Wow !! a lot has happened since March !

I have drawn a lot ( obviously ), went to the dr for the first time in over a decade ( i have an autoimmune thyroid thing apparently, yaay! ) , and have been keeping up with my JP learning pretty consistently which is fun ! I am still not confident enough to write sentences much but my reading/listening comprehension is absolutely improving n that's very exciting ! ^^

Trying to think what else has been up but those are the main points as far as life updates are concerned i think?

Hello again!

Thought I should make another journal since I've gotten everything more or less updated, or at least... as updated as it's going to get!

my 'life updates' are few, i'm still hanging in there! still making art, obviously X3 I've really worked on getting into other things outside of JUST art again this year and it's been super fun !
Tucked myself pretty nicely into a cozy fandom space and made a few good new friends there which is awesome. I haven't really directly interacted with any fandom spaces in probably a decade, honestly, but letting myself publically be interested in something again has been really really nice.

I'm also still writing a ton every week hah hah, less than I used to but keeping up a decent average of 2-5k words a week typically. Except for RIGHT NOW, though, because right NOW it's nano season !! >:3c
My nanowrimo participation is old enough to be in middle school now which is scary, pretty soon i'll have been doing it half my life..... absolutely terrifying to think about.
one day i'll share my writing with folks again but i don't think it's a bad thing to have something you do just for yourself and a close friend or two.

ah what else is there...

I've been playing a bunch of splatoon 3 and ovw 2, but for those that know me that's not surprising hah hah
Trying to get myself back to reading some physical books again since all my reading has been visual novels for the past...................... like 15 months so i suppose if you have any good fantasy/sci-fi reccs I'd take em !

Howdy all :3

Hope your December is progressing just fine ! I'm going to be updating my gallery again today to catch up, so be warned :0

I'm taking a month long break while I'm in Indiana for the holidays so there's gonna be another period of silence after today but ! I will be back with new art in January ! :D

I've been writing a little more than I have been drawing lately but still been making plenty of visual art to share :3
Trying to stay on that wave of having 10k writing seshes as long as possible LOL
it's like sitting yourself down in an empty movie theater and hurriedly trying to make a detailed transcript of what you see on the screen before the next scene starts.
on the plus side im getting really close to finishing my longest ongoing story so that's pretty cool ! It's looking like its going to end up at around 200k words before I start my second pass of it to fix up and expand some of the scenes i wrote early on.
It's literally just a human AU set in the late 20s/early 30s for a few of my ocs but boy does it just go on and on.

Oki well instead of rambling more I'm gonna call the journal done X3

I'm incredibly bad at...keeping any site other than twitter updated these days....... I'm going to try to post here more often again for those of you that still wish to see my art but dont have/use twitter.

If I can get around to giving it a single editing pass I'm thinkin abt maybe actually posting the first part of Fay n Lorna's story ( "Sawyer, IN" ) instead of just regularly saying 'i wish i could post my writing again'.

But !! 2020 has been a lot of staying home and over working myself ! I don't super want to upload my entire backlog because that would take... so long... I draw between 3 and...idk 15? pieces of art a week and i drew almost 40 things for art fight this yr so hah hah theres a lot i missed in posting since i last popped in on FA !

i dont know how to write journals anymore so I'm just going to leave it HERE and say I look forward to speaking to some of u again !! :D

hey guys, you may notice art has been a lil slow lately!

our basement flooded after some bad storms earlier this week and it took a few days for clean up! on top of that i have been busy trying to prepare to bring a new cat home- a fluffy travelling companion to go with me on my regular treks back and forth between IN and MO.
art will be picking back up soon enough though, and i am hoping to finally make myself put up some writing hah hah ( how many years have i been saying this ? how many years have i been on FA? :p )

ive been thinking about posting some of my writing to the internet again for a really long time and as i'm going back to fay and lorna's story for revision i wondered if it wouldn't fit on FA since it's...fiction about anthros after all x3

I've been writing since oh gosh uh 2005-ish ? i used to post my writing up until 2009 or so, im not 100% sure what happened that made me stop but i did ! and since then my 170k+ yearly word average has been read only by one of my best friends n Absolutely No One Else.

honestly if anyone at all is interested in reading it, even if its just one person, i'll take a stab at putting something up again! I miss getting feedback and just having other people ''IN'' on whats going on in my brain space.
