Posted 9 years agoDon't really like stating why, particularly at this time of year 'cause I feel it's a bit selfish and attention grabby to announce certain personal annual events, but I'mma put this up instead.
I won't be available from... a couple hours from now (25th) until about Tuesday night or Wednesday (26th/27th). Got a bunch of mates coming around to play Smash and other things, get some good ol' couch multiplayer going on Screen Cheat or something.
The 26th of January happens to be Australia Day, as well as something else for me. So if I'm not here, please get your Australian on for me! :D

Posted 10 years agoIt amuses me a whole lot, in all honesty, how many profiles I've visited that have steam links that lead to something that doesn't exist.
I know that a lot of the time, it's a simple misunderstanding. Steam is just like most other chat platforms are, you can change your name at will, and from what I've learned, most people here on FA write down their current steam username as their steam profile information on FA.
That's not how it works, guys.
To clarify, before anything further, your current steam name is completely separate from your steam ID. you can call yourself whatever you want, your steam ID remains unchanged, and you should be putting your steam ID on FA, not your username at the time.
Y'see, steam also sets up unique webpages, home pages, for your profile where you can decorate and arrange things as you see fit. FA isn't asking for your steam username (as that more often than not for most steam users changes fairly frequently). FA is asking you for your unique steam URL.
While setting up your steam profile you're given the option to create a unique URL for your steam profile page. That's what FA wants. In fact, FA even has the same URL string right next to the field it wants your unique steam URL entered.
If you're unsure if the current contact information for steam is correct, go to your FA userpage and click the steam name you've entered. If it doesn't lead to your profile, you'll need to do the following.
1) go to your steam profile page.
2) If through steam, right-click anywhere on the page and select "Copy Page URL" / if using a web browser, copy the URL in the address bar. To ensure you have the right address, paste the copied information into a notepad or any available space. Your link should look something like this: https://steamcommunity.com/id/SolidScale/
3) Go back FA, open up your Profile Information and go down to the Contact Information section where your steam information is located.
From the URL you have copied, you only need to insert one specific section of the URL into your steam contact field.
For Example, this is my steam URL and what I need to put on my FA profile is the part in bold.

Posted 10 years agoI like making long journals to keep people guessing about what I'm writing, have you all linger around to figure out what the point of the journal is.
But not this time. Hype can kill a game for anyone. I know this well enough myself. Regardless how well the game functions, regardless the balance, the mechanics, etc, hype can destroy anyone's interest in playing or touching the game. Happened with me and League Of Legends and Final Fantasy xiv, and many others. Regardless what game, what genre, who developed the game, if you hear nothing but ceaseless praise about a game/movie/book/series/whatever, you -will- grow tired of it, and you -will- refuse to take part in it.

Reluctance
Posted 10 years agoRecommendations are things that come by me frequently, but regardless what it is, I always decline for a handful of reasons.
Most usually it's due to the mundane and inane nature of the things being shared, or a conflict of interests between myself and those that are sharing. A random image someone grabbed from 9gag, tumblr or facebook that I don't find amusing, or has no relevance to myself, my interests or what I've said and done with the sharer. A video meant for laughs for a humour that I don't have.
Most of the time I'm reluctant to look at links thrown my way due to 90% of the time, they serve me no purpose and waste my time, especially while I'm already preoccupied.
But then there's others. Recommendations and suggestions by friends who either know my interests, or not. Suggestions for movies to watch, books to read, games to play, etc. All with some valuable, valid input as to why I should take the time to get involved. Despite trusting their judgement, I'm still reluctant. Why? Because I know if I do get involved, I may not be able to pull myself away.
Recently, a friend gave me a copy of Doctor Halsey's Diary that came with his copy of Halo Reach. He insisted I read it, and I reluctantly did just so. I missed about 45 minutes of conversation.
Even more recently, I've had a handful... well, quite a bit more than a handful of people suggesting I play a game. One, in fact, threw a copy of the game at me and insisted I play it.
Reluctantly, I did. I knew it was going to grab me, I knew it was going to pull me in, so I went in trying to be logical, objective about the game, try and stop myself from being sucked in. Maybe I'd be able to keep it out of my mind while I visited a friend to play some Halo 5.
Throughout all the hours of Halo 5 campaign I played on my own ('cause it doesn't have local split-screen co-op to everyone's surprise), all I could think about is Toriel and what the rest of Undertale has to offer.
Yes, this was just about me loving Undertale.

