Crappy week, Caught the seasonal cold but at least I’m getting that out of the way for now. Still it further complicated my sleep schedule which was not helpful. Made some time as people needed to shuffler their own schedules during the week to try and finish some projects along with others. But progress was made. Well this week has been a bust, Not quite a morning person anymore. I’d try taking melatonin more often to start my sleep schedule but I fear I’d become dependent on them to sleep. But It took a toll on my earnings for the week. So I gotta fix it!

Finally doing the raffle for the current month. I’ve decided to give investment club just a discounted hour for reaching their 50 buck threshold. And I’ll be giving away 13 free hours, and to distribute the hours evenly only one can be one per person. These discounts can be redeemed every other session so that if I’m being commissioned four times a week, at least half will be full priced. I got my credit card that holds the loans for my dental work, so there’s that to help me out with those finances. Getting my permanent crowns in on Tuesday. Hoping to get stuff back on track since this past few days have been profitable and keeping me on an incline despite the drop on my Patrons. SSeeing that I’m hitting around the same numbers as my average, and this is due to some session being skipped or incomplete because of my sleep schedule being a mess. I gotta correct myself hard to stay on it and try to power through my fatigue. I hope I can discuss the side effects of my meds with my Doctor or some way to try and fix my sleep schedule.

So far so good in the implementation of limits on discounts. This has been a productive week despite hiccups in my sleep schedule. And there was a surge in requests, this has been the first time in the past month or so that I’ve not had the room to fit everybody that made requests. I am also 45 bucks worth of new patrons away from adding a sixth Patreon content session a month. I was almost there earlier but unfortunately, whatever I did the bring in 25 bucks worth of patrons wasn’t long enough to keep them for longer than a month so if you want to join and vote for the current Fanart Friday Poll, the link is above. Didn’t do the raffle as I needed to figure out how I’m going to distribute hours. How many to give away just so I don’t end up giving away too many that get redeemed all at once. I might just save the poll for the end of the month and count just this month. Also I had to take out a loan for my teeth. I apparently Need all four of my top front teeth crowned ASAP. So That’s gonna get started this week. And Another bit of debt I have to get myself out from under as soon as possible.

I built up enough in my savings to make the payment for my taxes. Now I got the months ahead of me to try and make enough money to build my savings back up. As I mentioned previously. I’m limiting my distribution of discounts an free hours. The monthly ones will be reduced to one or two a month. The long term projects will have access to the wider list that will be still held on my discord server. The comics are still on the hook for multiple sessions some going on for years now, so what I can offer makes those gigantic investments cheaper will be available. And A theme discount can’t be used twice in a row on regular comms. Without raising my rates, the most I can hope for is as many sessions as I can get that are at my regular priced rates. Any bit of that 1k+ I’ve been missing out on average will fix a lot of problems I’ve been having and keep me ahead of the big bills and any surprise costs as well as the occasional break. My fatigue and chaotic sleep schedule might be my body reacting to me working with barely a day off since tax season. The free hour raffle will be held on the fifteenth after the tax payment goes through.

Sleep has been a struggle. But I’m keeping up. I’m on my way to meeting my tax payment. Still thinking over how I’m gonna handle discounts and rewards. One day more in the month and I managed at least half of that 1.2k I was hoping to reach but that came with some of my own faults. Taking meds late, Causing me to sleep in through some alarms. But that is why I still got 15 days till the tax payment to try earning that amount. I’ve also been thinking over how I’m gonna be doing my discounts and free hours. I think I’ve reached the point that I don’t need to give away stuff to gain new commissioners as many have approached me without knowing I offered discounts. And not all the theme discounts I’ve offered were picked up as much as the few that tended to get used the most often. I’m thinking of keeping the full list available to long term ongoing projects like the comics, those are gonna be stuff I’m gonna be working on for months and years at the most. So what helps those few projects keep going will be fine. But I’ll be offering maybe one or two theme discounts per month. That will change from month to month for everybody else. And I’ll be giving away a handful of free hours per month and they will apply to full price hours. Normally if I fuck up or end up late, I usually shorten the hours and still charge from there, sacrificing a full price hour in the process. And maybe going back to implementing discounts not being used twice in a row by commissioners. Just to try and guarantee I can make a substantial living and stay ahead of these emergencies.

Well with the whole FA going down. I’m gonna have to encourage people to contact me through discord to inquire about commissions. Missed a few sessions due to being unable to check the notes that had been sent to me for those refs and details. I do have a server, but I gotta vet people first before I let them in which is why I don’t post a link anywhere on here. And the vetting process is pretty simple, After a few commissions to check vibes. Or if a friend of yours is already in the server that can vouche for ya.
But besides that, Making decent progress on on everything. Still thinking about how I’m handling discounts going forward. I might limit how many I have available per month. And maybe How often those can be redeemed. Like I used to have a rule where discounts couldn’t be redeemed twice in a row. Stuff I’m mulling over.

