General - Review of 2015, getting ready for 2016!

another great year has past, and if you don't mind.. here's a short review of it
So, lets start!
January
Not even a month has passed, and one great event came up.
on the 21st of january I was able to participate one great event.
Suiting at the children's hospital in Rotterdam (NL).
Making those poor kids who needed it most happy again, thanks to FotofurNL.
You know you're doing it right, when you see them smile, it really feels good to do!
February
My new fursuit, Cookie the Rottweiler was born.
And had his first try-out at one of our carnaval-processions.
He sure needed some tweeks and stuff,
but then I knew I really booked progress in building fursuits!
Cookie was the new member of the RVS-Creation family, next to Riandro.
March
Again, turning one year older.. 24 to be exact.
But doing nothing on my birthday? No way!
On the 28th of March I visited the first edition of Dutch Comic con in Utrecht (NL).
Together with some awesome friends I had a really nice B-day!
And somethin's for sure: I really want to join the next DCC, so the tickets already have been ordered!
April
Like every year, the Elf Fantasy Fair!
An amazing fantasy event which I participate every year.
Have been fursuiting a little, and been with friends a lot.
It sure was nice, like every EFF!
May
On may 20th I was able to participate the first Opkikker event.
It was a great day, making sick children happy again!
I really need to thank Rin the Dragon for letting me participate at this event.
Those are the events I'm suiting for. This makes it worth doing!
June
It was only the 5th of June, but another amazing event came on my road.
Dreamnight at the Zoo. Another event which is organised for making sick children happy!
This was another unforgetable event, and I had the time of my life!
Yes, it was more then 32ºC, but who cares when you doing something good?

July
One month of nothing.
No fursuit events, only work, eat, shower, sleep...
But sometimes when there's nothing to do, there's nothing to do.. So be it!
Anyways... I had enough time to get ready for Eurofurence21.
August
And there it is... EUROFURENCE!
I really waited one year, and now it's there!
Having such a great time, enjoying time with friends... and before you know, it's over already.
And it's even shitter, knowing I can't participate EF22. :'(
But another great event came up, the week after Eurofurence21. Another Opkikkerdag!
Having another great experience by fursuitig on a speedboat!
September
September was a great month, I participate some really nice events in!
I went to the stripspektakel in Eindhoven (NL), which was the first event my mum was my spotter.
The week after that, I went again to Eindhoven (NL) for the 'make a wish' foundation.
And the last event that month, was again @ the childrens hospital in Rotterdam (NL).
Step by step really great events on their own. Thanks Thabo, Bing and FotofurNL.
October
A small but always fun weekend on one of the dutch Islands.
Furry weekend Texel again! Which is a really nice weekend of wind, sea and fursuiters.
Sadly I went ill that weekend.
Felt like flu, but wasn't.. but that doesn't matter, I'm already better now!
Had a great weekend anyways, and hope I can join next year! Thanks Mamawolf!
November
Only one event that month, but it sure was a nice event, like last year.
Again I joined the big fursuiters group that walked @ the sinterklaas intocht in Hilversum (NL).
Like the year before it was nice seeing some good friends again and walked by their side!
I hope I can join the next one again, thanks Thabo!
December
Yes... the last month. I've decided to take a short break. But guess what... I didn't had one!
The first time that I organised a meeting all by myself.
An charity event for the well known Dutch 'Glazen Huis'.
The Glas house is organised by a radio station, to get money for children in poor countries.
First we did a charity furwalk and got €200,- for charity.
But then... I've been called by the radiostation, if it was possible to get a DJ of them in a fursuit.
And ofcourse, I said yes. But what happened then? They've got me IN the glas house ('on stage').
That feeling... I just can't describe! A video will follow soon!
And Nikoz Blauwkat... I really really want to thank you for all the help!!
Well.. I think that's it so far!
I know.. long and boring stories in Dunglish..
But I just wanted to end this year by thinking about all the great thinks I've done!

Owh.. and: Soon the RVS-Creation family will have a new member!

Convention - Eurofurence21 Review, and some other stuff...

