Yes, this is a FC journal. Wasn't gonna do one of these, but this con has brought me to some interesting realizations that I felt are worth mentioning. I wish I could have stayed until tomorrow, but with how drained I am - physically, emotionally, and financially - it would have been pretty bad for me to do so. I had an awesome time hanging out with  fenrirsabre,  gletscher, and causing homegandy with  ratspeed. Was amazing to finally meet some furs I've only spoken to online in person, and meet a ton of new folks.

I really realized just how far I've come socially and emotionally over the last five or so years. Back then, if someone had told me that I'd be so comfortable in such a social situation, I'd probably have just laughed. I suppose it's the whole concept of people wearing their fursonas - a very revealing aspect of themselves - literally on their sleeves. It really does break down a lot of barriers between people. Of course, my sporting of my Toy Soldier uniform helped a lot: with other Soldiers present, and an overall friendly atmosphere for Dr Steel's followers, it's pretty hard NOT to have fun and be pretty confident. I've really come to see just how comfortable I've become around others.

I guess that's why people get post-con-blues. After such an amazing weekend, constantly surrounded by friends and being able to really slip into my character, normal life is just... nothing.