Better progress. Seeing it has helped to calm my nerves a bit. Enough that it pulled me out of my funk to do some serious cleanup. Cleaned out some of the clutter and junk in my room. And finally laid out the plastic mat for my chair to roll that I bought months ago. And I’ve set up a payment plan for a backup battery for my computer setup. To help save me some trouble in case of rolling brown outs or stormy blackouts. Finally something I can write off on my taxes for the coming year. I need to do more of those, but once I’m over this hurdle I will see what can be done.

This week started off shakey. But the end result of it did pan out better than previous weeks. 300 more than average. Still. Gotta keep up. The sleepiness and fatigue is still stuck with me so naps are interrupting my work flow and costing me sleep at night. All just to be able to focus on concentrate on my work. Anymore nights of insomnia will be spent working on work that doesn’t require people to attend since it will be in the middle of the night. Or for those from timezones like in the European region who would be up much earlier than us in the Americas. I look forward to making better progress next week with the full schedule. Patreon has stabilized at 200 bucks. 25 bucks and I might be able to afford a fifth session a month to work on Patreon comics.

I need to remind everybody. That for the month of August until Sept 15 when the next Big Tax bill is due I’ll be suspending discounts and free hours. In order to try and save up money to make up for what I paid my parents to help with their business debt. I will also be reviewing how I divvy up discounts and such going forward after the bill is done. I have built up a lot of return commissioners and supporters. I would like to continue offering benefits, but a lot of my sessions end up to either be discounted if they get to 3 hours of work, and on average I end up making 1.2k less that what I would’ve made if I charged 45 per session. A substantial amount that even in a month could cover my expected Tax bill that I am crunching for this time. And That is still a cheap rate comparatively. Just a lot to think about.

Concept Sketch
Because sometimes it is a struggle to design your new OC and placing them in a complex scene that may not show all the details you were hoping to present as your debut of your new character. I will offer one hour of work to help you do a generic standing concept sketch of your new OC before working on the main project. Nothing special will be added. They will not be in an elaborate pose, or a completely different scene. It’s just to hammer out the anatomy and colors so we can then have an idea of how they look before we do the main project.

Sleep Schedule is finally solved. Fatigue due to medicine in my system is just gonna be something I gotta be aware of. But I am going to bed and waking up when I need to. But more bad news hit my family. My parents let a credit card they used for the farm business go unpaid for too long to the point of being sued. They reached a settlement but it is gonna require us pooling our money together to help pay it off. And I am most likely not going to get my money back. But I also have my quarterly tax payment due in September. So I need to save up a lot of money within the month and a half I have. I also acknowledge it has been a few months since I’ve done the raffle. Since the week I spent dealing with an ear infection and my erratic sleep schedule, it has been a struggle to stay ahead of my finances especially while offering discounts at the same time.
So, Starting in August, until my tax payment is paid I’ll be suspending the discounts and free hours to save up money, and once I’ve paid my final big bill of the month. I’m gonna see where I am financially to make a decision about the discounts and free hours I’ve been giving away.

New plan because the sleep schedule got worse. Sleeping through the day and not being able to fall asleep until 9am. I’m taking Melatonin now since the CBD gummies apparently ain’t it, Even though I haven’t imbibed pot in a couple months It should have been more effective. But I hope this time I can sleep just for 8 hours and only 8 hours. Then I can get back to a regular schedule. Also I have a lot of open slots if you want a comm feel free to contact me and we can see where later in the week I can fit you in. Otherwise that extra time will be spent on Patreon content and maybe some personal time if I can’t get this sleep schedule fixed by Monday.

Getting more of a control over sleep schedule. It was a rough weekend but I managed to find myself waking up by my alarms more frequently. I can now control how long I sleep. The fatigue and brain fog is another matter though. Made an issue where somebody messaged me out of turn and I assumed they were next on the schedule, and it cause a bit of a shuffle.

Like the Standing Split, Or the Hands-free Bubble Tea pose meme. So as long as it involves meme pose that's been going around. Concept Sketch
Because sometimes it is a struggle to design your new OC and placing them in a complex scene that may not show all the details you were hoping to present as your debut of your new character. I will offer one hour of work to help you do a generic standing concept sketch of your new OC before working on the main project. Nothing special will be added. They will not be in an elaborate pose, or a completely different scene. It’s just to hammer out the anatomy and colors so we can then have an idea of how they look before we do the main project.

This week has been a struggle, Sleep schedule in disarray. Mom came down with an illness that in her elderly condition she could not handle properly without apparently passing out on the floor of her bedroom. She’s being treated for two simultaneous infections. I’m watching her dog which is adding more chaos to my dog watching responsibilities. I invested in some new brushes so expect some experimentation with painterly textures or details. But the sleep schedule problem has been interfering with my work or maintaining my schedule. It’s meds related because when I don’t take them. I’m literally wide awake for hours. When I take them. I’m drowsy through most of the day. I have to get this shit together and since I don’t have too many slots claimed this week. I’m hopefully in a better position to fix my sleep schedule without it getting in the way of some of my sessions.