Finally I’ve made some time to write something like an EF review.
First of all, I had an awesome time there, and hope you guys and gurlz had a nice time as well.
I’ve met many nice people over there, and had great times with some older friends.
This year I suited a lot more, not with Riandro sadly, but with my Rottweiler pup Cookie.
Riandro got a little damaged sadly, and still need some repairs for the upcoming events.
But Cookie did a great job @ EF21!
Also my newest creation, Cap’n Coffeeshop was there.
I suited him once, and my boyfriend suited him twice (At the indoor photoshoot and Dutch group picture + parade afterwards).
Sadly my bf is totally not into fursuiting, as expected, but did a great job for the first time suiting!
Maybe Coffeeshop cat will be for sale later this year or at the beginning of next year.
Ofcourse I’ll sell him with pain in my heart, but he can better be worn instead of collecting dust in my fursuit-chamber.
So.. maybe, maybe… But first have to do some upgrades and repairs, and then we’ll see!
So, next up.. some more announcement, if it isn’t to TLDR for you guys? :p
I have to announce that I will not participate Eurofurence22 next year.
Why? In return that my bf always comes to my furry events, we’re going on a vacation to London and maybe Austria next year.
Ofcourse it hurts knowing that I can’t participate EF22, but… I’ll be back in 2017, and guess what?
With a whole new Riandro suit!
Yes, that was the next thing I wanted to tell you!
Before EF21 I’ve ordered some nice fur for a new Riandro.
But this time, it’s going to be a different one. It’ll be a semi to full realistic version of him.
I’m gonna practice some airbrushing details, and I have some other plans for him.
Sadly I will not uploading any WIP pictures, but you can follow RVS-Creations on Facebook for some updates.
But I’m going to take my time for this project, I want it to be as perfect as possible, so maybe it’ll take some months before finishing him.
And in the meantime, lots of events are upcoming.
So I have a lot of stuff to do!

Fursuiting - Cookies for Cookie-Dog!

First, yes I'm still alive!
I know that I haven't post some new submissions or journals lately,
but that's because I'm busy busy and.. busy!
Not only fursuit related stuff, well... okey, most of it is.
But also going to work almost every day.
So I tought, maybe I'll post something again,
and show everyone that I'm doing okey :p
Let's get straight to the point, because I don't wanna waste your precious time!
Yes! for the ones that checked my profile lately,
maybe have seen that I worked on a new fursuit last month.
Before I get some questions, I'll try to explain everything..
But always feel free to ask me some stuff :3
The character I've made lately is a K9.
Not just a regular husky or wolf, but a Rottweiler.
Why a rottweiler?
My parents love Rottweilers, and own them like... 25 years-ish?
So when I started fursuit building, my dad asked me (after Riandro 1 was done):
"Why don't you make a Rottweiler suit?"
I was a bit negative about that idea.
I liked our dogs, but making a suit..
and waste a lot of money for something I don't want? meh...
But... I ordered some brown fur, got some black...
and started a foambase.
Ofcourse it looked like crap, and I stoped building.
After finishing Vermin the AngelDragon I was thinking:
"what should I build next?"
And again, my parents poked me.
"You still have that brown fur, and you wasted a lot of black for Vermin..
Do you think you can still make that Rottweiler?"
I said to them that I was gonna try and do my best, and started to make a tooney headbase.
Like it was a miracle, it turned out pretty well!
So, here I am, one month later, with a:
Tooney Rottweiler Digitigrade fullsuit, named Cookie-Dog!
Before I started I was thinking about selling it when done,
but now.. I fel in love with him, so.. he has to stay!
You guys are probably curious how it turns out, not?
Well I already spoiled to much, so the rest will be a secret for now...
Untill Furwalk Eindhoven on 21st March, back here in the Netherlands!
And if it is rainy?
Well my back-up plan is to take him to Dutch Comic Con then :)
But I don't wanna be a dick.. so here's a little sneak peak

General - A Merry-fluffy-Christmas & a Happy 2015!

