Idiots With Explosives Day. It's a name I gave to the fourth of july.

It comes three to six weeks every year and dumb asses are shooting off fireworks all night long two to three weeks before hand an two to three weeks afterward. Loud bangs because bangs are neat! Loud smells, because everybody loves the stench of burning shit blanketing the whole area. Oh, pretty colors, because nobody can see colors and everybody loves frightening the piss out of the animals in the area.

I'm not too happy with it. The police don't bother enforcing the no air based fireworks rules. One may drive down and people shoot the fireworks off right in front of them. It's a very annoying time and I always hope somebody burns themselves. Note I didn't say mutilates themselves, even if they do deserve it for pissing away money on a bang.

Another year older today and deeper in deb... actually I'm about the same level of debt as last year so that's good :)

Hopefully you all are having a decent year so far. It's pretty much exactly half over now. Three and a half more months of horrible weather, because I hate summer heat, and then the good months will be here again, because I like the cool/cold of fall/winter/spring.

Anyway, announcement done. Have a good day. Don't talk to strangers unless they have candy or look friendly or are passing by trying not to be seen or really, any reason you want to talk to them.

I'm writing more this year and so far have managed 1 page minimum every day. Commission progress is being made, though a couple non-commission stories have taken a fair amount of time, too. A story of Queen Celeste from Babar and the Adventures of Badou working voluntarily to prolapsing her uterus especially.

I haven't been drawing much, though do scribble now and then when somebody wants to visit drawpile with me. Maybe I'll have something to post eventually art wise.

June is nearly here again. My birthday is June 6 if you want to know and nudge nudge wink wink and all that.

So far this hasn't been the worst year for me. Getting a little more active again is a good thing.

If I put together an archive of my writings, would anybody be interested in buying it?

It would include some unposted stories that are not listed as private by commissioners, however I cannot currently say how many or what they are. I need to finish organizing a lot of stuff.

I don't have any details other than what I just posted in this journal right now. I'm just checking for general interest.

I didn't get much, or any, discussion on the last journal about it, but I decided to increase price to $6 per page starting Tuesday, March 1, 2016

I haven't increased prices since 2012 or 2013 I think. I don't make much at $5 per page and won't make much at $6 per page, but every little bit helps.


Additional - Since almost nobody was really taking advantage of the picture description story price, I'm just going to eliminate that slight discount and charge the normal price for them.

I bought it in a four pack. The last guy decided to back out.

I'm taking a loss selling it for $9.75, but anybody want it?

I have not yet decided when, though it will be sometime in March, or exactly how much. Currently at $5, it will either go up to $5.50 per page or $6 per page.

I'm not making much with commissions. Even if I were to manage 10 pages per day, I wouldn't be making much. This change isn't too big, hopefully.

Current projects in progress will be unaffected by price increase.

Volunteering can help pay down student loan debt. I haven't looked into this as much as I should since I don't currently have any debt left from that, but it seems like a good idea to look into if you have some.

In other news

Been pretty unmotivated for a while now. Still fighting the lazy.

Bought a new mower as my old one was crashing hard after 9 years. I got an 80 volt lithium ion battery mower. Pretty powerful, takes 30 minutes to recharge, and came with two batteries. It does have a steel deck, I prefer plastic, but was only available with steel.

Bought a new string trimmer, old one won't charge anymore and I had hated it since I got it. New one is 40 volt and has a lot more power and recharges in an hour. Heavier and more awkward, however.

Built some elevated strawberry planters. Ants enjoy it and I need to evict them, but it makes picking so much easier.

Have several stories in progress, need to get writing. So many naughty things to think of.

Sometime back a few friends and I ordered a 4pack of Starbound pre-orders. We used three of them, but have one left.

The voice acting was fine, the graphics were good, but those alone are not enough to make a game good. I'll admit, it is slightly better than Witch Haven(old Build engine FPS). My final score is a pubic hair out of a very pussy.

Paypal changed the look of how you will fill out information and send money. Thus, you need to be super careful. Don’t go all willy nilly through and be like “Yeah yeah yeah send” you need to stop when you see this screen right away.

