So I've been too quiet lately. In order to help make up for it, I've posted up a couple of stories that I have had up on SoFurry for a while but somehow neglected to share them here, so unless you watch me on SoFurry and have already seen these, go ahead and give them a peek! One is male/male and the other features good old fashioned straight sex, so there's something for everyone!

I know exactly what I want to write. I have it down in my head, down to fairly small detail. It's just a matter of putting my fingers on the keyboard and converting it into text.

As soon as I do, my mind goes blank.

With as often (or rather, how not often) I get a new story posted up, you'd think I was just really slow at it. And that's true. But it's only half the story.

I probably have a couple of other retarded story ideas bouncing around in my head and they tend to make things all the more difficult, as well. It's not that I have a hard time writing or coming up with new material - in fact, coming up with new material too readily is the problem. It's just so damned hard to focus on one thing at a time ...

Going to be in Orlando all week. Yay, I suppose! Then after that I have some stuff I should be ready to post. Yay again, I suppose :)

I was out of commission for a few weeks there. No time to write, no time to do much of anything. Whoops.

Hopefully that is going to change soon. Got a few things in the works. We'll see what happens :)

It's not so much that I can't think of what to write about. It's more that I can't settle on something to write about.

Did an inventory of my "pending projects" and the list is exhaustive. I have my full-length novel of a continuation of The Conscript that continues to slowly grow. I have a pair of mid-sized novellas, one whimsical, one serious, both about half done. Then there's half a dozen or so salacious short stories in various stages of completion. The problem is I have a hard time narrowing down to just one to focus on, and then it just gets hard to get anything done :)

On top of that I have now deigned to do an updating of an old TF that I posted back in my CYOC days that has somehow failed to make an appearance here. What am I getting myself in to? :)

In the meantime, I think I'll post a few chapters of one of my novellas I am working on. It's been too long since I've posted.

There is no better method of improving your art than making more of it, or so I have heard, so I am making an effort to do just that, and create/post more writing.

It isn't that I am running out of, or low on ideas. I have no shortage of ideas of things to write about. I have a couple of novels that I am working on, I have a handful of short stories in some state of development, and a whole pile of ideas filed away in my brain. No, the well has not dried up. It probably never will. But sometimes it is fun, sometimes it is interesting to work with an idea that is not your own. I've done it in the past and had a lot of fun with it; so I am considering doing so again.

So consider this a "I'm maybe opening myself up to the idea of commissions, requests, and/or trades" sort of post.

First off, before I get to those kinds of details, a little description of what kind of work I am open to doing. My typical short stories tend to run approximately 10 pages typed in a word processor; this typically works out to approximately 8,000 words. I am certainly open to writing something shorter, and can be goaded into writing something longer, but I am most comfortable with this range. A short story this long will take me approximately a week to finish based on the average amount of time I will spend on it.

I am pretty flexible with content. I "specialize" in transformation scenes but that doesn't mean I always want to be writing TF shorts. I am, obviously, OK with adult topics, sex, and so on. Fetish type stuff is OK as well but I draw the line at babyfurs, underaged stuff, and scat; also, the more unusual a fetish is the more difficult a time I am going to have with it, but that does not mean I won't try. I don't have issues with violence, death, etc.

That out of the way, back to the subject of requests/commissions/trades.

I will accept requests but that does not mean I will act on them. If I already know you well/consider you a friend I am more likely to actually do a request for you. Also, if you have a really fun idea or something that sounds just plain interesting to write, I may well go ahead and do it as a freebie request. If you think you have a neat idea feel free to bounce it off me, but don't be offended if I determine I cannot do it as a request at the time. Ideas remain your property and if I do not write something for you I will not use your idea for something else.

I will also happily consider trades and commissions, but I am not going to set minimum prices/expectations at this time. Rather than tell you I will give you X number of pages for Y number of dollars, or offer a certain size short story in exchange for a character sketch, I believe in the good old "lets make a deal" system. You let me know what you want and what you are willing to give for it, and if I think it's reasonable (or close to reasonable) I'll get back with you for negotiations. Hell, you never know, if I like your idea enough I might just choose to do it for you for free, anyway.