This draggy just wanted to sent you some lovely wishes for Christmas,
and hoping you will get all the things you wished for as a present from Santa :3
But what’s even more important is: please stay all healthy & have lots of fun!
So we can all see each other at meetings and conventions in 2015 again!
About meetings and conventions:
For this year I will not attend any more meetings (well… duhhh, but could be xD),
But I can tell you, for 2015, I have lots of meetings I’m planning to go.
And, this Draggy will attend Eurofurence21!
Yess! I finally had the chance to save some money the last 2 months due my new job.
I’m really really happy that I can attend this convention again!
And see some ‘old’ friends, and probably make some new ones!
So I hope you guys also get the chance to make some savings, and come to Berlin to make a great party there :3
And of course I’m trying to get a new Riandro suit before that time.
But I’m not really sure if this is going to happen, because of the ‘fur-problem’.
I’m still ordering samples from different kind of companies. US, UK, EU…
But every time I get to the mailbox, see an envelope, open it and see the wrong kind of colour…
Is a big disappointment.
So I’m still searching… and probably will do that for the upcoming weeks.
But.. Maybe it all changes in 2015.
And if not, I’ll attend in Riandro 2.1 and Vermin the AD.
For now, I’ll thank some peepz who are very special to me,
And made my furry-life just that more special.
Here we go~
First I want to thank Thabo for giving me a chance,
Letting me suit @ the stripmanifestatie Drachten,
and later this year on the Sinterklaas-event in Hilversum.
You can’t imagine how happy I am, attending at meets/events like this.
I always dreamed about this!

it all gave me a better view and understanding about some things… you know ;)

People like you, are the ones that make me stay in this fandom.
Otherwise I probably was out of the fandom already.
Chatting, talking and suiting with you, is & was so great.
I’ll never forget that moment of the fursuit parade on EF20.

Third, I want to thank Pinky/Furryfursuitmaker for an amazing time on Eurofurence20.
It was nice to chat and have a drink with ya,
and it all turns out so good after our disagreement earlier.
But! we still need to make an appointment to meet @ my place!
But I understand, we are both busy with some thingies, and we will find some time soon :

Fursuiting - Busy busy busy...

How are you guys doing? Some new things happen lately? Yeh.. I was so busy the last few weekends, I really had no time to check FA very often, sorry!
Hope you still know who I am, haha :D
just joking a little. I was very bust the last few weekends, or better, the last month. And I sure can explain you guys why.
First I had some problems with my job.
It took me a lot of time, and in my spare time I was so stressed up, I couldn't do anything else then stressing around for my next day at work.
But this is finally over now! Recently, about 2 weeks now, I have a new job!
Okey, it has still nothing to do with that what I studied for, but it's a nice work-place, nice colleagues, flexible work hours and it brings some money in my pocket.
So that means, I can plan my own working hours, that means, more time to do something with my fursuits again!
And ofcourse I haven't sit still at all!
on the 27th of september I started a new project, and some of you might have seen a little sneak peak of the handpaws.
Well, let's start here: My next fullsuit is going to be a Angeldragon. His name will be Vermin, will be black, blue and green... and.. the rest you will see soon!
You might think: "Why the fck a AD?" Yes, already got those reactions.
Why? Because they are cute, And I want to do something else then make a new Riandro suit, again.
So I choose a angeldragon, because they are an open species now.
No, I don't want to be a Telephone-rip-off. I want to make something special. Something differend. So I hope this is going to work.
So far.. I will not post WIP-pics. Why? I will keep it secret 'till the suit is complete! And this is not going to take very long.
Because the handpaws and body are almost done. The head, thanks to Jupiter-angeldragon (Kimberley) is also almost done too.
So I only have to make some feet, tail and little wings now.
Hopefully this suit will be done before the end of November then...
So, that's all I've got to say about my new project.
But.. Don't worry, there will be some nice Riandro pictures soon again!
I need to sort out the Elf Fantasy Fair pictures and Furry Weekend Texel pictures, and then I will upload some of them again!

