Sept 25 4th wk. Sch. AC still broken, got a new fan.

Doing most of what I can during this heatwave. It looks like we might have to replace the UC unit. We are trying to see what we can scrounge together for that. I got myself a Window Fan to try and Control the ventallation of my room instead of praying a breeze appears to help push this heat out of my house for a week straight. At least now I have some ability to try and avoid the heat. But I will have to see how well this works in the long run.

The Most productive Fanart Fridays I’ve been having all month. However Productivity to the week’s commissions might be impacted by a setback involving my home’s AC Unit breaking during a week in which the lowest the temperatures have dropped was 82 degrees at the height of the day. I’m just lucky that we haven’t gotten back up to the 100’s no matter how much this heatwave has been trying its hardest to bring it back. We had somebody replace a part, but it didn’t fix the issue. So one of three things have to happen, either temperatures outside drop to a comfortable level all day, The next part they try to fix on the AC actually does the job, or we somehow find the money to buy a new AC Unit. Until then, I might be missing slots either because I couldn’t fall asleep or slept through alarms due to hot nights, or on the hottest days my room becomes an unbearable sauna that I have to escape it before I get cooked like a turkey. Any slots I miss, especially if it becomes impossible to fall asleep, I’ll spend the late hours of the evening working on the slots I missed. And personal projects if I end up completing comms but still have time before I am able to fall asleep.

Postybirb is having a bit of trouble, I got a bulk of Fanarts to upload to Pateon that aren’t going through because of its issues with cloudflare. Same deal with Furaffinity. It’s been a real struggle to get things uploaded without it getting rejected. Thursday is gonna be spent mostly working on patreon content while also taking time to play some of the new Super Robot Wars Y. Looking forward to this since they started embracing the global market in full force. As well as to pit the Big O and Kamen Rider W against Godzilla.

