Quickie Update thingy
General | Posted 10 years agoMy upcomings in a nutshell... some things to talk about and other stuff. Just writing cuz I can.
Landed a jo... career, and am actually rather happy with it. I'll be making enough to start filling the hole I dug myself in financially and have plans to have fun while I'm still young. I plan to go to Vegas again in July to see my mates and that time just can't come fast enough. I'm just happy that I actually get to use paid vacation time so I don't have to worry about being broke the week after lol.
I also plan on getting a motorcycle this winter (because prices are better in the winter) to have for next year, something like a Yamaha FZ-07 or Suzuki DR-Z400SM (ie. bikes I can have fun with that won't kill me). I've gotten the fever to ride and want an excuse to get out more often so, decision made. :P

I don't think you know how big of a deal this is to me. Some people are like 'yeah, it's whateves... been there, done that...' but like, seriously. This is something I've been wanting to do since I was like 18. Here it is, 7 years later, and I'm rusty as hell, living the dream. House Hunting in Austin

Looking to move into a house in Austin in a couple of weeks. Finally going to get out of bumfuck-Lubbock and I'm taking
kilo with me!
Most likely I'll be north, like Pflugerville area. Can't wait to be closer to friends and family again, and to live in a house and not in an apartment! Also kinda scary trying to sell my car and stuff so I have money for the move and all that jazz.
Either way, hope to see my local Austin furs again soon!

Know Your Character Meme! (Just had to)

This is for Zain, of course...
What position does your character sleep in? ( i.e; stomach, side, back, etc. ) Describe why they do this — optional.
Zain usually sleeps on his stomach or sides, with his arms under his pillow. He loves the warmth of the bed and almost hugs the pillow at night.
Does your character have any noteworthy features? Freckles? Dimples? A scar somewhere unusual? etc.
He has longer fur along the back of his neck, almost making a mane. He trims the fur to make it a small mohawk and dyes it blue from the top of his forehead to the middle of his back. He also has a tattoo marking on his shoulder along with a dyed pattern on his tail.
Does your character have an accent? What does it sound like?
Just the standard American accent.
Do they have any verbal tics? Do they have trouble pronouncing certain words or getting their thoughts across clearly?
He can't say 'aluminum' properly to save his life. He has no problem voicing his opinion or getting thoughts out and can be a little too open at times about some things.
What are their chief tension areas?
Back and thighs. He loves running but it can take a toll on his legs and back, especially if he goes for a hike.
If you were to pick one song — and only one song — to describe your character, what would it be and why?
Seeya by Deadmau5. Zain loves to dance and is addicted to sweet bass grooves, and can easily get lost in a good song, which can be awkward if he has headphones in and someone wants his attention.
How does your character perceive themselves? Positive? Negative? Neutral?
Positive. He isn't afraid of who he is and tries not to let what others think affect him. He's open to anyone who's close to him about anything they want to know, and believes that if they don't like who he is, then they can deal with it.
Are they a quick thinker or do they need time to sort through their thoughts?
Zain can get through a sticky situation quite well, and thinks rather logically. He uses music to ease his mind and de-stress, and occasionally, if things are really rough, will slip out for a walk or run in nature.
Does your character dream or are their nights filled with an empty blackness? Describe a dream they’ve had or a night they couldn’t sleep and what they did to preoccupy their time.
Every once in a while, he'll have a dream that he doesn't want to wake up from, but most nights are just lost in his own little thoughts, or even songs. If he can't sleep, he will either put on some soft music to help him relax or do something a little more, mature.

Definitely a bus. Zain likes to see where he's going and doesn't like the closed, claustrophobic feeling of riding through tunnels. He believes that it's not all about the destination, but the journey.

This has been a topic that Zain always tends to avoid. He has an agnostic view, and can't really explain where he stands, but he thinks spending time and money on a God is ridiculous. 1. Zain LOVES music. Throw in some lights and it's like being on drugs for him.

Zain is normally a leader. He loves to teach others, especially on something he feels strongly about. If he isn't confident with the situation, however, he will usually just stick it out in the sidelines or follow and learn.

Zain definitely holds his ground when he can. He will try to avoid a fight whenever possible, but if you did something to piss him off, you'd better back off.

Zain believes in karma, and wouldn't dream of killing anyone with his own hands. That being said, if someone were to murder someone he loves, he can't promise a clean ending.

1. A comfortable little home in the mountains to live in, with good internet connection.
2. A stress-free life with no need for a stupid job.
3. Better handwriting.

General | Posted 12 years agoYup, I'll be leaving for Texas Tech University in about a week and am super excited about going. Got an apartment-style dorm with my own room and industrial grade lock so nobody will mess with my stuff. I'll be there for the next 3 years most likely, with visits during the holidays of course to Austin to see my friends and family there.
Got a question for anyone who reads this however. If any of you know any sociable furs up in Lubbock, TX can you let me know? So far, I'm going in empty on friends so I'll be goin out and meeting a ton of new people while I'm there.
