Taking Story Commissions
Posted 14 years agoWell, I do admit that I am new to the commission thing, but I could use some extra money while I jobhunt. Would anyone be willing to commission me to write short fiction for them? I'm not sure what is a competitive price, but I would be thinking around $10 - $20 depending on length. I also would love to hear too from people who have experience with commissioning to give me advice as well.
I am so glad I'm not into drama...
Posted 16 years agoIs it just me, or does the sites that make fun of drama end up just causing more drama and annoyance, that they claim to hate in the first place?
Probably just me, though.

I know I am a very strange fur because...
Posted 16 years agoI know I am a very strange fur because of a few big reasons:
1. I love to watch and keep track of sports. This seems to be a big rarity, as most furs I met seem to brag about how much they hate sports and take pride in their ignorance of sports.
2. I am mostly drama free.... That or I am so boring, no one will troll me
3. I take pride in my humanity. Seriously, folks. Agree or disagree with how society is, but at least make efforts to at least make it better.

Writing Question: Would you download/read...
Posted 16 years agoJust curious on what all you prefer to read from:
1. PDF. Sometimes annoying to handle, but I know that 100% of my formatting and fonts will be preserved.
2. Microsoft Works (.doc). This will also preserve formatting, but some may not be able to open it.
3. OpenOffice (.odt), same as above
4. Rich Text: Preserves some formatting
5. plain text, a pain to format, but can be read from the site.
Any and all responses are very helpful.

I totally need to write more!
Posted 16 years agoI totally need to write more. I'm starting to realze that I have a SLIGHT talent for being a wordsmith, but sitting down to write is always a struggle, I tend to put it off, or I just end up drifting off to do something else. Any other writers in the audience know of ways to practice?
PCA: Will write stories about your characters!
Posted 17 years agoTo help further tone my writing skills and get more familiar with the PCA Universe, I'm willing to write stories based on any of your characters for completely free! I'm not sure how long they would be, but it'd be the literary equivelant of a character sketch, perhaps a brief scene in their daily routine. This offer is valid to anyone who is a registerd PCA Participant, so if you know someone who is signed up and a little lonely, send them my way!
Strange happenings
Posted 17 years agoI'm sensing a ill-wind in the fandom...
Something strange will happen in the next few months, I think. There's starting to be increasing animosity between those who are hardcore "PG" furs and hardcore "Adult" furs who are starting to pluralize everything and make practically every argument an "us versus" them argument where one is either "A good person or a creep" according to the PG furs or a "reasonable person or a right wing prude" on the other side.
Then again, maybe it is just me.

Chillax
Posted 17 years agoSeriously folks, why is it that those who claim to be "all about the lulz" take drama so seriously?

What's with all the spite accounts late?
Posted 17 years agoWhat's with all the spite accounts as of late? Not that I disagree with their opinions or anything, or disagree with their viewpoints or whatnot, but I'm just the sort of person who doesn't really get why people put forth so much raw ENERGY into angst, spite, and insults. Not trying to make drama or anything, just wanted to get some opinions, is all.
As for stuff directly related to this account, I'm getting back into writing, so that's something... that and doing more SL texturing. Shame that if I upload a SL pic, people will just assume that it is a random screencap rather than me showing off something I legit made.

Project world-building
Posted 18 years agoNow to take a chance at doing the writing thing!
One of my favorite things to do is to think up ideas for the world my characters that I RP as live in. So first, I plan on writing a small story of a First Contact scenario to introduce my various races to Earth.
Also, I've been debating GMing a PBP D&D campaign set with Civil War era weaponry. It'd be a good excuse to meet new people, at least.

GASP! I drew something

Yeah, it's still a work in progress, but it feels good to have actually accomplished something for once.

Wow!
Posted 19 years agoAfter uploading some of my Second Life work, I got a few people favoriting and watching me! I just like to say thanks to you three, and I hope that I can produce more art for you to admire and critique.
New Sketch!
Posted 19 years agoZomg, a new sketch in scraps! I wonder, though, am I the only one who uses the scrap function? I just don't see my current sketches as Gallery worthy, especially since they are WIPs.
Second Life, Part two
Posted 19 years agoAfter reading the latest news post, I guess it is OK to post screenshots of SL to show off my t-shirts and whatnot that I have created. Expect those to be showing up in the next week, as well as the next chapter to my story, and if I am lucky, a few new scetches as well!
Second Life
Posted 19 years agoDoes anyone know if it is Kosher to upload screenshots from Second Life as art? I have a few screenshots of clothes and whatnot that I have made in-game, but I have no clue if it is against the rules.
Also, I have one drawing in the scetches section, just a WIP that I am doing for