I had a well thought journal written out to detail some of the things that happened in my life that I haven't spoken about, but... s'all gone. I suppose for now I'll just list a few things that have happened and haven't been mentioned.
This is fairly old news, especially if you're a close friend of mine and the person involved, and I don't remember putting this out in the open... at all? So I may as well say it here.
Zephyx and I are not together. We are not a couple and we haven't been for a long while. The reason why i never said anything? I care too much about him, and nothing hurts more than having a whole bunch of people remind you that something that hurt actually happened. Didn't want him spammed with sympathies, nor did I want that for myself.
It was... mutual. Things weren't working out between us. We're still good friends, and I love him as a close friend. He's delightful.
Some of you may be confused or scoffing at the fact that this has to be written, as if it wasn't obvious enough. Truth be told, somehow, some people still didn't know, and I still have people coming to me believing he and I are together.
Second thing. Rather recent, still a fairly deep wound for me.
Delayed for the same reason as the above. As much as I appreciate sympathies, love, condolences and the like, I don't enjoy mass reminders of the painful event that's just happened. I'unno why I see things in that light, I just find it more painful than comforting.
On the 12th of October, my pet dog of fifteen years died. She lived happy, healthy and long. Few health issues, few serious cases, rarely if ever got sick. I loved her dearly. Needless to say, I've never seen the family and myself so destroyed by this seemingly out-of-nowhere turn of events for her.
Between these two events, my life has been a little rough on the emotional side. No where near as much as a lot of other people, I understand that. But it is a lot for me.
Why am I writing all this down? I don't know, honestly. Maybe just to help explain my gradual but apparent shift and change in personality. Times change and I have/am.
Regardless, what hasn't changed is my love for my friends. I just need to get the love back for drawing and being involved.
I appreciate any condolences and comfort you may wish to leave, but don't feel like it's necessary. Honestly it'd probably make me break just reading/replying. If you want to comfort me, I thank you. No need to comment for it.

Posted 10 years agoSo... I'unno. It's 2AM now, I'll probably get up at 10AM to Midday (about ten hours from this journal's posting.)
From the time I wake up to the time I sleep I plan to draw up all of those trades I've gotten into (plus silliness and other things), and stream it as well. It's been a week since I've even doodled and I can't be stalling with trades on the line here.
But, I've also yet to hear much from a lot of those I've listed for trades since starting, and some I have actually sketched up already. I may have to put a cut-off date to render trades that have had no input from the other person ceased. Obviously this bares no regards to those who have already completed their part of a trade with me and are waiting on my part. Just keeps me from bothering in drawing for those who've no intention to follow up or just receive free sketches from me (Of which I've deliberately only drawn my own characters).
With that being said.
Anyone doing an art trade with me currently that has not produced anything or kept me updated, do give me a prod, let me know what's going on. Before I start my stream in the next 10-12 hours, I'd like to know who I should get to drawing for first, or rather, if I even should get to drawing for you.
Otherwise, your priority will drop and if I finish up all other art trades and I'm still waiting on you, I will consider dropping the trade.
Any sketches I have left over that are of decent quality I might touch up and sell as a YCH. And I'll be fair with it. Or try to. Speaking of, though...

Admittedly last time I tried to spread the word about his lovely lil' comic he was only a few pages in. Now, the first chapter is finished and up for your viewing leisure.
I'm not quite sure how to explain the story thus far. The plot so far revolves around the character Jayde, a student having enrolled at a film school that has some things going on behind closed doors.

Couple of things - Potential Weekend Stream
Posted 10 years agoI'm kinda lost right now as to how to start off this journal. I don't like starting journals and have them end in a few lines. Shout-outs I don't tend to need much but for informative journals I feel I should make them worth your time.
Probably why I don't post much. Hah :D
Anyway!
I'm having a guest! :D
For the first time I'm going to be meeting a close friend and a big inspiration for my fictional works this afternoon.
strawberrymog will be meeting me in the city for a lovely chat and some food (no I'm not going to eat him there). Better still, he'll be staying with me until Tuesday!
I'm so fuckin' eager, though. Could barely sleep last night. Honestly can't wait. Have to head out in two hours. Gosh. |3
Though with that being said!
I have no plans other than maybe a stream or two. Thinkin' that Tsumi and I will probably jump on oC and do some doodlin' requests, get a skype call going and have some fun.
I'll pop up a journal and submission in advance of the stream if one does end up happening.
Oh, and, AskLudash.tumblr is dead for now.
Had to clean out my firefox cache and cookie data and afterwards required me to log back into everything and I apparently set up two-step verification on my tumblr, to which I no longer own the mobile number or phone for. Can't receive the text message with the verification code, can't sign in. Emailed Tumblr support, everything they've wanted me to do is something I can't because I've never signed up or used the service they want me to use.
S'gone. There were a lot of good questions on there I had been planning out, but they're out of my reach now. I do have one batch saved, though. Should be amusing to a couple.
With all that in mind, I might consider making another ask-character-thing somewhere in another location. Just want something efficient and easy to manage.

Shout-Out - Alator - Film School Vore Comic
Posted 10 years ago Alator is a good friend of mine. Recently, to my surprise and pretty much everyone that knows him besides his boyfriend, he has started up a comic. I personally don't know how big or ambitious this comic is, but he's a fantastic artist and has been putting in a lot of effort so far. Three pages are out so far. Anyone interested in Soft Oral, Cock Vore, Anal Vore and unbirthing should definitely check out this comic.
