Regarding the new rule of 18+ only for MegaPlex.
Them citing a bill to protect children from pornographic materials and sexually explicit performances is proof that they ADMIT MegaPlex is NOT for children and never really has been.
In order to abide by this new Florida law all they would have had to do is actually ENFORCE THEIR OWN RULES regarding the wearing of fetish gear in public, ie NOT ALLOWED,
but they won't ever enforce that rule. The fact that there are Drag Queens in the fandom has nothing to do with it as actual adult drag performances have never happened at MegaPlex, read the damn bill because I guarantee you didn't, The ONLY drag shows mentioned in the bill are the ones that are overly sexual in nature which, to my knowledge, have never happened at MegaPlex. yep, I got a loaner laser from work and after about a day of digging through the show program I got a small extremely uber basic.....show? of about 50 seconds of a generic, free to use song thrown together.

yes, this is extremely basic but if I can learn the software this is literally the same program that your favorite mainstream band uses along with damn near all the theme parks around the world that have laser shows.

This weekend is EDC Orlando, Electric Daisy Carnival. Around 200 electronic DJ's, 5 stages and 3 days, Friday - Sunday. There are 2 levels of tickets you can get, the regular that let's you in, and the VIP that gets you special seating and actual bathrooms and exclusive bars. BUT, there is a third that is only available to big vendors or artists that basically has full access to everything. We make the laser systems they use, WE GET FULL ACCESS VENDOR PASSES!!!!!!!

The area I live in succeeded in what they have been trying to accomplish for several years now, the Friday night farmers market is officially gone, their vendor map is blanked.
And on top of that the market I've been going to on Sundays is taking he next two weeks off and then going to an every other week schedule.

I had been relying on selling things I make at the markets to pay my electric and buy food, I didn't really care about anything else. if I could make a car payment that was a bonus.

Yes, I need to be absolutely ecstatic that i have a job now but thinking about the markets dissappearing has me depressed because now if something happens I literally have nothing to fall back on for money.

And to those who might be watching me that agree with socialism and say that it would be the savior that I would need because FrEe MOneY,
nothing is fee, ask anyone that has EVER been in a country with socialism, how about Cuba or Venezuela, theres a reason, a damn good one,

I couldn't begin to tell you how many hundreds of job applications I've put in over the last 2 years after I was let go from the last car dealership I will EVER for. If you think car sales people are assholes than try working with them, they treat fellow employees worse then they treat customers.

And no, I don't count the 2 months I was doing insurance work as a job, I would rather volunteer to go back to Afghanistan in a combat related job than go back into insurance, less stress. Anywho, 2 years without a job and many many applications later for positions desperate for workers, their adds said so, only to never get a response, no phone call, no e-mail, no text as a courtesy to say sorry, we didn't pick you.
I got on Facebook last Thursday and out of the blue I had a notice for job postings, I legitimately didn't know Facebook HAD job postings. And the first one was for an assembly job for small electronic motors, I kind of shrugged and said what the hell and filed out the insanely generic Facebook application form. To my surprise and astonishment I got a phone call less then a day later for an over the phone interview that lasted roughly 10 minutes, the guy sounded kinda indifferent with my responses but asked if I would be ok with coming in to do a timed test assembly of one of the small motors they produce so of course I agreed and he set the appointment for today, Tuesday. Naturally, he wasn't there, had to run out for something but one of the techs was there to give me the rundown, answer questions and administer the test. about 30 pieces when put together the whole assembly is about 1cm wide x 2cm long, damn small lol. I had 45 minutes to assemble something that I'd never seen before and manipulate wires half the width of a human hair through holes that were almost as small, of course I went over the time limit but they assured me everyone that made it to the test went over the time limit, which was about 20 people. But when they attached it to the test bench and turned it on and nothing happened...... my heart sank and I felt like an elephant kicked me in the gut only to hear the person trying to test it go "shit, another wire fried, give me a sec" they came back a minute later with a different wire and sure as hell the damn thing spun right up. If they are to be believed I had 1 of only 2 or 3 working motors at the end of the test, everyone else's got stuck or one or more of the micro wires didn't get attached right and didn't turn on. I think I got lucky honestly, I thought I might have broken a wire lol.

The "test" was around 10am I left around 1 and I was a nervous wreck the rest of the day because they wanted to discuss everything with the owner of the company. Then at 6pm I get a call about an e-mail I'll be getting with a zoom call link for a call with the owner and there I am nervous as hell trying to hold my phone in front of me shaking all over the damn place. He saw how shaky I was and just flat out said I was the only one that did what they were looking for, someone who can make a working product and have fun doing it and if I had a stand for my phone lol the call was over in about 3 minutes with an e-mail getting sent saying I had the job WOOHOO.

and now I know your wondering, what the hell kind of motors are they if they are so small. Well, they are called scanner motors.
give it a bit and if you go somewhere that has a new laser show chances are I might have made part of the projector. Some of their clients include Sea World, Universal Studios Orlando, Disney World and countless bands and EDM groups
The scanner motor is what holds a tiny mirror and just vibrates insanely fast, hundreds of times a second if not thousands and is what bounces the laser into all the different patterns the projectors make.
it's a very very VERY repetitive job, but I'm ok with that, knowing what they are going to and what they'll be doing is all the more incentive to do it right so they'll last a long time.