Before you proceed, you will first notice one major thing: your address is showing. What you need to do if you are ordering a DIGITAL WORK (aka, it is being sent to you via the interwebz) is you need to click on your address and there around be a drop down menu of 3 (or more) options:

Be sure to select “No address needed”, it is very important that you do. If you leave your address in there, Paypal will assume that you are to receive a physical package. A physical package which needs proof that exists physically. Paypal will want the artist to provide shipping labels and tracking info on said package. This is bad, very, very bad. Artists can get in trouble if they cannot provide these things.

Please, if an artist asks to send you back your money so that you can send it again correctly, do not be offended. You are paying them to do your commission, how can they do your commission with no money?

It's a lot like Civ 5, gameplay wise. You research spells instead of technologies, archers can capture a fugging city, and it is far more fantasy based.

It has the same hex type system with 1 militant per hex. Cities can shoot at enemies once per turn and you can build as many as you damn well please.

I have played it, it's decent, and I liked it. Slow at times, like all such games.

Since I haven't posted anything in a while, I thought I'd post a journal with the picture.

For those who want to know for whatever reason, my birthday is June 6, just like last year. I'll be turning 34. That's quite a long time to be around.

Have a dentist appointment soon, first one in more than ten years. Just can't afford things like insurance or checkups. Everything is far too expensive. Even to get looked at without having them do anything costs a fortune to somebody without a job.

Commission work helps, but it is hardly something I could live off of, especially with low motivation from teeth and summer heat. As the heat ramps up my will to do much drops down down down.

I had been writing a page a day until early this month, then it just dropped off. Hard to make myself write currently, but am slowly getting a bit more active with it again.

Super Panda Adventures isn't terribly long, but I enjoyed it. The Mega Hammer is fun and effective once you get it.

I posted a journal a while back mentioning Flying Hamster 2 on kickstarter. The campaign was canceled.

Instead the makers, Game Atelier, joined up with http://fdg-entertainment.com/ to help make it. I think they'll be restarting a campaign for it, though not sure when.

It looked like a cute game and hey, it's furry so it is definitely in my interest zone. You play an anthro hamster who does the usual fight things and save people stuff.

Well, since I bought the game I've been giving it a play through.

Overall, I like it. It's a metrovania where you play a panda guy who tries to save the princess. Yeah, nothing special there plot wise, but the controls are good and the levels are enjoyable to wander through. Various furry and human characters to talk to and some comedic, if simple, dialogue.

You have a sword, a shield, boomerang shurican, and 3 magic weapons. The magic regenerates and the shurican can be used as often as you like. The shield is sort of a second health bar for you. It blocks attacks before your health IF you use it before you get hit. Getting hit without using it reduces shield and health.

You have a lot of upgrade options when you get enough experience to go up a level, two points per level. Attack damage, magic damage for each spell, and health are there, along with a chance to heal when you attack and critical damage chance, chance to have a shield pop up, and some others.

It is fairly fast paced but can be difficult to NOT get hit at times. The enemy can be pretty random when they move or when they shoot so it is difficult to predict. They do have windups, but even then, it can be hard to dodge in time. It could be because my reflexes are a lot slower than they used to be though.

Super Panda Adventures is probably short, but I'm enjoying playing it. Give it a try if you have a dollar or two. Only available for that price for another 12 hours as of this posting.

So while browsing I came across this game, Super Panda Adventures. It looks cute and furry and plays fine. It's short but fun and well worth a buck or two. Give it a go :) Pay however much and get two keys for it. Hopefully enough buy it to encourage a sequel or similar

I do browse game bundles regularly on a few sites and I found one on Indiegala that includes an anthro game called Jolly Rover. You're a dog, a weiner dog by the look of it, that gets picked up by pirates.

If the game's progress indicator is right, it's going to be a pretty short game as I'm at 23% after my first play session, but I am enjoying it, overall. Voice acting isn't great, but it's not bad. There are some amusing jokes here and there. Not the greatest animation for some characters. There is one annoying feature, the hint system. It pops up at random asking if you want a hint and there's no way that I have found to prevent it from doing so.
