Posted 16 years agoI'm still writing and working on things... my hours are changed so I work right in the middle of the day now :P
I actually almost have the second part to Sakura written... instead of chapters now tho, they will just be parts.
This will be more or less a short story rather than a big involved novel.
Also working on my halloween pic and the Cleo sports stuff...

Posted 16 years agoI got in on PortZebie's pimptastic journal by the tip o' my tail, and his rules say I gotta repost teh journal so here we go :D -
1. I will add the first 14 people to comment on this journal to the Promotional List (artist pimping).
2. For each of those 14 people, I will put their avatar and three submissions I like from their gallery on the list.

The Fox and the Child

I guess this DVD has been out since June 2nd. I just found it yesterday at Blockbuster. I haven't finished watching it yet, I've only seen the first half hour so far, but being the fox lover that I am, but I have to say this -

GOOOODD O.O
...If you in any capacity love nature, breathtaking scenery, and real life animals in real life settings, you HAVE to see this movie. There's no way to properly sum up the beauty of this film. In the first half-hour we see a little girl encounter a fox in the wild. It runs away, but she is intrigued by its sheer beauty. After autumn and the snow falls, the little girl sets out in the dead of winter to track down her fox (who does a crafty job hiding). She breaks her leg and spends the rest of the winter reading about foxes and dreaming of the next time she sees him. Meanwhile, our crafty hero is foraging for food and is ambushed by a bobcat... I won't ruin the story for you. Rent it. If you love, love, love wildlife and foxes, you will love this movie. Nothing short of stunning camera work.
Although from what the trailer shows and the comments on YouTube, apparently the ending is sad.

Mailbox Blues...
Posted 16 years agoNot sure if you remember, but last year I posted a journal about my mailbox and how it's had to be replaced many times because I live on a rural street and it's a favorite target for "baseball" vandals.
Well, last Wednesday I came home from work to find that once again the mailbox was laying in the neighbor's yard. The interesting thing is that it was full of that day's mail still, and our mail doesn't run until 1:30pm and I get home from work around 3:30pm. This time however, I found some evidence: a piece of lens from a vehicle's turn signal was near the box. It was rather large, so I assumed it was a school bus. The post was bent way over as well, so it almost looked like someone swerved into it.
Anyway, we filed a police report and made plans yet again to repair it. Thursday was my day off so I was getting ready to go to Ace to buy a new box. But before I left a plumbing truck -with a broken corner light- pulled in. The guy admitted to hitting the mailbox and paid for all the repairs O.O

I guess I should be lucky to be alive.
Let me set it up for you first... I take a couple pills daily, one in the morning to calm me down and level my mood (prozac) and one at night to help me sleep (zolpidem).
I've been distracted so much lately with things happening in my personal life. Before work Friday, I grabbed the wrong bottle and took a zolpidem in the morning before work.
Course I realized my mistake but didn't realize I compounded it by taking a prozac too. Probably not a good thing to mix those.
I don't remember how I got to work...
I woke up on the floor of my office. Everything that I needed to do was done, apparently by me, but I have no recollection of doing it.
Everything between the time I took the pills at home and the time I woke up on the floor 3 hours later at work is a complete blank.
Zolpidem is a hypnotic...
