How is it when you guys visit your parents? Is it boring and blahhh, or do they live in a big city where there's stuff to do? Just bored and curious lol.

On a different note, after seeing different journals and hilarious photos on here from this chat roulette site (from when furs got in suit and messed with people), my roommate and I thought it would be funny to put on ski masks, bandanas, sunglasses, and hats (all at once) and mess with people. It was funny to see a few ppl's "wtf" reactions, but then apparently we pissed people off with our umm "terrorist attire" (I guess ski masks = terrorists now?) So...don't think I'll be going back on there, lol.

Going to visit my parents and friends. Just need a change of pace, as I said in an earlier journal. I plan on trying to meet up with a few furs from the Raleigh area, and some of my old friends. And I'm totally going to draw a fursona for my friend who isn't a furry (yet...but he totally could be lol).

I'd really like to get out of NC before the summer is over, but monetary reasons keep me from doing so :/ I s'pose Sanford/Raleigh will have to do for now, lol.

...here's one of my favorites of all time. I love all the different versions of this song, but I was listening to this one tonight. If you don't recognize it at first, you will around 1:15. I was brought up on this kind of music and I love it.

Went out drinking last night with some of my Aussie-trip brethren and their friends, played some beerpong, walked around downtown a bit. Fun night :3 We are plotting smuggling ourselves back to Australia because we miss it so.

Inception is a movie that instantly sparked my attention when I saw the trailer for it months ago. I have always been very interested in the subconscious during dream states, and similar things. The movie blew me away. I think I would need to see it again to fully grasp some of the smaller details, since my mind was all over the place most of the time with everything going on. But yeah, go see it. NAOWS.

The movie made me remember one of the most horrific moments of my childhood. I actually had a dream within a dream once, well really a nightmare within a nightmare, when I was maybe 6. I dreamt that my parents had been turned into these sinister beings with rotting flesh and their eyes hanging out of their sockets, and they were trying to get into my bedroom, where I was. This was a recurring dream when I was younger, but never failed to absolutely terrify me. Anyway, they shattered the door to my bedroom and their arms shot through, and then I "woke up". I sat up in my bed, looked around my room (which truly felt real, I had no doubt that I had woken up), and decided to go into my parents' room to tell them I'd had a horrible dream. I was shaking, and walked down the hallway to their bedroom. I could feel the carpet under my feet, and could see everything as clear as I would in real life. I walked over to my mom's side of the bed, as I usually did when I had a nightmare, and gently shook her arm. I told her what had happened, and she spoke soothing words to me, and then grabbed me by the neck and lifted me into the air, forcing me to look into their eye-less sockets and bleeding faces.
When I woke up for the third time, I was too shaken and horrified to get out of bed, or even open my eyes, for fear that this was actually another dream. Talk about traumatizing childhood experiences! O_o

Has anyone else ever had a dream within a dream?

In a nutshell...I'm sick of the same shit every day. There is absolutely nobody hiring in Boone, and it's pretty freaking boring up here. I think I'm in need of a change. I may go visit my parents later this week and see if I can find some old friends to hang out with. I know there are a few that I've been in contact with that would love to hang out...maybe they can get me out of this same-shit-different-day funk. One of my old friends is definitely a would-be furry...I should draw him a fursona and see if he'll come over to the dark side...lol.

Just take a few minutes and watch it. The guy is a little annoying in the beginning of the video, but as soon as the select Jaws footage starts...it just keeps getting better and better.

Around 5:30 it actually made me lawl. Ok and then 9:30. Yes it's long, but it's worth it. Or maybe I'm just really bored. Enjoy!

Due to some potentially awful news I got yesterday concerning my graduation (which in turn, could affect everything I have planned for my very near future), I am completely overwhelmed. I've been in school for 6 years, majoring in biology, and I simply cannot handle anymore. I am supposed to have one semester left, but due to some missing credit hours, I don't know what's going to happen. I had planned on moving soon after graduation, and if I can't fix this crap, that plan may be fucked. It may not seem like an ordeal to get upset over, but b/c of all the consequences that may occur because of this, I'm really overwhelmed. First off I would just like to clarify that I like the Twilight Series. A lot. I hated on it non-stop until I actually read the books, and I loved them. So you are of course entitled to you opinions on the series, but that isn't what this journal is about, so please do not comment here about disliking the series. :3

I was afraid of this. (*SPOILERS*) Idk if this is all true, but supposedly the director has been quoted as saying that the scene where Edward must give bite open her abdomen and then womb with his teeth (to get the infant that is killing her out) will not be in the movie. :/ That sucks, but I guess that must be expected with its pg-13 rating. And also it's directed by an oscar-winning guy (Billy Condon), so he may think it wouldn't be "classy".

Now the question is: will they still have the semi-sex scenes? In the book it does not really go into any detail, but it still describes the 'foreplay' and the aftermath. I hope they will at least include that...I mean, those passionate sections of the book were a very big part of it.

tl;dr: nope, you have to read it. >:3
Ok enough rant. I just hope the director does the book justice. At least they're making it into 2 installments, which means that hopefully things will not be left out.

I have this perfect idea in my head for a drawing and it will NOT, for the life of me, come out on paper how I want it to. This is why I need more anthro practice with more than one character interacting. In interesting positions. Gahhhhhhhh O_o

So...my trip to AC is still on, but it has ended up being a -bit- more expensive than I had originally planned for. If anyone would like to hop on the old commission list, I can probably do a few more badges in time for AC, or I can just get you on there for a future project :3 I'm just trying to make a little more money so I don't have to get stressed about food money while I'm there.