Another week another month. I’ve heard out all of the pitches people sent me for comics and Picked the 3 that appealed to me. If you didn’t get picked or didn’t get your chance to send yours in, then please be patient while I try to work through these as quickly as I can. Also one of my other comic commissioners returned on top of these 3, so it is good to have that work resume on a limited time basis. Getting things done. New alarm that actually works as an alarm is meant to is waking me up. Staying on track. Occasionally I’ll nap. Comics are uploading on Saturday with the WIPs of those still needing to be finished on the Patreon. Speaking of. Accomplished a few things. Got a new alarm clock so I’m not relying solely on my phone anymore. Sleep schedule seems kinda fixed, and I got my Diet pill prescription back on track which is an upper so it should help me wake my ass up in the mornings. The progress this month is getting there. Still some open slots in the week but with the recently completed Spike page I’m gonna use that time to get through some Fanart leftovers, another LARR page, and the Next ZewdBooks parody which has a poll up on my Patreon. Since Book of Cats was a subject twice in a row I took it off the poll this time to let some of the other books get their time to shine. Also been on an anime Binge lately with all these series getting their sequel seasons and more.
Also, I've not heard a word from a few of my previous Comic commissioners who have been on Pause for almost a year now, and with Pageantry Finished and to be uploaded soon with other comic pages as I finish enough of them to post in a group. But that means I will have 3 open slots for comics. They come with the stipulation that they will be weekly sessions. 45 bucks a week for 3 hours of work. And basically a 180 a month for progress to be made on the production. And depending on what's all involved, like how many characters, how detailed they are, and how many panels ends up describing characters actions, locations, expressions, conversations, action sequences. ect. affects how much detail ends up in each page and how long they will take which won't be guaranteed to be on a one page per session basis. Because I can only pick of 3 of these, I will need to hear out the pitches everybody has for comics to pick the ones that appeal to me the most. If I don't end up picking yours. Then consider maybe something more simplified like a one image commission of your idea? I will also need to be able to draw your characters in a style that will be efficient enough to repeatedly draw them over and over again, I will even do some test drawings to get the style down first. We can even explore the comic in phases like Sketching everything out first. Then we start rendering them either page by page or again, in phases. And it can't be an ongoing project. There has to be a stopping point where I can give one of the other people that didn't get their comic idea started and they waited six months to a couple years for a slot to open their chance at a turn. I will need to also be able to reliably communicate with you in a regular basis. Like at a moments notice and not with a couple weeks between messages only to receive a "Hahha, yeah." when I ask if you to choose between two things. Being able to get a message back within the day I send a message is the bare minimum level of communication I need, especially as I will need payment on a weekly basis.
TLDR;
-I'm opening up for 3 new comic commissions.
-I'm hearing out pitches till I can find the 3 comics that appeal to me the most.
-If you don't get picked, maybe commission single image commissions instead?
-This will be an investment on a weekly basis, 45 bucks per 3 hour session, or 30 bucks if it fits one of my listed themes on my discord. Adding up to 120-180 bucks a month.
-Payment will be expected at the end of each 3 hour session.
-Comics can be very detailed and complicated, so it is not guaranteed that I can finish a page each session.
-Depending on how many pages are needed to tell the story, this can be anywhere from 6 months to a couple years to finish.
-It's easy to underestimate what you are asking for so please consider simplifying some ideas, concepts, Might even draw some test drawings to make characters easier to draw repeatedly.
-Your idea can't be an ongoing comic, it must have a stopping/pause point so I can try to open up for other comics I didn't pick and new ones I'd like to try.
-We can work page per page, or try and sketch everything out first and work on rendering it out either page by page or in phases.
-Communication is important. I need a response back within the day I message you as the bare minimum.
-If you need a break for the sake of your financials, I will give you at least a month to give me an update on the situation. If I don't hear from you for longer, then I will pause the comic to make room in my schedule. If it goes longer than six months. I will consider you MIA and open the comic slot up to somebody else.
If your comic wasn't picked....PLease don't continually ask me on a weekly basis when I'll be open again. These take a very long time to finish, And a week is not going to be enough progress to finish 2-50 pages. If anybody cannot be patient enough to avoid asking this question of me until I make an announcement that Im open back up. YOU WILL BE MUCH LESS LIKELY TO BE ABLE TO COMMISSION A COMIC

Sleep schedule seems to be…fixed. Been waking up at the time I need to and if it is late it’s by 30 minutes withich doesn’t screw up too much of my schedule. Plenty of open slots this week and I am going to be hanging with my mother on Monday as previously arranged even though she has come down with bronchitis.

This week was a struggle, Capping off the end of the month with low bit of earnings. When I think I fixed my sleep schedule, something or another or my pills keeps me awake longer or asleep longer even when I go to bed on time. I even tried to do a reset to fix it an I couldn’t stay asleep for when I needed to wake up. And I couldn’t stay up to go to bed at the proper bedtime. Well I gotta fix it one way or another. Also despite increasing my productivity on Patreon a bit, I lost a chunk of patrons. Not sure what brought them in and what didn’t keep them. Delivered a lot of Fanart Friday stuff this week. Because sometimes it is a struggle to design your new OC and placing them in a complex scene that may not show all the details you were hoping to present as your debut of your new character. I will offer one hour of work to help you do a generic standing concept sketch of your new OC before working on the main project. Nothing special will be added. They will not be in an elaborate pose, or a completely different scene. It’s just to hammer out the anatomy and colors so we can then have an idea of how they look before we do the main project.

What can be fixed, can be broken. All it takes is one morning for my alarm to not go off. But I also had to succumb to some mid day naps. I can never escape the fact that if my sleep adds up to 8 hours, I am wide awake. I just can’t get my body and other things to let me sleep early enough or stay asleep. This is an ongoing battle. Also Noticed that the requests have been slowing down. If it does keep up I’ll for a brief period add an extra theme per month. And if things continue to decline. Officially going back to doing the raffle now that free time is opening up to start keeping better track of it. But we will see.

