So I was watching the latest Monsters at Work, and as the credits finished rolling, it did the thing streaming services always do and minimize the video to promote something related to what I just watched: in this case, Monsters Inc., naturally. The logo, the description, and a picture of Mike and Sulley. And the minimized video just happened to be in just the right place to obscure Mike's face AGAIN! I don't know if that was intentional or not, but I burst out laughing.

Dang, I really don't use this enough. The last journal I posted was a whole year ago.
In any case, my birthday is coming up on February 12, in case anyone's thinking of making gift art or something.

Somehow I fell for a scam this morning, even though I saw all the red flags. Sent out a help request, so hopefully I'll get it back soon.
While I'm waiting on that, I might as well raise awareness of this kind of scam. If someone tells you your account will be deleted for "having duplicated items" or something like that, DON'T LISTEN TO THEM!

EDIT: Two days later, Steam Support got it back for me, safe and sound! I'm gonna be more careful with it from now on.

I went out and got myself a new laptop the other day, an ASUS TUF FX505GT. One of those budget gaming laptops, and it was on sale. It may not be top of the line, but it's not bottom of the barrel either, and leagues better than my old laptop. It can run my favorite games and software smoothly, and that's what counts.

Dang, I had no idea FA got a new look. All this time I've been using the classic theme and felt like the site's layout was stuck in 2005, but now... wow! It looks so much nicer.

So, I plugged my old Bamboo tablet into another computer out of curiosity, and it turns out the hardware is just fine. The problem was the cable. Something inside must have bent the wrong way, and that's why my computer's been having trouble recognizing it. Bought a new one, and it's working like a charm.
Switching back from the Huion I've been using in the meantime was a little tricky, though. Sure, the Bamboo's texture was nicer, but it doesn't have hotkeys. Still, it was a relief to know I wouldn't have to open it up or throw it out.

Well, my drawing tablet seems to have finally kicked the bucket. It occasionally works, but never long enough to get a good drawing going. I'm getting myself a new tablet, a Huion Inspiroy H640P, but I won't be drawing for a while, at least not digitally.
