Those of you who use a laptop and the kind of external drawing tablet you plug into it (you know like usb cord, not like a tablet with a screen) : what kind of laptop do you have, and do you like it? Would you recommend it?


I've been needing a new laptop for years since mine broke way back, and I've had a few I've been looking at, but they're so expensive and I'm wary of getting one that sucks for running art programs, streaming, video editing, 3d stuff, etc. I have a wacom usb tablet already that I got as a gift a few years ago, so I'd like to use that with whichever laptop I get. I use Medibang for my drawing program currently.


It seems like anything decent for RAM and good screen colours etc. and decently future-proof runs between $1,000 - $2,000 USD which is... OOF... But if that's genuinely worth the investment I'd rather suck it up and aim for that than get some $500 junk that lags to death or dies in two years?


No one in my irl circles knows much about laptops or uses them for anything more than like, writing simple word documents and watching youtube, so I have no advice beyond the internet here lol ^^'


FYI before anyone says it, a regular PC (either buying pre-built or building my own) is just flat-out not an option for me and my living space. I don't wanna get into why. It just has to be a laptop lol.

But anyway yeah, if any of you have suggestions, I'd be very appreciative!!! Because drawing on my phone is killing me lmao c':

Soooo it's been a hot minute since I've been on here lol. Tbh I've been wanting to get back into using this place and my DA properly for a while, and now seems like a good time to finally get back into the habits of uploading and checking here haha. I miss the little community vibes these kind of sites had, and commenting on people's lovely art and OCs ;u;


I quit uploading my stuff anywhere but toyhouse and a few tiny discord servers with friends for a long time bc honestly, all the AI crap everywhere had me wary. But at this point as much as I utterly loathe it, it doesn't seem like it's going away anytime soon, and I shouldn't let that dread stop me from living life and sharing my creations. (Plus I really need to get to try and get my commission work off the ground eventually lol.)

Hi, I'm a bit of a noob, but I made an art twitter a while back and I'm trying to use it more! ^^' If anyone is interested in following (or giving me tips on how to post properly lol), I'd appreciate it!

It's strictly to post my art and occasionally retweet others' posts btw, I won't be doing any random blogging there or getting involved in politics/fandom drama. There are other spaces for that, but it won't be there.