Event - Elfia Arcen 2014 MEME

It’s almost Elfia Arcen again, and this Draggy will be there!
Well, After EF I tought I would have enough from suiting for about a year.. but guess…
NOPE! I’ll be suiting on Elfia Arcen (Elf Fantasy Fair) for 2 days!
When the weather will be okey, I’ll be there on Saturday from +/- 10:30 ‘till the evening, and will suit probably most of that day.
On Sunday I will put on my suit for a few hours. Because I want to see something from the fair in my ‘skin suit’ aswell ^_^
So If you see me, feel free to say Hi, and get a free hug!

Convention - Eurofurence20 Review

Yes, it do makes me sad, knowing all the normal shit is going on, like always.
But.. I can't complain about Eurofurence!
It was an awesome convention, I've met many new people, and had a really great time with all the people I already knew (and get to know better).
I've got so many compliments, I never tought that.
I really want to thank you guys, this con really felt like stepping into a whole new world, without problems etc.
Me and my bf made some awesome pictures, and I wish I could post every single one right here.
But I'll probably uploading a whole year, so here is a link where you can find all the pictures my spotter and I made.

Also I wanna say: Maybe it's time for a new suit in the future.
I still can't choose, between the angeldragon, Goblin Draconian (similair to Riandro) or my total new and über-happy design, a Foxsky. Pfff.. EF gave me so many new ideas. And I hope one of these characters will be alive next year!

I have a lot of things/events to do, and they all cost a lot of money.

Furry - “So, I’m a furry…”

Haven’t post anything lately, so, here’s a short update and a little meme-thingy about telling your family/friends/work etc. about being a furry.
But first: I started on a new head for Riandro 2.0. called, to make it easy ‘version 2.1’. I will post some pictures soon.
I made the eye-sockets a bit wider, and hope to have better sight when it’s done. If not, ow well.. at least I had something to do. The eyes of course will be LED eyes again.
But.. the eye-sockets aren’t the only thing that I have changed a bit, I also want to try to make eyelids on the resin eyes.
AND(!).. I have hidden a little secret inside of the head. But I’m not going to tell ‘till the head is done! Then I will make a short youtube video, and show it to you. But ‘till then.. you have to wait :)
But let us start with the MEME thingy, if you still want to read of course.
If not, you can ask me some questions of course, and stay tuned, pictures will be come soon!- First, how did you tell your parents that you are a furry?
Well, for some of you it maybe was strange to tell it your parents. I didn’t make a big thing about it. My parents already knew about Riandro, because I drew him since I was about 12-13 years old, I didn’t know about the whole furry thing myself at that time. So in 2012 I realised Riandro was my ‘fursona’, so I started on my first fursuit head when my parents were on holiday. So at the time they came home, I had my base done, and show it to them. That was the part I introduced them to the whole furry thing. I showed them this video. My dad didn’t even look at it the whole time, so did my mom. So they probably didn’t even see all of it. So.. easier for me, I didn’t explain everything, only showed them the suits and things. That’s how I explain my parents about being furry.
- Do your parents know about your fursuit(s)?
Yes they do! Like I said, the first thing they saw, was my head base of Riandro 1.0.
Second, if you haven’t already noticed, my mum helped me making the bodysuit of my first and second fursuit. Also my mother has seen me in my suit several times. My dad also helped making the LED-eyes in Riandro 2’s head. The only thing they never saw, was me on a furmeet/furwalk. And I don’t want them to see it, I don’t need to explain that.
- Does the rest of your family know about you being a furry/having a fursuit?
Yes they do. I showed them my suits, but didn’t explain the whole furry thing to them. I just said that I make the suits and going to ‘furwalks’ in several cities. They asked me why, of course. And I just replied them with: ‘I’m making some fun with friends, entertain people with it, and making these suits is my hobby’
- Did you explain/told you boyfriend?
A well.. I didn’t had to explain that to him. He already knew what furries were, and of course he hated furries with all his heart. Jap.. But he sees that I have pleasure in making my suits, and he supports me in it. He even is my spotter/photographer at furwalks and events. Yeah, his opinion never changed, but I’m happy that he supports me.
- What did your friends say, after you show/explain it?
I’ve got some different opinions, but the ones that were not familiar with the furry fandom were as good as positive about it. The ones who are familiar with it, were positive about my suit, and had respect for me making them. So I don’t had to explain much to them, when they didn’t asked for more information. I’m happy that they accept it for what it was, so I don’t feel like giving more information (no, I’m not a fur that has sex in suit, so why do I have to explain things other furs do with their suit? I only tell them that I have fun with entertaining people as a fursuiter, and making my fursuits)
- Did you tell people at your work/job about it?
At my old working place I showed them what I have made, and what I do (entertaining people) with it. As my friends, they had respect for me, making those suits, and doing all this. More they didn’t need to know. At my new job I only told some colleagues a bit, but not much. I don’t feel like telling them all of it. I only say something about it, when they asked me what my hobbies are, or what I had done the weekend before (and when I was at a meet in that weekend).
- You have facebook, do you keep your furry/fursuit things separate from friends/family/colleagues?
Nope. I have just one facebook account. And if they don’t like it, they can deleted me. I was against facebook ‘till 2013. Then I made a account that was furry/fursuit related. I add some friends, and after that, I’ve got many friend-invites, also from my ‘non-furry’ friends. So if they are not interested, they are always free to delete me. I upload fursuit pics, but also post some private things now and then. So It’s not that I only talk about my suit or something.
Well.. I think this is it.
There are no secrets about me being furry in my family, or to my friends.

