Yay finally October!!! My favourite holiday is on the horizon!

Things are still kinda chaotic in meatspace. short-snout got concussed the other week at brazilian jiu-jitsu, so I took her to ED, waited 8 hours to not be seen & decided to go home at 4am coz rest is probably important for her recovery. Paid for her to go to the doctor a day later. She's doing okay and thankfully I had enough to cover the trip from ED home, the doctor visit AND rent, but oof! Things have been pretty tight coz of that, she's still off work and currently only recieving 80% of what she would be getting at work through ACC which makes things a bit difficult, it's all really unfortunate u_u

We also had to go to her parents place to petsit their dog as her father had surgery. He's recovering well thankfully, but it really threw a spanner in our plans. Gwen's mother is a piece of work who can't resist screeching at Gwen at any given opportunity, so long as I'm not around >_>

All up, September and early October has been stressful and frustrating. I've had to put job hunting, IT study, and learning to drive on pause for all that and I'm pretty exhausted.
Hopefully things start looking up soon ;w;

Heyo, about time I wrote a life update coz I plan on doing them monthly now lol.
Happy that winter is finally over, things seem a little more hopeful with spring & things warming up.

Well things didn't really go according to plan last month haha. I tried SW for a bit & had my time wasted by some loser who then proceeded to verbally abuse me a little bit so I had to take time to re-couperate after that, it is what it is.
Instead I've been weighing my options & doing some employment help programs & volunteer work to use for portfolio stuff.
I'm pivoting into some IT stuff, starting with some Web Design but I'm beginning to up-skill into a Web Developer & figuring out where else to go from there. Probably Software Development & Cyber Security. Keen for Software Dev coz it's skills I can use for my dream of doing Game Dev, but also Cyber Security because that's super important in this day & age of data brokers & security states.
But yea, been brushing up on my HTML & CSS skills, I'll probably get into learning JavaScript next.

Health wise, I might finally be getting a diagnosis for arthritis. Something I've been trying to get doctors to listen to me about for years, so I'm pretty glad that's happening.

Internetwise, I've been kinda screwing myself in local telegram chats ugh. Got into a bad argument yesterday that had me timed-out from a place which is fair, I got mad & reacted poorly, it is what it is.
What's funny is some kid tried to make me feel bad for "being an outcast" when that's kinda always been my goal? I'm not interested in popularity & I did try the commission artist thing, but it doesn't work for me, I'm mostly open for commissions coz the disposable income is nice & I do need the money but trying to make a job out of it isn't feasable for me.

I'm here for friends & community, I'm perfectly happy just doing local ArtJams & hang-outs with friends. At most I'm just upset I let my anger get the better of me in front of my friends who I do care about. It's just funny that people think you need to strive for popularity & to sacrifice your core values to suck up to the morally corrupt rich furries that rise to the top. Nah son, you can do just fine finding your niche of friends & having a good time engaging with a shared interest.
Not to sound like one of those weirdos who waxes poetically about the "good ol days" of the furry fandom, especially coz there's ALWAYS been shitty popufurs in the spotlight, but idk I feel like people care more about making it into the spotlight these days.
I think furry works better as a hobby thing to do with friends but that's just me.

Been a kinda awful month for me tbh, spent most of the time really sick as my girlfriend shortsnout caught a cold & then got a staph infection which set us back financially pretty bad :(
We're play though, we're taking a lot of extra jobs & such to make up for the loss but it's been gruelling & pretty depressing.
I've decided to try get back into escorting, something I tried just before covid hit NZ. Getting a normie job has been kinda impossible, there's a huge job shortage in NZ. I've not even gotten to the point of an interview despite how many applications I send in oof.
So, why not flaunt my best features & jump into an industry that is always after folks like myself where I can work independantly? Sexwork laws are really good in NZ too, it's decriminalised & there are a lot of protections for workers & our clients which is more than I can say for the nordic model people seem to like, ew. Anyway I'm not here to go off about sexworker rights XD

Despite how depressing the month has been for me, it ended on a nice sentimental note lastnight. I went to a local queer history event, it was really lovely. I got to meet up with a lot of people I hadn't seen in a while as I've had to step back a bit from activism for my health, it was really nice to see them again. I had been pretty isolated this year, making me super depressed, so getting to go out & see my community again & having them be happy to see me was something I really needed. Despite fatigue kicking my ass today after being so busy yesterday, I do feel mentally & emotionally re-energized :3

