Over the past few months, I have gotten a few friend requests/message requests on Discord from some people who like Deidre. I don't have an issue with that. I cannot speak for others, but I wish to offer some sort of comforting words and try to reassure you that while there is so much anger and negativity aimed at your country and leaders, I among so very many do not hate you. We know that it is not you, the every day citizens, who are the ones who initiated the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. You are not responsible for what is happening. We are seeing how you are hurting because of the actions of your leaders, and I want this conflict to end as much as you do and as much as Ukrainian citizens do. There is a lot of opposition to what is happening from both Ukrainians AND Russians as well as the rest of the world, and it is heartbreaking to know how much regular ordinary people are getting hurt by this entire thing. I wish this conflict never began in the first place.

The main thing I want to drive home is that I do not hold any hatred or anger towards the citizens of Russia. I am sure that I am not alone in this mindset, but I wish for you to know that you are not hated. This conflict is not your fault. I hope this ends soon. I hope for the best outcome for all involved.

What good are words when you're just watching these major events unfold and there's virtually nothing you can do, knowing that the people do not want this conflict? I am not one to go to FA, or any social media platform for that matter, regarding any kind of current events, and I'm at a loss for proper words. Is there even such a thing as "proper words" in times like these? I don't know.

For what it may possibly be worth, I am hoping for the best outcome of this, though I haven't the slightest idea what that could possibly look like. I just want people to be well. This is too much for so many people. I'm just hoping for the best.

so tonight I tried to recreate a mixed drink called the chocolate vampire that I had at Sneaky Pete's at Englishtown, NJ for Club Loose Haunted Moves. It's dangerous in that it's super fucking good and it also contains vodka and you just really don't detect it. I decided I would try to recreate it and do a how-to video. I had to chug my first creation because I was unhappy with the video and audio quality (tried with my laptops cam and mic... a stupid idea), and then my battery on my good camera died. so I chugged the second creation.

I don't know about you, but I don't really like asking "What if" questions, but to be honest... I have a lot right now.

I'm 31 years old working at a factory, and I don't hate it, but it's not my dream job or anything. There is a part of me inside going "Dude, there are other ways and also what about passion?". The questions I face involve what if I quit my job tomorrow? What if I pursued a pilot's license as a career path? What if I do it as a recreational thing and start a YouTube channel and gofundme and make money that way? What do I stand to lose? What do I stand to gain? What must be sacrificed if I make some massive leap?

There's so much to see and do and explore and I'm passionate about photography and aviation and cars.

I'm drawing inspiration from a former coworker who quit to pursue a musical career, which was a big step for him. I'm drawing inspiration from watching a couple aviation channels on YouTube. I'm drawing inspiration from internal dialogue suggesting that I can be so much more than a statistical factory worker and feel more accomplished in my passions. As it is, I travel a lot for automotive events (I'm in Ohio, USA, so I travel to Pennsylvania, Indiana, New York, West Virginia, Virginia, and New Jersey fairly often - though Pennsylvania tends to be the most frequented) during race season.

The downside is flying recreationally is not cheap by any means, and I have a multitude of hobbies... (RC tanks, RC drifting, the SCA, and of course... photography)

I don't know. I have a lot to think about.

I'm considering getting my pilot's license for no reason beyond just because I can.
