Art tips on hands?
Posted 7 years agoHello there, I really rnjoy drawong, but when I get to needing the hands on characters, I struggle there for a long while...
I prefer drawing three fingered hands -so a thumb and two fingers, but even have trouble there making them look right. Does anyone have some tips to help me understand how to draw three fingered hands?
Thank you for your time.

Posted 7 years agoHey everyone, I hope your first week of April is going well! Mine is gping pretty decent, and I have been in the midst of working and doing my semester class.
All that while, I have been working on refining and editing my Dinosaur Aliens as well, including working in drawing them myself.
I currently managed to draw one of my Triceratops characters' head, but haven't continued with the neck and rest of their body.
I WILL do that eventually but...just haven't been feeling it lately. Its not that I don't know what to do, I even have a pose in mind, I just..don't feel in the groove for it yet. I hope that makes sense.
But, when I do get back into that drawing mood, he will be my first priority!
Thank you for your time, and have great rest of your day.

I had a strange dream...
Posted 7 years agoI was with this random human, and we were walking through a forest. Coming to a clearing, there was this pit out in plain sight. Curious about it, we got closer to see it better. It seemed to be filled with some sort of...slime that would pulsate and move, like it was alive or something.
I don't know how we triggered it, but I remember it coughing up three individuals- it belched up two of them first.
The first two seemed to be...human children roughly 4 or 5 years of age, wearing clothing not of the year 2000. They looked like that Omish Pilgrim stuff.
They seemed to be unphased that they just...appeared from this goop, and were playing around -like chasing one another and such, probably a game of tag. It was a boy and a girl.
The third individual coughed up was a girl from around the late 1940s, maybe the 50s judging by her pinkish outfit and hat. She seemed bashful but played too, getting so caught up into it, she dropped her hat.
The human I was with and I just stared and looked at eachother in confusion. Moments later, the former two kids then jumped back into the goop at it engulfed and swallowed then down. The third child wa about to step back in, but I called out to her, having picked up her hat, and gave it back to her, to which she pit it on and jumped back inside and out of view.
The human and I talked, the former thinking about going inside to get eaten as well.
I asked "How do we know its safe? Or that we'd ever get out?"
The human replied, "We'd come out in the next century at least."
I then froze- coming out in the next century would mean we'd be in this creature -its belly I guess? I don't know how goo creatures work or Ameobas- until about 2101!
I was hesitant to do it, because I'd miss my mother- I don't know of she'd even be alive if i were to emerge from this things in those several years...
These three kids seemed to be unchanged by time, and THEIR parents surely were dead and missed them, probably freaked out when they were not able to be located.
The human I had been with while i thought on what to do had actually dived inside, getting gulped with ease, leaving me by my lonesome, just like I would leave my mother all alone if I were to go. I couldn't do that, that wpuld be extremely selfish in the long run, like suicide in a way.
I just stood there, staring at the "creature" as it gurgled and fake-churned at its occupants, then I woke up.
I don't know what it means at all...maybe..not to give up hope?

Dinosaurischian Mini Update
Posted 7 years agoHello folks, I hope everyone is staying warm!
I've decided after weighing pros and cons, that some more species -albeit small in hand-picked, will also have the feat of being able to dislocate their bones to adopt a semi-anthro posture, just like the Ceratopsians, Ankylosaurus (as well as its cousin Gastonia) and Stegosaurus.
The Dinos I chose are Iguanodon, and Parasaurolophus. YEs its literally just two, but I figured "why not?".
"But Spino, what about the Theropods? Surely they should be able to do this too right?" -The answer is no.
The reason being is I personally love all Dinosaurs, however I prefer Theropods in their bestial postures, since they are already technically bipedal and have arms. The Saurischian "versions" however, all have longer arms, two fingers and a finger like thumb; they may not terribly dexterous, but it has them being able to manipulate devices, objects and be even better at grabbing prey and the like!
Thank you for your time! If there are any questions or comments, feel free to post them below, and I'll see what I can do about answering you.

Happy Hatchday to me
Posted 7 years agoThe day has finally arrived, I am now offically 24 years of age!
I am not certain what I will do exactly though, since i will be asleep most of the day (after work).
Thinking maybe watching Dinosaur movies, or something pertaining to Dinosaurs if I am willing and able.
UPDATE: I managed to get Approved Time Off, so i don't have to come in to work tonight. Yay! ^_^

Hatchday in 3 Days
Posted 7 years agoHello online friends, Spino here -I'm still alive and well. I hope 2018 is treating each and everyone of you decently in tolerable levels.
Its been pretty chilly over where I live, only recently has it began to warm up finally- December and early January felt like he Ice Age for me! x_X
Since its the new year, that also means turning of age too; this February Fourth -Sunday- is my Hatchday! That's right, I'll be a twenty four year old Spinosaurus Aegyptiacus~
Sadly I'll be working into Sunday morning, and then Sunday night, so I won't exactly be able to "celebrate" for too long, and thats if I'm not snoozing after work for a good few hours; its a lot of work staying on your toes and functional during a graveyard shift!
Rest assured I'll suck it up, that's part of adulthood right?
Regardless, I still look forward to being one year older, I wonder if I'll feel any different than I do now? I do my best stay healthy and such too.
Have a good day or night!