Had to take an emergency day to just try and reset my sleep schedule again. I was struggling with not falling asleep on time and waking up late which still had a drowsiness with me the rest of the day I couldn’t shake. I Slept for 15 hours, but eneded up waking up much earlier. So I made do with my promise and finished off all the unfinished projects I started that week due to my chaotic sleep schedule. And almost lasted a full night. But didn’t survive the final session of the day. I woke up at 2am instead of 1am this morning so I’m at least starting a new consistent trend. Just gotta be careful. I also caught my phone not turning on one of my alarms at all while left on the charger beside my bed. The first alarm went off no problem. But the second (just in case alarm) Nothing. So Now I know the bigger culprit in this mess. Even if I wanted to sleep that extra 30 minutes before I needed to get up and turn on my computer because I was having a rough night, Now I gotta try and fix this phone alarm.

Fell into the same traps with my sleep schedule. But Trying to keep to it the best I can. Finished last month pretty strong, Feeling Like I am hitting a vibe I can gel with with my new brush and shading style I’ve been working on. Also Starting to get into uploading. Just building a set of Chore hours I cand do between commissions. And this includes watermarking another chunk of backlogged work. And then setting up as many of these in my postybirb as I can to have them ready to upload. And it seems like my Noon uploads are doing better than what I was doing at 3pm. Patreon is also still acting screwy with me. Sometimes I can upload stuff there, sometimes I can’t. One pattern that is starting to form is possibly the late hour I tried to upload these things when I end up staying late to finish a comic or sets of fanarts. So I’m gonna see if I can upload more readily in the day. Speaking of.

My newest and last investment for this year, A new recliner for my studio desk to replace the one I got a couple years ago that managed to break under my fat ass. It was cheap at the time and you get what you pay for. So I got a high end one which is comfy as well and makes me feel like I have comfort, room, level with my desk so I am not reaching or forcing my equipment. And the extra storage I needed for things that were cluttering my desk but needed a place. Also this allowed me to do quite a bit of clearning that was needed to be done, among other things like fixing some of my cables and getting my PC cleaned of dust. Just wish all my efforts of cleaning things up for my new desk recliner wasn’t undone by my cat bringing what he thought was a dead bird he killed, and then I had to spend a hot minute trying to catch it while it banged around getting feathers and shit everywhere I had just cleaned.

While it is strange that I’m taking almost the whole weekend to do personal projects. For one I kinda need it. Two, my father’s schedule is unpredictable so I can’t really block time out for him to get home and help me wrangle the dogs for their much needed bath. It’s been a while and they have gotten into something that’s making them itch like crazy and normal flea meds don’t cut it. So it’s gonna be a team effort to get these dummies leashed and in the kiddie pool to be scrubbed. So to be safe, the extra time I have will be for personal projects so I’m not putting anybody off if I can’t make it.

Gonna celebrate Mother’s day with my mother. This was a queue where I had the fewest requests. A definite breath of fresh air. Just gonna see how this week pans out. Feeling like I’m Getting back into a rhythm and this past Fanart Friday helped me demonstrate what I’ve learned so far over the month of me practicing and sketching stuff out for my patreon. Also I got a clean bill of health from my doctor about my weight loss journey, reaching normal levels Just gotta keep to it. Also changed my real life schedule around. It’s easier to wake up when morning is the time to feed the dogs and they wanna torpedo onto your bed to wake you up.

Doing things a bit differently this week. I am condensing all the unfinished projects into a single day. Maybe going forward I’ll block out an unfinished down where I try to finish everything of the previous week. And whatever time I make will be dedicated to patreon content. This will include the YCH’s I have set up from Icyfoxy’s recent project. But this will be for weeks where I have too many of these unfinished or shorter work sessions. I hope with enough usage of these dedicated days I can do more of the kind like polish days where I will take on commissions that want an additional hour of polish to previous commissions. Especially old ones. Or Patreon only days. Where I work on Patreon content in a solid day block instead of spreadin it across the month, especially since I am pretty close to having 8 three hour sessions a month for patreon content which would be two days of work on their own.
