As you may have noticed, I removed most of the group links from my profile information. Shopwreckers was officially shut down as a group so no point in keeping it here (not even sure if Bucktown is still releasing new raps), but the one that was more important to me to make was getting rid of the Herm Furs link, because I now understand how 'herm' and 'hermaphrodite' are used as anti-trans slurs, particularly towards transfemme people, and I don't want to contribute to that. I'll also be changing the submission info on several of my pics here to change their gender markers from "herm" to "non-binary" - considered using 'intersex' but it doesn't quite feel appropriate for the characters in question. Also it feels like that would be linking gender to physical sex, which it's not.

At the moment, I'm leaving descriptions and tags alone, largely because I haven't quite decided what to do with them.

Updated my profile information to remove some groups and change up my featured submission; I'll have a more substantial journal later about one of these changes in particular.

1. While I've been going to anime cons ever since I started college, and I've been in the furry fandom since 1998, I've only been to two furry cons total in my life thus far. And those were both within the past year.
2. The impetus for my going to my first furry con (MFM08) was that, as a member of staff for my second furry con (Furry Fiesta 09), I should probably attend a furry con before I try to help run one!
3. While I've been interested in anthropomorphics all my life (Robin Hood was my favorite Disney movie of all time, and I'm a huge Sonic fan),  rikmach was instrumental in helping me discover the fandom, and  teiran whom I met in my very first college CompSci class dragged me deeper.
4. I'm a science fiction geek. You probably guessed by the Star Trek uniform I'm wearing in most art of me. :3
5. While I've never fursuited (yet), I have cosplayed. My very first A-Kon I dressed as Satsui no Hadou ni Mezameta Ryu from Street Fighter Alpha 2. Another year, I was Beecher, the kilted security officer, from the webcomic Can't Sleep, Con Will Eat Me (http://cantsleep.magatsu.net). And yet another, I was Moaning Myrtle from Harry Potter. I'm hoping to debut an Eighth Doctor (from Doctor Who) costume, possibly as early as Midwest Fur Fest 09.
6. I used to perform with Three More Doritos, a Rocky Horror Picture Show troupe in Dallas. Never as part of the main cast, regrettably, though I did audition Eddie, Rocky, and Brad and blew all three. ~.~ But I was a floorwalker and tech for about six months or so.
7. Like  sunstreak, I love long hair. I want to have long hair. I have issues growing long hair. ~.~ My hair tends to get all curly and balk. If I can actually get it to grow to my shoulders, though, it's the right color and level of curl/wave that I won't need a wig for my Eighth Doctor costume. Which will put me one up on Paul McGann, who actually WAS the Eighth Doctor. >.>
8. Despite being my most prevalent username and online presence for something like eight or nine years, I have never considered the character of Sonnette to be my fursona. And the only reason I'm still known as that here is because I'm too lazy to move everything to a new account and let people know about it. >.>

Finally got around to posting some long-overdue commissions and gift art: two badges I got prior to Mephit Fur Meet 2008, one I got shortly after Furry Fiesta 2009, and one non-badge picture that I got at Project: A-Kon 2009. Enjoy!

Just realized with some amusement... all three pictures currently visible on my page as of June 4, 2008 are Fred Perry A-Kon commissions: my Feature is his rendition of the goddess Amber Walker from two years ago, my latest submission is this year's sexy Brittany pose, and just below her in my favorites is MaveriKat's commission of Cyan, also from this year, and in a similar pose to her daughter... except with more clothes!

Well, A-Kon is over and done with now. BAR-1 was really busy this year, and didn't quite get my commission finished; he'll email me when it's ready, and I imagine I'll get the digital version first, then he'll mail the hard copy. I do have my new Fred Perry commission, and am about to upload it. :)

I've got two pending commissions here at A-Kon now: a nude of Brittany Diggers from Fred Perry, and a piece of pr0n from  bar1scorpio featuring Chakat Silverstreak and my Kzinrett fighter pilot Erma "Cheshire" Blair. :D

I'll get them scanned & posted as quickly as possible after they're done!

This weekend is Project A-Kon, the big annual anime convention here in Dallas. I'm working AV Tech staff (badge name Chakat Silverstreak), so if you're there and you go to any panels, don't be surprised to see me there working the equipment. :)

And, of course, A-Kon brings with it a new round of commissions! We'll see what I get this year. I know last year I broke with tradition and got a non-porn pic from  bar1scorpio, but I'll probably ask him for a porny one this year. :)

Hands down, awesome game, even if I do still miss Mewtwo. My character roster is now complete, too... I need to learn how to play Sonic effectively, but in the meantime I still have Samus and Lucario.