Furry - Fursona MEME

long time no see!
because I'm very busy with my second full-suit I haven't post everything new yet.
But... He's almost done, Riandro 2.0's bodysuit is almost done, and there will be pictures soon!

So here a little MEME about Riandro (and me? o.o)

What is your main fursona’s name, gender and species?
My main fursona’s name is Riandro.
He’s male and his species is a dragonxhuman like race named draconian (or Draconic human).
That is why he has no wings etc.
What made you choose the species of your main fursona?
Well, I always loved dragons. But having a real dragon, feral, was not my first choice.
I wanted to create my own and new species, so I came up with that Mohawk dragon:
Riandro, and call it a Draconian.
Is your fursona just like you, or how you want to be?
Riandro is really how I want to be.
He’s nothing like me, but yeah, it’s my fursona, he lives in my own fantasy world, so he can’t be like me with all those adventures he has, haha! xD
Does your fursona have the same personality you have?
He’s nothing like me, he’s more quiet, loyal etc.
when I have to choose somebody that really acts like my fursona, it would be my boyfriend.
He’s exact how I imagine Riandro to be.
Does your fursona have the same dislikes and likes as you do?
Neh, he’s totally different from me, like the last two questions.
The only thing that maybe similar to me is the food he eats. But yeah, like I said, he’s from a totally different era.
Does your fursona look like you at all?
Neh, last time I checked:
I’m still a human, and not a male green dragon that’s about 7,61ft tall with a dark green mohawk.
Is your fursona the same gender as you, if not why?
Nope, I’m female, Riandro is male.
Why? Maybe because I really love the shape of a man’s body. Also I find it easier to draw a males body than female.
I don’t really know any other reasons.
Do you have more then one main fursona?
Nope, I only have one main fursona.
Yes, I have some different side characters, but I do not draw those guys very often.
I stay with Riandro.
Do you have a back story for your fursona, if so does it have anything to do with your own history?

Nope, my fursona isn’t mated.
Yes, in my own fantasy stories he has a crush on a other female draconian, but they never will be mated.

