commissions but are still curious you can still email me at tkc@furry-muscle.org or contact me on Orca.Commissions. Don't be shy and lets make some awesome art together.
Ok, hit the time limit for tonight, but for anyone else please message me on my new Skype or email for info.
I'll be posting up my time table at a later date.

Health Update
Posted 10 years agoWell after over a week at the hospital having antibiotics pumped into me almost 24/7 I am now home waiting for a follow up appointment with my doctor. Ten days from now I will return to have some procedures done to me to see what really going on with my body. I want to send all my thanks out to all of you who read and commented on my last journal. It really helped keep me going while I lay numb in my hospital bed.
Please send what prayers and love you can my way, I need it right now. I really don't want this to become a worst case scenario situation.
Again, thank you all.

Small Update
Posted 10 years agoHey Guys,
TK here with an important personal update. I just wanted to let you all know that right now I am currently going through treatment for a serious infection at the hospital. I've been on antibiotics for a week now and according to my doctor I'll need to continue to be on them for a week more. Depending on the results at the end of that week I will either be able to go home or need surgery.
The condition itself isn't that serious, just troublesome. Because of all the drugs and testing their doing on me along with the limited internet access I will not be able to respond to messages or keep in touch. So please forgive me if I haven't responded to any recent notes or emails.
I'll keep you guys updated on any major changes and hope that things turn out well.
Till then, thanks for reading and I hope all of you take care.
All my Love,
TK

Posted 10 years agoHey Guys,
I hope your holiday season is going well and that things are going alright for all of you. Its around this time of year that we all need that little happiness that comes with the Holidays to help bring the year to a good end. But for those of you who are struggling and fighting just for your day to day. I hope that you find some peace in the coming days.
Well, It seems I have failed at my commissions. I wont sugar coat things but looking back on my progress on them I really suck at these. Hahaha. I guess I just bit off alot more then I could chew and jumped the gun on alot of things. But its a learning process and I have been taking notes. For those of you who have received sketches and paid for your commission already I will work on them one after another and get them to you as soon as possible. I wont place any time tables because when I do I usually fail at keeping them. So I'll just say that I'll get to them when time allows.
For those of you who are on my current list, I will be contacting each of you one after the other and we'll being talks from there. Rather then doing batches I'll be doing each commission one at a time. I think for now thats my best course of action. I don't think I've developed the artistic stamina to really work on multiple images at once. Something I've had to come to terms with as of late. I really am only a one image at a time kind of guy.
Sorry if this disappoints you guys, but id rather be honest and to the point then to drag things out any further, especially around this time of year. Thank you all for the support that I've received so far, hopefully as I do these more and more I'll become more productive.
Well, that's it for now. I hope all of you have a Happy Holidays and Thank you again for sticking with me through 2014. Its been a wild year but hey, its been a fun ride so far.

Commission Updates and General Info
Posted 11 years agoHey Guys,
TK here with an update for all of you and my Commissioners especially.
For those of you who have paid for the commission so far I want to apologize for not being prompt with updates. I'll come clean and say that during the process of proceeding with your art I've hit a few snags and walls that have slowed my progress.
The biggest one being that in the middle of trying to move onto the next stages I've found myself viewing the results from my progress very negatively. As you other artists may understand we can be very critical of our own work and it can be crippling to say the least. But, I wont run away from this. Being able to do art that makes people happy is something I've committed to. But much like anything else you do with passion, you need to love it first before you can ask anyone else to love it as well.
Right now I'm going through a crises of form versus function. My overall process has become entirely digital as of late and the more I draw using a tablet. The more I feel detached from what I'm doing. So I came to the conclusion that I needed to figure out a way to work both Digitally and Traditionally. I think I've managed to narrow down a process that will work the elements I love about both into something that you all will be happy with.
As soon as I've concluded my experiments with my new drawing and coloring process I'll give those of you who have paid me so far updates and Issue each of you a personal apology for letting my selfishness get in the way of what you all wanted.
Thank you for your time and patience guys. I really appreciate all the positive feed back I've gotten so far.
Advice from a stumbling artists: Be sure that your happy with How you work before you turn it into work. Experiment and find out what really works well for you.

Hey Guys! A quick question from the Orca
Posted 11 years agoI have a couple of buddies of mine who currently live in Japan. Their interested in starting a business selling items from there such as DVD's, Figurines, Toys, collectibles, clothing, and any items you guys want but can't find online or can't get for one reason or another.
Of course the item can't be all that large, but reasonable, easy to ship and they don't mind doing international.
So what do you guys think? Would that be something you'd all be interested in?
Id really love your input on this, I personally trust them alot, I've known them for years even before becoming a part of the fandom. So please, any question or comments would be really helpful.
EDIT:
If you guys can, Please list any specific items you'd like so that my friends can begin asessing how much this will all coast you in the end. Just as examples.