Sleep has been a struggle. I tried not using my anti-depressant meds, and it caused me to not get tired at all, and I spent all night waiting to sleep. But when I take them, I might sleep through alarms or endure brain fog and fatigue that lasts until I nap—just going to try and make more adjustments.

I missed out on a lot of these when they were a thing. I did the one Jack-O pose but I'd like to do more and some in the past that came and went. Like the Standing Split, Or the Hands-free Bubble Tea pose meme. So as long as it involves meme pose that's been going around. It will be used for your image at a discounted rate but you gotta send me the image of the meme you are referencing first.
Concept Sketch
Because sometimes it is a struggle to design your new OC and placing them in a complex scene that may not show all the details you were hoping to present as your debut of your new character. I will offer one hour of work to help you do a generic standing concept sketch of your new OC before working on the main project. Nothing special will be added. They will not be in an elaborate pose, or a completely different scene. It’s just to hammer out the anatomy and colors so we can then have an idea of how they look before we do the main project.

Dynamic action poses. Punching, Kicking, Sword slashing, Wrassling, Leaping, Jumping, Running, Crouching, Wake up DP. Some kind of action focused momentum driven poses. Especially if it involves an impact.

Cat’s wound is improving. Alternating putting him in the cone so I can apply the antibiotic ointment to it and then taking it off after a day or so to let him clean himself a bit since the poor guy is an engine of destruction with the cone. He keeps getting himself stuck in the bathroom by closing the door on himself when trying to walk out. Need to get my sleep and fatigue under control. Hopefully I can go to bed at a reasonable hour tonight and wake up at a reasonable hour tomorrow.

Cat disappeared for a day and a half, finally found him. A predator almost got him and he has a wound that I’m caring for at the moment with my leftover medical cleaning and antibitotic cream for my big dog’s wound which has fully healed by now. And I got the notice. My loans have been discharged officially and there is a zero balance according to my servicer. Just gotta worry about my quarterly payment this month.

Like the Standing Split, Or the Hands-free Bubble Tea pose meme. So as long as it involves meme pose that's been going around. Concept Sketch
Because sometimes it is a struggle to design your new OC and placing them in a complex scene that may not show all the details you were hoping to present as your debut of your new character. I will offer one hour of work to help you do a generic standing concept sketch of your new OC before working on the main project. Nothing special will be added. They will not be in an elaborate pose, or a completely different scene. It’s just to hammer out the anatomy and colors so we can then have an idea of how they look before we do the main project.

This just hasn’t been a good month overall. The week I spent dealing with the ear infection set me back a bit. And I got a quarterly payment coming up mid June. Dodged a bullet with Jury duty. It did interrupt this week’s attempts to make money but I got excused during the selection process. Still spent the day recovering from the exhaustion of walking around all the downtown blocks to the various courthouses and the jury parking set a couple block away from the relevant buildings. But somebody dumped another dog in our neighborhood. A small fuzzy little dog that looks like a Pomeranian mix. Is very scared of us but finds the dogs and the structures on our property to be a safe place. And they know food is provided and have gotten attached with one of the larger dogs. So one of my dogs adopted a dog and that’s cute.

This week wasn’t much of a recovery of funds after the week I spent dealing with the ear infection. I’m just glad I got one more week to try and break even. They always say, in one ear and out the other. Apparrently it works for ear infections too, but thank god I still had some drops leftover to use them o the other ear once the first ear felt mostly recovered. But the week prior threw my whole schedule out of whack. And y already late raffle is still running late. But I’ll get it done this week. But the bright bit of sunshine is that somebody else dropped a dog off in our neighborhood. A beautiful Belgium Shepard. Making sure she gets fed and cleaned up.

If your commission allows me to use old 80's asthetics and styles. Making images look like faded old posters. Hair feathered. Denim eveything. Lazer grids, lambos, and neon! This includes old graphics like VHS covers, and computer displays.
Fan Art
I'd like to draw in different styles or do something that would get me more views. Anything that features popular well known characters and IPs. No original characters dressed as other characters.
Reference goodie bag
Ask for a link to my collection of reference materials for styles for art, hair, attire. And examples of anatomy, poses, compositions, color uses, expressions, and memes I want to attempt to incorporate into my style. Pick at least a combo of 3 images with what you'd specifically want out of them. I'd love for the challenge to improve myself.

I missed out on a lot of these when they were a thing. I did the one Jack-O pose but I'd like to do more and some in the past that came and went. Like the Standing Split, Or the Hands-free Bubble Tea pose meme. So as long as it involves meme pose that's been going around. It will be used for your image at a discounted rate but you gotta send me the image of the meme you are referencing first.
Concept Sketch
Because sometimes it is a struggle to design your new OC and placing them in a complex scene that may not show all the details you were hoping to present as your debut of your new character. I will offer one hour of work to help you do a generic standing concept sketch of your new OC before working on the main project. Nothing special will be added. They will not be in an elaborate pose, or a completely different scene. It’s just to hammer out the anatomy and colors so we can then have an idea of how they look before we do the main project.