Nope, like I said. Riandro isn’t really looking for a mate, so please don’t draw him with a other female without my permission.
I love gift art and that, but I want to know about it first.
Is there something special about your fursona that you think sets them apart from others?
I think the big green Mohawk is something special, never seen other dragons with a Mohawk that high.
But I can be mistaken ofcourse!
Do you have much art of your main fursona/s?
Yap I have, most of it is drawn by myself.
But there are some artist that draw me gifts or commissions I’m really happy with!
Would you ever consider parting with your main fursona, if so why?
Never!
No.. Riandro means to much for me, and he’s definitely mine, and stays mine ‘till I die.
So nope, that’s not going to happen, ever.
If you suit, do you have a suit of your main fursona?
Yes, I do suit, and yes I have two suits of my main fursona made by myself.
And I really really love to suit with them!
Have you ever roleplayed with your main fursona, or do you prefer not to?
Yes, some years ago I have played RPGs on Animexx.
But in that time it was Riandromon (the beginning of Riandro, a digimon), so I never have played the ‘furry’ Riandro in RPGs.
Do you consider your main fursona to be a part of you in any way?
I think, the rest of all those questions have said enough.
So I don’t think I have to answer this question with a fursona that exists more than 10 years in my life! =)

Furry - How I became a Furry
General | Posted 12 years agoI don’t know if there are people who are interested in this, but I thought it would be cool to write down how it all started, my life as a furry.
It’s not a short story, I will tell it all from the beginning ‘till now. I’m still surprised how it came so far. But.. enough of this, let’s start!
As a little girl at the age of five/six years old, my favoured animal was a rabbit.
I had so many rabbit plushies, that I could barely sleep in my own bed.
My whole bed was full of rabbit plushies, like 20-30 of them.
I wasn’t like any other girl. I’d love to be outside, playing with friends, making treehouses or other things like that.
At the age of seven/eight I made my first character, a bunny rabbit. It was a rip-off from Jazz Jackrabbit.
A green one with a red sweatband around his head. I used to draw him a lot.
And while I played outside with my friends, I always wanted to be that bunny rabbit, called ‘super hare’ (superhaas in Dutch). On school when we had breaktime, we also played ‘super animals’.
Even when I was at home, I fantasized about a show, presented by a german shepherd called ‘prowler the shepherd dog’ (in Dutch Sluiper de herdershond), who presents super hares adventures who’s fighting with dragons.
You may think: “jap, weirdo..” I understand, It’s all kinda weird, but I had so much fantasy in the younger years, I was only seven or eight years old, haha.
At the age of ten, I transferred to another school due to bullying.
The ones that bullied me, were, at first, really good classmates of mine. I still don’t know why they did this, but I know they have hurt me and my self-confidence really badly.
I still had some friends left, but my life had changed. Other school, new people, new way of teaching.
The friends that always played outside with me still did, I even had a new friend, which I made shortly before changing my school.
She was my new best friend then, and we loved to watch TV shows like Pokémon and Digimon together. In a short time I got really sucked into Digimon.
I loved this show much more than Pokémon. Together with my new best friend we loved to play with my Digimon action figures.
But life still changes.. She had to leave because of her dad’s work. She moved to Bastogne, leaving me behind.
We still had some contact, but it was by letters and now and then a phone call.
But life still goes on. I barely had friends at my new school.
My love for digimon was still there, and the third season of Digimon had started. That was the season with Guilmon and Renamon.
I fell in love with Guilmon, and just like Takato, I drew my own Digimon. It was a dino/dragon, like Guilmon, but green with a big dark green Mohawk, called Riandromon.
That was the beginning of Riandro(mon).
I always loved to draw him, but I had a hard time getting the anatomy right, so I always searched for some examples.
That was the part that Animexx, Deviantart and Furries came into my life.
On Animexx I loved to role-play my character Riandro(mon) in Digimon role play games. And uploading my drawings I made of him.
On Deviantart I searched for Digimon art (Guilmon,Renamon), and I found a Renamon costume.
I was so surprised, I went to my mother and asked her if I could make my own Renamon costume, but she didn’t want to help me with that.
So I stopped asking for that, and just… leave it be.
But still on Deviantart, I found some art that wasn’t human, and animal. It was something between this.
They were called.. Furries. I get really interested in furry art, and I couldn’t stop searching for it.
Years get passed, and I was getting older, going to the next school, met new people, but Riandro(mon) was still the same.
But in fear I might get bullied again, I changed his name into Riandro. But still drew him, like younger years.
Nothing really changed in those four years, only that I got my first boyfriend at the age of seventeen.
He was a non-furry, and in one of our first conversations he asked me if I were a furry. I answered no.
So I lied, but it doesn’t bother, because I didn’t see Riandro as a real fursona at that time.
The funny thing was: I showed him my art and also drew new Riandro art, but still didn’t saw Riandro as a fursona.
But… four years later… I met a friend of a classmate of mine, on the Elf Fantasy Fair.
She had a furry costume, made by herself (and she is still a friend, and here on Furaffinity now, the user that’s called Piaa). I got really interested in how it’s made.
I started to search “how to make a furry costume”, and I said to my friend: “I’m going to make one myself, Riandro!”.
My boyfriend, still the same I met in 2008, said: “No way in hell that this will be a success, you can’t make a fursuit, that’s way too hard to make for you!”.
That was my challenge! I wanted to show him that I could make a fursuit, and I did!
September 2012 was the beginning of Riandro 1.0, and it was a success!
I fell into the furry fandom, started to be at furwalks, furmeets and get a lot of new friends thanks to Furbook.nl.
And I’m happy and really thankfull my boyfriend accepted this. He’s still a non-furry, but helps me with constructions, spotting and taking pictures.
In March 2013 I started my second suit, Jazzy the cyber-bunny. That still lets me think about Super Hare, earlier in this story.
I went to lots of meetings in 2013, and I got really interested in the Eurofurence. I saw video’s and pictures of friends who went to EF in 2013.
And I felt like making a new suit, that had to be ready for Eurofurence 2014! In September 2013 I started on Riandro 2.0, that’s almost done at the moment.
And on January the 18th I registred myself and my boyfriend for Eurofurence 20… I never felt so excited before. And this is going to be great, I can feel it!
So far so good.. now here we are, now, on the 26th of January. Registration and payment is done, and the waiting has begun. Waiting for Eurofurence 20…