I copied all the user names from the previous journal and added them to a program that shuffled them for me. It was provided by a great friend of mine ZakRhyno who's been nothing but a big help throughout this entire process.
For this round of commissions some rules have changed so please read through this part as it will be essential to getting your commission done.
I've changed my contact email that you will be using to get in touch with me about your individual commissions. Please understand that I use the note system here on FA alot for personal interactions and since you can't really organize them I'll be depending on the following email for all contact with my commissioners.
tkc@furry-muscle.org
Please send any and all inquiries about commissions to this email. I really would like to separate and organize all of them so I can mange each of them better.
Another thing that's changed is that I wont be accepting payment immediately. Even after discussion of the commission in question, i'll only accept payment once the commission has been started on. I'll begin with a batch starting at the top and slowly work my way down. That being the case theirs no real obligation for those of you lower on the list to stick to the commission you ordered. If by the time I say I'll start working you either don't have enough money or wish to cancel your commission, you can and I won't be upset. The last thing I want to do is force anyone to buy anything from me. That's just bad business right there.
Lastly about how to pay, I'll still be using the invoice system but through a different email account. PLEASE DO NOT SEND ANY MONEY TO MY PREVIOUS PAYPAL ACCOUNT! Your money will be immediately returned to you if you do. Again, I will not accept payment till after I begin on your commission.
That's about it. For those of you interested in getting a commission after reading this journal. You can send me an email to the above address. We'll discuss a time table regarding when I'll be able to work on your image then.
Thanks again guys, I can't tell you all how much I appreciate you showing interest in my work like this.

Commission raffle time!
Posted 11 years agoHi Guys! TK here with commission information you've all been waiting for. In order to be fair to everyone in different time zone separate from my own I am going to go with a raffle system. I'll have more details for that in a bit, but as for now I am going to explain as to why I'm suddenly opening up 100 spots for this up and coming batch.
Personally, their is something really important I want to save up for this coming December. I have estimated that it would take at least 100 sketch commissions in order to save that specific amount. I want to really push myself I'n order to find out if I can really do something like this. Taking my past failures and learning from them, along with the support of my friends I feel confident that I can at least get close to that overall goal. Even if I could only reach the half way point. It'll still be something to be proud of. I'm still new to all this but I really want to do it, I feel like my future is in this and I think I can make everyone happy by opening myself up to this opportunity.
For those of you who want a spot on the commission list just simply comment that you want one. If you wish to have more than one spot you can say that you want from 2 to 5 slots. The max will be set at five so please don't ask for anymore. Your username will then be added to a list at those numbers and from there i'll use a randomization engine to arrange the names and then copy and paste that list onto the next journal.
All the names will be separated into ten groups of ten. The journal on which the names will be arranged will remain on my front page and I'll use it to post progress for each image I do one after the other. I'll be working in a batch of ten adding the name at the bottom of the batch to the ten after I've finished an image, from there i'll slowly progress down. Payment for each image must be received upon being added to the active list of commissions. Should you not have the money at the time I start working on your commission or withing 24 hours of being added, you can choose to either cancel it all together or have your name moved to the bottom of the list. For those who take longer then 24 to respond to notice of addition I will consider it the same as a cancellation and move your name to the bottom of the list.
In the event that all 100 spots are filled and their are still people commenting on the journal then those who did not receive one will be placed on a wait list. Once I am done with this batch I'll have a more realistic understanding of my own work habits and how many commissions I can handle for a specific amount of time. I'll reply to your journal comment asking if you still wish to be placed on my commission list and if you so choose, will receive a spot on the next batch.
Once I have the list I'll be posting up a journal after this with all the names and details as to payment and how to contact me regarding your commission information.
I'll have more commission examples up later tonight for you guys to look over. As for now, heres some information to help you decide as to what you'd like to get from me.
Sketch Commission: $30.00 USA
Additional Character: $20.00 USA
Background/Props: $10.00 USA
Pencil Commission: $40.00 USA
Additional Character: $30.00 USA
Background/Props: $20.00
Ink Commission: $50.00 USA
Additional Character: $40.00 USA
Background/Props: $30.00 USA
Grayscale Commission: $60.00 USA
Additional Character: $50.00 USA
Background/Props: $40.00 USA
I do allow for adult commissions but if you are going to use other peoples characters I need a note from them stating that they have given you permission to use them. I know that means no "Surprise" images for those of you who want to give your mate something special. But I'd really like to cover myself in that respect.
Things I will automatically say "No" to: Water Sports, Cub Art, Scat, Gore, and Extreme Vore. As for any others we will discuss that when I am working on your commission.
Hope this covers it, if their are any other things you guys are curious about, please comment on this journal. I'll post up the second journal once all 100 spots are filled.
Good Luck! I'll also be working on finishing off the Icon commissions from the last batch this weekend and next week while also working on the new batch.