Aaaanyway, news on the internet side of things; I'm really happy with how ArtFight went for me, it was a nice break from commission work. I just wish I hadn't gotten so sick or I would've been able to do more, but I'll likely just throw something toward the people I was planning to draw for any ways X3

Seriously just thinking I might make FA my main hub online, it being one of the last parts of The Olde Web we used to love.
Idk been wanting to distance myself from algorithmic social medias owned by obscenely rich whackos. FA is far from perfect but you can't convince me in this day & age that the big tech companies & their ceos have the moral high ground over this place. They're just better at hiding the skeletons in their closets whereas furries are a pretty tightknit community so word gets around if you're up to shady shit.

Anyways, this year has been pretty shit so far. My girlfriend has been having issues with her work & I'm still searching for work. I turned 30 a week and a half ago and for my birthday I got....a stomach-flu! yay! been sick since then oof

Flat Fullbody - $40

Flatly coloured full body single character art piece.
Includes white shines for things like eyes, wet skin & metal, optionally includes a gradient to indicate light source & a simple background of simple shapes or transparent.

Addons
Extra Character - Add an additional character to any fullbody piece.
This is an additional half to the base price of the standard full body piece.
eg; Flat Fullbody is $40, it is +$20 for an additional character to be added, 2 characters in a flat fullbody piece is $60

Terms of Service

- Client MUST be 18+ regardless of the content of the commission.

- I will provide Works in Progress for each step of the work until completion, this is to ensure the client is pleased with the progress & for any changes which need to be made are made as the work progresses. Small fixes can be made after completion although larger fixes will require further payment so make sure you speak up during the WIP process to get exactly what you want.

- Refunds are available, you are able to get a full refund up until the lining point of the commission, of which then I will offer a partial refund for the work I have completed.

- For Payment method we will need to discuss in a private message, this is due to how nasty online payment processors have been to artists, especially those who do NSFW content.

- You have the right to re-upload, edit & use your commissioned piece for Personal Use only. This means you cannot create copies to sell or create merch from, you may not profit off the work I have done with real or cryptocurrency, including NFTs. If you intend to use my work for Commercial Use, please be upfront & we can discuss it, prices will change.

- I also retain the right to re-upload, edit & use the work you have commissioned for Personal Use, to promote my work & commissions in the future. I will not sell merch based on your piece, nor copy it fully for other clients unless it is a pre-made YCH.

- Payment is to be made when I have okayed everything & I will send you an invoice. I may put you on hold to work on another client's piece & only ask for payment when I am ready to take on that workload. Payment is to be made upfront when it is your turn. You are welcome to pull-out at any time during the hold period for any reason, you don't need to tell me why (same goes if you need to refund).

- I reserve the right to cancel or decline a commission for any reason which I may or may not give an explanation for. I will offer a full or partial refund if the situation calls for it.

- I will do disability aids, diverse body types & hair types/textures free of charge.
- I will do NSFW, wings & other complex artwork for which the price may raise due to risks with payment processor & due to stress on my hand/wrist. ( I love drawing wings but my hand don't, sad)

- I will not draw;

under 18 characters in NSFW (even if ‘aged up’)

( Some of the things on my 'will not draw' list are personal discomfort & feelings, I do not hold all of these things as being the same beyond they are things I will not draw. Some of these are serious topics whereas others are just personal squicks.)

- If you are unsure of something like a specific fetish, feel free to ask me, though I am open to drawing pretty much anything that isn't on my "will not draw" list. I may not post certain fetish art to my gallery though, however you are welcome to do so in your own gallery.

- Please have what kind of commission you want in mind when you come to commission me. I will at least need the commission type & character(s) you wish for me to draw. It is appreciated if you have a fully coloured digital reference sheet with flat colours of your character(s), pose reference images, expression reference images, ect. Though I can work off any character images you have on hand, or even by a detailed description. I can also work with artistic freedom to decide what kind of posing/expression you would like.

- This is not a requirement however if you have a discord account I would really prefer to use that as a way to contact you for updates on your commissioned piece. Otherwise the note system here or an email will suffice.