Even when I was at home, I fantasized about a show, presented by a german shepherd called ‘prowler the shepherd dog’ (in Dutch Sluiper de herdershond), who presents super hares adventures who’s fighting with dragons.
You may think: “jap, weirdo..” I understand, It’s all kinda weird, but I had so much fantasy in the younger years, I was only seven or eight years old, haha.
At the age of ten, I transferred to another school due to bullying.
The ones that bullied me, were, at first, really good classmates of mine. I still don’t know why they did this, but I know they have hurt me and my self-confidence really badly.
I still had some friends left, but my life had changed. Other school, new people, new way of teaching.
The friends that always played outside with me still did, I even had a new friend, which I made shortly before changing my school.
She was my new best friend then, and we loved to watch TV shows like Pokémon and Digimon together. In a short time I got really sucked into Digimon.
I loved this show much more than Pokémon. Together with my new best friend we loved to play with my Digimon action figures.
But life still changes.. She had to leave because of her dad’s work. She moved to Bastogne, leaving me behind.
We still had some contact, but it was by letters and now and then a phone call.
But life still goes on. I barely had friends at my new school.
My love for digimon was still there, and the third season of Digimon had started. That was the season with Guilmon and Renamon.
I fell in love with Guilmon, and just like Takato, I drew my own Digimon. It was a dino/dragon, like Guilmon, but green with a big dark green Mohawk, called Riandromon.
That was the beginning of Riandro(mon).
I always loved to draw him, but I had a hard time getting the anatomy right, so I always searched for some examples.
That was the part that Animexx, Deviantart and Furries came into my life.
On Animexx I loved to role-play my character Riandro(mon) in Digimon role play games. And uploading my drawings I made of him.
On Deviantart I searched for Digimon art (Guilmon,Renamon), and I found a Renamon costume.
I was so surprised, I went to my mother and asked her if I could make my own Renamon costume, but she didn’t want to help me with that.
So I stopped asking for that, and just… leave it be.
But still on Deviantart, I found some art that wasn’t human, and animal. It was something between this.
They were called.. Furries. I get really interested in furry art, and I couldn’t stop searching for it.
Years get passed, and I was getting older, going to the next school, met new people, but Riandro(mon) was still the same.
But in fear I might get bullied again, I changed his name into Riandro. But still drew him, like younger years.
Nothing really changed in those four years, only that I got my first boyfriend at the age of seventeen.
He was a non-furry, and in one of our first conversations he asked me if I were a furry. I answered no.
So I lied, but it doesn’t bother, because I didn’t see Riandro as a real fursona at that time.
The funny thing was: I showed him my art and also drew new Riandro art, but still didn’t saw Riandro as a fursona.
But… four years later… I met a friend of a classmate of mine, on the Elf Fantasy Fair.
She had a furry costume, made by herself (and she is still a friend, and here on Furaffinity now, the user that’s called Piaa). I got really interested in how it’s made.
I started to search “how to make a furry costume”, and I said to my friend: “I’m going to make one myself, Riandro!”.
My boyfriend, still the same I met in 2008, said: “No way in hell that this will be a success, you can’t make a fursuit, that’s way too hard to make for you!”.
That was my challenge! I wanted to show him that I could make a fursuit, and I did!
September 2012 was the beginning of Riandro 1.0, and it was a success!
I fell into the furry fandom, started to be at furwalks, furmeets and get a lot of new friends thanks to Furbook.nl.
And I’m happy and really thankfull my boyfriend accepted this. He’s still a non-furry, but helps me with constructions, spotting and taking pictures.
In March 2013 I started my second suit, Jazzy the cyber-bunny. That still lets me think about Super Hare, earlier in this story.
I went to lots of meetings in 2013, and I got really interested in the Eurofurence. I saw video’s and pictures of friends who went to EF in 2013.
And I felt like making a new suit, that had to be ready for Eurofurence 2014! In September 2013 I started on Riandro 2.0, that’s almost done at the moment.
And on January the 18th I registred myself and my boyfriend for Eurofurence 20… I never felt so excited before. And this is going to be great, I can feel it!
So far so good.. now here we are, now, on the 26th of January. Registration and payment is done, and the waiting has begun. Waiting for Eurofurence 20…
This is how I got to be a furry, It’s funny to look back on now. And I hope you have enjoyed this story of my life.