I've been going to craft shows for 2 years now. I've tried making jewelry, boxes, cutting boards, business cards, every one of them had thousands of competitors everywhere.
Especially cutting boards, everyone and all of their relatives, from what I've been told, repeatedly, all make cutting boards.
Just for the hell of it last November I bought a mug press because I wanted something to set me apart from the other Cutting board makers so I started printing my business card on mugs, you buy a board, you get a mug, it helped get a couple sales, but not many.

That got my creative juices flowing so I made one or two original designs and another order, 6 this time.
Since January I've made fewer and fewer cutting boards and I've expanded my pre-printed mug selection, however..........

Just like everything else, a big brand, Cricut, who only made vinyl cutters and other scrap booking stuff..... Released a mug press, with overpriced vinyl sheets for mugs as well as extremely overpriced mugs.
So 4 months into making mugs, all of a sudden everyone with a Cricut cutter became a mug maker, and they are all using the exact same premade cutout designs with a vinyl plotter.
I have already been accused of ripping off one of these makers and stealing their designs at a market that I've been going to for a year now and they just showed up that week,
they spent that entire market blocking one of my tables and yelling at people I was talking to.
If these High School kids were gonna be pissed off about a vendor that had been there a year longer then them then the gloves were off
So the next week I reserved one of the prime spots at that market and setup a new mobile printing office and took custom orders and made them right there at the market.
Average wait time was about 20-30 minutes which includes 10-15 minutes to let the mug cool off after heating up to 380 degrees Fahrenheit.
Biggest difference between my setup and theirs is I do sublimation printing, the real kind, not the severely over priced Cricut version, and unlike them.
I have the full capability of a photo printer, from simple graphics to full color photographs.
Towards the end of the market a few of the other vendors told me that they went and complained to the market coordinator because
how dare I make mugs at the market and demanded that they be the only ones allowed to do that.
He basically told them that if they didn't like it they could either deal with it or go to a different market because I was one of the original vendors at that market.

I'm not sure what the outcome of that is but the way they were glaring at me as they left I'm not 100% sure if I'll be seeing them at the market next Sunday

quite literally, a YEAR in the making.

I lost my last job due to internal politics, long story short, as long as I was there a certain lesser manager would'nt be able to essentially take over the business so things got put into place to make it look like I was doing things i wasn't doing, and I was let go. That was on or around July 14th, 2019

For a year I had put in hundreds of various job applications without even a phone call or e-mail to say I didn't get it, a year of uncertainty and literally begging my family so I could pay my bills. My folks gave me some extra money around October of last year so I could take classes and get an insurance inspection license and so I could get certified in the program insurance companies use to write claims.

About 2 weeks ago though, I got a random phone call from an adjusting group saying they had a claim that needed inspected in my area and they didn't have anyone on their payroll in East Central Florida. Apparently my parents got called to do an inspection but they are out of state so they gave them my info and I've been running around doing insurance claim inspections since. It's not the best paying job in the world doing minor claims but since I'm literally the only one they have in the area it's only a matter of time before something bigger comes my way. This company does claims work for 5 or 6 different home insurance companies and so far I've only seen claims for one of them that deals pretty much exclusively with mobile homes. Gotta start somewhere though.

got knocked out cold at about 3:30 in the afternoon last Monday, June 1st, and I think I woke up around 5:30 or 6 pm without my gallbladder.

Everything so far seems to be going great other then the obvious pain from getting cut open, but even that seems to be subsiding already. Things could get interesting from this point forward figuring out what does and doesn't work food wise.

gallbladder gone. Was told surgery was a complete success. Nite nite.

well, gonna be carted down any minute now to get my gallbladder removed. Apparently there is a few years worth of damage to it and they want to get it out before it ruptures.

Things have been interesting the last couple days.
Since last Thursday afternoon I have been in the hospital because of chest pains. Thankfully all the tests they did for my heart came back negative. But I do have gall stones, several of them apparently. They are going to do a test tomorrow, Sunday the 31st, to see whether or not my gallbladder will need to be removed.

I wasnt going to say anything yet but sometime soon I'll be posting pictures of something I found to replace something I technically had stolen from me about 21years ago.
My brother suddenly decided he wanted it more then I did while I was in basic training for the Army.
He agreed to give it back if I paid him for it to which my response was a resounding F you.

I am getting this something in the mail hopefully very soon but with the total length of absence I am horribly out of practice

The states that have the highest rates of transmission have also pretty much made it completely legal for damn near all forms of crime. Instead of sending authorities after criminals they are sending them after people suspected of having the Corona Virus. And what is the stipulation for being accused of having the Corona Virus? all you need is to have a fever now and these states (all run completely by Democrats BTW) order you to quarantine in your house and some people are even getting police posted out side their homes to make sure they don't go anywhere.

This whole thing is so stupid I could go on for hours.
The world has survived, quite successfully BTW, from far worse things then this overblown crap.
