Posted 15 years agoJust trying to figure out who needs their artwork by AC. Because of the unexpected 3 research papers I was assigned when I returned from Australia, commissions have been a bit slow, and realistically, I will prooobably not be able to have the entire list finished in 11 days, what with having to do research and typing papers as well.
So, if you could just comment on here if ya need your badge/other art by AC, I'll get to work on that :3 And my apologies for being slow :/ Schoolwork in the summer is just WRONG, lol.

Furry tanlines...
Posted 15 years agoSo, I was discussing this today with Trigger, and I thought I'd share :3 So, when an animal with fur is wearing a bathing suit, their tanlines would be kinda the opposite of normal tanlines. You know, because fur and hair lightens in the sun, and anything covered up by a bathing suit would stay darker...
Just thought that was interesting, and now I kinda want to draw something of this nature, showing the weird tanlines X3

Posted 15 years agoCan't type much b/c I'm on a pay-internet thingy, but today I held the most venomous fish in the world (google the stonefish) and yesterday I got kissed by a roo! X3 I told him I was taken, but he didn't listen.
Bad: I bought this used camera memory card from a supposedly good seller on amazon, and it fucked up. Took pics today and last night, and they erased themselves. Fffffff. Thankfully I have another card, and I already have 150 pics on it.
In other news, I miss my Trigs SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO friggin much. Alrighty then guys, I'm gonna go forage for a beer and sit poolside :3

Posted 15 years agoWell, I won't be in Aussie tomorrow, but that's when I start the trip X3 We will actually be getting there on the 12th because we lose the 11th. This makes me a very sad wolfy because technically I won't EXIST on my foxy's birthday :C
Annnnnyway, I will be gone for approximately 3 weeks, but hopefully will have a couple chances to post some updates and maybe a picture or two (before the inevitable picture dump upon my return, mwahahaha). I wish I knew which places we were actually going to have access to the internet, but oh well, guess I'll have to play it by ear.
So...my adventure begins tomorrow. First time ever out of the country. I've dreamed of this for so long, of being able to have a "journey" into a far away place, with things completely unfamiliar to me. And while we may be in semi-civilized areas most of the time, it's still all new to me :3 Just gotta get past the plane ride part, and I'll be good. Anyway, cross your fingers for me that I don't get bitten by any of the number of venomous snakes, or step on a cone snail, etc etc...lol.
And.....HAPPY EARLY BIRTHDAY TRIGS!!! I<3333333333 you! *snugs you tight*

Posted 15 years agoI was just thinking about groceries I need to get (instead of typing an essay exam) and realized just how much milk I go through. It's prettymuch the best drink ever. Maybe this is why I've never broken a bone. I bet my parents would be proud to know how much milk I buy. X3 Yeah, odd I know, haha. Just felt like sharing to break up the monotony of typing school-related bs for a moment :D

Posted 15 years agoI just needed to vent a little, not out of anger, just frustration. So, my sister is 21 and hasn't spoken to my parents since she was 17. This is for a number of reasons, caused by her immaturity (thinking they were unfair to her as far as curfews and such in high school...even though she had it MUCH easier than I did, haha) and her denial of having OCD, which she very very obviously has, unfortunately. It has broken their hearts that she won't speak to them, but she claims now that her guilt is keeping her from connecting with them. There's more involved, but it's way too much to type. Anyway, in February, she up and moved from NC to Washington state. She did not plan well enough monetarily, and she has had to ask me for money twice now. Well, today she called and had gotten into a car accident. Someone hit her driver side at 60 mph, and thank god she is alright, but now her car is in the shop, and she lives an HOUR away from her place of work. So...she has no way to get to work, and has no money left to even get her car repaired. I have tried to tell her she needs to reach out and speak to our parents because they would be happy to help her, but she is still refusing to do so. I don't have the money to help her because I'm still searching for a job (the semester's student loans are almost gone) and no one seems to be hiring. So in summary, lskdfhslkfhskdjfhjf gahhh I just needed a little outlet. I'll probably feel dumb for posting this and delete it shortly, but that's ok.

Posted 15 years agoI really can't believe I have only a week (basically) before I will be hopping on a (LONG) plane-ride to Australia! I don't much like planes, so idk how well I'm gonna do with being stuck on one for over 24 hours, but I'm sure it'll be well worth it. The trip is almost 3 weeks long, and it counts as 2 biology courses, so of course we have exams and papers to write, but that's ok. I've never been out of the country before, so I'm REALLY excited!!! I will be paying back student loans for the rest of my life, haha.
I wish there was a way I could sneak my onto the plane so he could go too. But anyway, I'll probably take over 9000 pictures, so be prepared for that when I get back. I'll try and limit it to only the best pictures so I don't spam everyone X3. I'm just glad to have a fun biology course for the first time in a while :3