And going with my BF, number 741, so... hihi
My new suit, Riandro 2.0 is still work in progress.
But I think it will be finished in march/april.
The deadline is ofcourse the Eurofurence, but it goes all so fast, I think it's finished much sooner.
I really really happy with the result so far.
The quality of the fur (main fur) is a bit better then my old one.
And the quality of the fur on the belly is awesome!!
Also: all the parts are mostly sewn, so no glue mistakes/parts on the fur anymore!!
The sight is not much better, but I don't care.
I have a good/sweet spotter (my BF) who also makes most of the pictures I post right here.
I'm also planning to make a second head (for my new suit), with tooney eyes (plastic eyes), and try to have it done before the EF.

Fursuiting - Riandro 2.0

I few may have seen the pictures I uploaded the past weeks.
I'm currently working on a new fursuit (head). This will be a full suit of Riandro again.
But this time I will try to do my best and create a better fursuit, with better fur, less mistakes and some surprises as well. It really annoys me that the quality of the fur is so bad, and also: this suit is not so comfortable to wear.
I can't see anything, the mohawk on the head hurts my ear, and there are hot-glue mistakes everywhere on the head and body fur.
It also annoys me that I'm not welcome on better meetings. That's the whole problem.
I don't feel comfortable at the meets I go now. But I have no other choice to go there, because the other meetings are only for good looking suits, with better quality and suiters who don't need a spotter who hold their hand the entire walk.
I can't suit without a spotter at the moment. I need his help, assistence and the best part: his eyes. I can't see small children, who want to give me a hand or a hug. I can't see where I walk, so I can stumble over everything.
So time to make a new one!
I hope you guys have some patience, because this means I will not gonna suit 'till the otherone is finished.
Except the Elf Fantasy Fair in Haarzuilen (NL). This will be the very very last time I'm going to suit with Riandro 1.0 (weather depending!).
