Belatedly, music executives have come to realise that DRM simply doesn't work. Well the article Ive read on this didn't say a huge amount, despite being from the same source as the others ive posted today. But like the others im calling BULLSHIT!!! To me this sounds like an international effort to stop piracy of everything, good luck trying to police that. I honestly dobut that anything like this can be fully enforced, with the number of people on the internet that would need to be monitored, and then filter out the crimes (how ever they plan to do this) and then dealing with all the individuals, I honestly doubt there are enough police to waste time on things like this, when there are murders, assaults and robberies going on around them. To me this seems like a bigger waste of time than speeding tickets, sure when people drive at 300 km/h it is dangerous, but most of the time the people who suffer aren't doing something so dumb, after all what is the point of driving fast if you never get to where you are going? So what is the point of wasting time searching a persons computer when there are millions, almost billions more to go? the amount of time, money and effort this will waste to make criminals out of every person possible seems like FUCKEN BULLSHIT to me.

Now that my rant about the BS that is starting to happen here in New Zealand, I can yap about this.

Monday morning just before leaving town to see Nine Inch Nails i forgot the tickets, lucky after almost a day of wasting time in Wellington I got to print them out, again.

Tuesday. We were off to Auckland, once getting there we were told that our info was wrong and we cant get into the backpackers until 1300, our thing said 1100. To till time we tried to find the perfect thick shake, sadly after 2 i couldn't fit any more in, so well slept on the couches in a cafe till a bit before 1300, then we returned to the backpackers, where a inconsiderate person kept leaving the lights on, jamming the door open and leaving painful objects on the floor. Finally we are off to NIN, but we don't have a fucken clue where we are going, luckly there were some others in the backpackers from chch heading there too, and best of all they knew the way. Who ever the supporting artist is, you were great, I'd get some of your music if I knew who you were. NIN FUCKEN PWNED!!!! Although to be honest I don't like hurt, too painful to listen to. And my boots caused a few blisters, no surprise there.

Wednesday. Sasha woke me up with a txt(SMS), after fucking around for like half an hour with getting plane tickets sorted and checking out, we moved on to get some food, 15mins later nothing, so after some harassment we get our food within the minute. With time running out we almost inhale our food and run to the bus stop. Where I think we just missed the bus we wanted, we sit and wait, and wait, and wait. Fianly it comes. Sitting on a buss with nothing to do gives lots of time to think about how close things are going be. After arriving more running to the gate, only to find it had just left, resulting in having to book another flight at $50 each and re booking the bus tickets (flight was Auckland to Wellington, then bus from Wellington to Palmerston North) costing another $20, but there is meant to be a reimbursement on its way with that one. After dinner with Sashas family (some of them atleast) with NIN going in the background to let her father learn about the glory that is NIN, we take that bus home. Arriving around 2200 - 2230 we go our seperate ways home, after a shower its almost 2330 and with the joy of work the next day I collapse, but nooooo the heat wont let me get to sleep...

On a slightly lighter note, if it wasn't for such horrible things as downloading music, I would never have heard my favorite bands, and would have never bought any albums or have even gone to NIN on Tuesday. If you realy think about it, its advertising, either people will steal your work regardless of what you try, or they will steal some, and realise that this artist is worth supporting, and if you should have such a BULLSHIT law, it will not help in any way, the artist wont get new fans, ISP lose customers, and the money the government spent will now be wasted.