A little thing about Spino?
Posted 8 years agoHello everyone, thought I'd drop this little tidbit here as a journal, in case anyone was curious:
Have any of you wondered why Spinosaurus doesn't have some sort of unique name, or fancy designation like some others usually give characters and etc?
Spinosaurus Aegyptiacus is my personal true-form, being well..ME, very close and dear to myself.
As such, I use Spinosaurus Aegyptiacus or "Spino" as my name, to shield my REAL name, and even use "Spinosaurus Aegyptiacus as my Pen Name. Coincidentally, Spinosaurus Aegyptiacus has to the beginning letters of my first "A" and last "S" name.
Only the people I have commissioned and online friends I trust, know my actual name, you know who you are
If I used my actually used my real name, it'd be ______________ Spinosaurus, or something like that. Spino or Spinosaurus will do of course~
So its just me protecting my identity is all.
HOwever, the closest thing you'll get to my real name is "A'renax", which is a certain version of my real name. Fans of a failed and dead game series will probably figure it out. If you actually DO figure it out, do not type it on this journal, thank you.
Just thought I throw that out here, so you guys and gals would know, thank you for your time. Hoists you up and hugs you to his chest

Theropod Anatomy Question
Posted 8 years agoHello everyone! I have a question for thise who love Dinosaurs like me, and or those whom are actual experts on Dinosaur anatomy...because I have a seriously importsnt wuestion to ask:
"Did theropods have a crop and gizzard, since they ARE SIMILAR TO BIRDS, or did they just have a gizzard-stomach? I know herbivores had a stonach that coild ferment and reduce plant matter easily over time with a decent metabolism, but as for theropods...I am at a loss...
I am a Spinosaurus Aegyptiacus, and as a fish eater, I know aquatic and semi aquatic creatires can chemically break down and dissokve fish or fish-like animals easily without issue -thank you a bunch to a certain, helpful, friendly massaging avian, you know who you are~-, but if its non fish, stone and other debris would be needed tonhelp brral it down much better. However...Spinosaurus is a theropod, regardless if being best suited for fish eating...did we have crops at all?
I have looked EVERYWHERE for paleontology articles, but haven't found anything helpful. I even looked at Alligators and Crocodiles, which don't have crops, soo..I have hit a massive dead end.
Thank you for your time!

Posted 8 years agoADVENT Fan?
Posted 8 years agoHEllo everyone, I'd like to say first I really love the XCOM series, or least the ones I have played, and enjoy the concept and universe for the most part, music, factions and thought put into it a lot.
However I actually enjoy the "villians" -the Aliens- a lot more, not to mention they are really to fun to play as in multiplayer.
However out of all the XCOM universe factions, I really really enjoy one in particular, and that is the faction or organisation called "ADVENT". ADVENT essentially is what remains of the Earth Government that surrendered to the aliens during/after the Invasion of 2015, where XCOM canonically actually fails horribly, to defeat the aliens, though its also sometimes allegedly said that XCOM may have hurt the aliens badly, but it didn't matter in the end, because the Governments cowered in fear within the background, and turned on XCOM, helping the aliens locate their base, and ultimately fracturing the organisation, thinking it was all but defeated.
In its place, is a Unified Earth, headed by ADVENT ,which collaborates and serves the aliens, though with an iron fist. I really enjoy the soldier type designs, the buildings, the environments, setting, and etc, especially pertaining to ADVENT. The cities look extremely clean and uniform for the most part, very futuristic; there are medical "miracles", breakthroughs, and more that couldn't have been achieved in Earth's sorry state before the Invasion. Of course this comes with downsides that most of the city populations do not, or aren't allowed to seen, being fed propaganda instead.
There isn't any war, hardly any struggle -unless you decide to live outside of the cities, then you're fair game for ADVENT and the aliens to kill, experiment on and worse-, and it all just seems CALM for once; pristine and happy, or happy enough, ignoring all the bad parts which I don't want to spoil in case someone hasn't beaten the game or gotten the game yet.
The ADVENT units, while maybe not as "impressive" as the XCOM ones in multiplayer even, are very interesting in how they need to be used in tandem with other units to work right or "better". They aren't as durable as some of the Alien forces, requiring you to be more careful with their fragile forms, but they aren't without some of their stronger built units, however expensive they might be. Heck, War of the chosen introduced three new "exclusively" ADVENT units, and I love using them.
All the ADVENT designs and concepts are really appealing to me...I'm not sure why else or what else to say about them, but...I jut really enjoy them a lot.
If you think I'm crazy for liking the villains, I don't mind; its each to their own likes and dislikes of course.
But what about you? What do you think? Any opinions? Questions?

Day of Infamy?
Posted 8 years agoHello all, I would like to ask for your opinion on something, because I am uncertain about a game I'm showing interest in. I make this journal primarily because I can find really of gameplay, are annoying commentaries as the person plays the game. I don't want to hear your voice, I'm looking for the gameplay.
The game I show interest in is "Day of infamy", a WW2 shooter similar to its mother game, "Insurgency". Its currently $10.99 until August 10th, and I dunno if I want to buy it. IT looks alright, but "Would I play it?" is the real question.
Do any of you have this game? Any opinions you have on it?
Thank you for your time.
