Our $8 turntable/receiver from Goodwill has had a good run, but after a sculpture fell on it, it just hasn't been the same. First the sound was going in and out, and now the speed is consistently too fast. SIGH

We need to bite the bullet and purchase a REAL turntable in the near future, because our albums are (very) sadly not being loved the way the ought to be ie: being, you know, PLAYED D8

SO. MUSIC FAGS. Best/better turntable? It just needs to play the albums! We don't scratch or dj or anything. If has receiver capability, that would be great, but not totally necessary.

Oh lordy, I suppose since '98, but back then I didn't know it was that big a group. I was just roleplaying Redwall in a chat room.

So I was roleplaying Redwall in this chatroom, and one of mah CYBER BUDDIES linked me to Yerf - after Yerf, I found out that all the GOOD shit horny teenagers want was at VCL. Oh my, I remember that I actually cried and felt horribly dirty after seeing my first piece of furry porn. I think it may have been my first exposure to porn, period, actually. o.o Ahah, a clue, Sherlock!

*What's your reason for furry (what interested you to get into the community)?
I wanted to see all the other Redwall fanart! Then I found Animorphs fanart, and GARGOYLES FANART OMG, and slowly I realized that I could blend all those things with mutants and monsters and humans and it had a name, and a place to put it all!

*What's Furry to you?
I don't know, dude. I guess anything that has to do with 'furry' specific communities. I guess when people have, specially, an interest in anthropomorphic critters/beings as the main characters, and not in an alien/monster specific way, then that's furry, to me.

*If someone found out you're a furry and asked you about it how would you respond?
Just what I say when they try to label me anything else - I say simply, I don't categorize myself that way =\ One interest doesn't define my life.

I use a few, but only to make cringe worthy jokes.

The furry community is like a leper colony when it comes to fetishes. It appears as though we find animals sexually attractive, so other the other crazy fucking fetishes get to come and play, too.

I think the furry community needs to have a HUGE sense of humor about itself. I think it's very healthy that the media make fun of it/us, and if it should encourage increased discretion, I'm all for that. Besides, it's not as cool when it's popular lololololol

*How strongly do you feel about anyone bashing you yourself for your interest based on the media's aspect of what furry is?
Not very - but, again, it's just ONE interest, and one that I have no great passion for. I wouldn't defend it, or be able to rationalize it. It's a guilty pleasure, I suppose. I LOVE to incorporate anthropomorphic elements into my (non-furry) artwork, and I would probably take offense to that if someone bashed it. But bashing me because I hang out on a site that celebrates inflation/vore/tf/scat/baby/fat COMBINED with furry? Yeah, really no good defense for that o.O

*We all know furries have a lot of sexual aspects in this fandom, What's your opinion on it?
I think real porn is probably the grossest thing I've ever seen. It's so clinical, so embarrassing, and I want to put a plastic bag over all of their heads (YES plastic, not paper THINK ABOUT IT). I enjoy furry slants on my kinks because it's easier for me to get into - iconic expressions, body types, scenarios, analogies, symbols... it drives home the fantasy/erotic aspect, rather than the THIS IS A DICK GOING INTO A HOLE type porn. (of course, furry has that, too, but I don't usually like that porn lol)

I think the more toony fursuits look like ass, but I've never liked them (except when I was five and at Disney-world o.o ). Toons should stay in two dimensions, otherwise it's just creepy. I enjoy realistic fursuits a little more, but only because I love practical movie monsters. The only reason I would fursuit/participate in creating a fursuit would be so we could make the most fucking awesome practical effects creature EVAR.

Not too many, but then again, I don't hang out with people just because we have ONE THING IN COMMON. That's kinda weird. Shit, I didn't even enjoy clubs in school for the same reason.

and I have three cats - my parents have 3 (we got them when I was in seventh grade), and his parents have two that we rescued as kittens from our apartment complex.

Hm, again, so far, being a Fur IS a choice - you might be born with a spiritual animaly thing, but that doesn't make you a furry. You're only a "furry" if you call yourself one, and if you do, be prepared for the popular witticisms associated with the connotation. I would probably never call myself a fur even if the media was favorable.

I've been to AC two or three times (I'm trying to block it out) - I just don't do crowds, I think =\ It was cool to meet a few people, but I genuinely hated being there. I hate being in my own house when there's too many people in it, though, so maybe I've just got a poor perspective on things.

I've also been to an anime con, which was equally claustrophobic, and uncomfortable, but I got some cool import stuff. Same at AC, got some arts that were cool, but I can get most of it online, any time. I'd much rather plan a playdate with a bunch of friends than actually attend the con, and I'm selfish and want them to just hang out with me and not split the time amongst so many people.

uuuuuhhhh that would be fucking creepy. I would NEVER just show up somewhere if I didn't know a majority of the people. Art openings even freak me out (Fucking socialites I MEAN).

I burned myself (YES ON ACCIDENT JEEZE) and by the time I pulled away, the burns had already turned white. It's just two little spots on the most distal knuckle of my right ring finger.

I ran it under cold water for a minute or so, then slathered anti-bacterial cream on it, and wrapped with a band-aid. There anything else I'm supposed to/can do? It still hurts ;_____;
