Teeny little stress-rant journal...lol
Posted 15 years agoJust need to do a quick stress-vomit-in-journal-form, lol. This is NOT meant to be a "pity-me" journal, it kinda helps to actually write it all out sometimes, ya know?
School: So...my classes are incredibly hard this semester, and I have to get a decent grade in a couple of them in order to graduate in December. The others I just need to pass. So yeah, school is sucking the life out of me because it is now coming down to writing big papers, doing presentations, and lots of important exams. If I don't graduate, well...I'd be in some deep shit.
Moving/finding a job: I am moving to Florida after graduation, but I don't know how soon, because that all depends on me finding a job that will hire me prior to moving (so that I know I have a guaranteed job once I'm there). Ideally, it was going to be literally -right- after graduation, so that I wouldn't have to move all of my stuff back to my parents' house and THEN move it all to Florida, but now it seems like I may have to do that :/
Money stuff: And then there's the apartment stuff that some of you may remember from a somewhat recent journal. That shit is still looming over me, and I'm still trying to figure out a way to get out of paying over $200 that I do NOT owe the landlord.
ETC: And then there are the little things that I know aren't that important, but they still get under my skin. Like FC...I really, really want to go. But that probably will not happen unless I somehow get a shit-ton of commissions in the next couple of months to pay for it (after calculating prices on airline tickets, hotel costs, food etc it would be over $700 most likely). I really want to go because Trigger is probably going, and my fursuit may be ready by then, annnnd because it is Australia themed (and after my recent trip to Australia, I would love to be part of this theme). But yeah, if I am moving at that point, that's going to take a lot of money so that would complicate things :< Is it stupid that I'm letting this bother me, on top of other things like graduating and finding a job and moving?
I think I need to find a way to make these stressful things more manageable. Not really sure how to right now.
TL;DR: STRESSSSSSSS. SOMEONE GIVE ME A COOKIE.

Sketchbook question...
Posted 15 years agoWhere do you find those hard-bound sketchbooks that have completely blank covers (usually brownish in color)? I've seen so many people with these and I'd really like to find some so that I can actually personalize the cover with my own art. So far the only sketchbooks I've ever found are ones with the brand name all over the front, or hard-bound ones with a surface that can't be drawn on.
IT'S A MYSTERY.

Tribble Icon idea
Posted 15 years agoSo I have a lot of fun drawing these quick mutated tribble things for people: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4697740/ , http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4566966/
Maybe next time I do a stream I'll offer these for like $1-2 (I'd do them like Asiri's better-quality one lol) if anyone is interested...and if not I'll just draw my usual weird random shit lol. We could have a whole TRIBBLE ICON ARMY! Think of it...YOU could be part of the tribble army.
This is probably a retarded idea, but I figured I'd stick it out there to see if anyone would be interested ;) If enough people get them, I can put them all together in a big tribble army picture :D

Paranormal Activitaaaaaay
Posted 15 years agoYeahhhhhhh so it made me yell twice in the theater. Went with
,
,
, and
. Definitely glad I saw it; I like stuff that scares me lol. I think that's actually the first time I've screamed/yelled in a movie X3 It's not because it's terrifying, it's just all the jumpy shit lol.
Of course there were a ton of people talking behind us, and a drunken mom and her daughter right beside me, but even with that, the movie was still creepy. And yes, when I saw the previews I was like "Really? They're going to try to pull off a second one?" But since the first one almost made me pee myself I figured this w=one would be fun too :) And it was. Go see it.
Boogity boogity.

Posted 15 years agoIn the library...one more exam to go. Tomorrow by this time I should be in Floreeeeeda. Not looking forward to the plane-ride though...I hate planes. I spent enough time on planes to last a lifetime when I went to Australia X3 This is a little different though...I haven't flown alone since I was a lot younger, and I tend to get panicky on planes :< At least it's only like an hour and 45 minute ride.
I need to remember to bring summer-ish clothes, since right now it's 25 degrees warmer there than it is here, haha. Annnyway enough procrastination; back to studying.
Also funny: nearly my entire bag that I'm going to check is filled with fur and like a couple sewing supplies. Nothing else would fit, so I'm going to try to put everything else in my carry-on bags. I'll have to figure out a way to fit things like shampoo type stuff in my big bag though b/c of the liquid amount limit for carry-on...this will be fun to figure out when I get home today. Annnnnd then I get to drive to Charlotte tonight. Then plane in the a.m.
Ok fo' reals this time, back to studying. <.< >.>
End of boring journal :)

The Company of Wolves (spoilers)
Posted 15 years agoI saw this a long time ago, and have just always been in love with the ending. You really have to watch the whole movie to understand the gist of it, but it's prettymuch a very, very dark version of Red Riding Hood. Here is the description used on one of the youtube videos:
"The story unfolds as young Rosaleen lies dreaming in her bed. A violent nightmare transports her back in time to a world of primeval forests and werewolves. In this netherworld she learns her only sister has been killed by a wolf. Her Granny (Angela Lansbury) weaves vivid tales of folklore and fantasy with warnings of fantastic beasts that lurk within men and foretelling the fate of all young girls who stray from the path.
"The Company of Wolves" is a unique excursion into horror--bathed in sensual imagery, punctuated with nightmarish special effects, and destined to become a modern cult classic."
The ending is when Rosaleen decides to "stray from the path" and in turn meets a man (wolf) whom she connects with, and she is then also transformed into a wolf. This video picks up where her family is searching for her, the male wolf runs, and the mother of Rosaleen recognizes her even in her wolf form. The part that always gives me chills is when Rosaleen runs away with the male wolf, and it shifts back into a little girl's nightmare. Idk, the whole dark, haunting atmosphere of this movie just sucked me in...one of those movies where you look up after it's over and go "Oh, wow, back to reality." Such a unique ending. So, if you haven't ever seen it...WATCH IT. It's so worth it. Btw, same director that later did Interview with a Vampire.

Music video that really caught my eye
Posted 15 years agoFirst off, I think this video is open for self-interpretation. I just stumbled across this while surfing youtube, and I'm not quite sure if the song is really my style, but it's the video that caught my attention. Watch it all the way through, and I'd like to hear what you guys think the story is...
Also, I'd really like to know the lyrics to this but can;t seem to find them ANYWHERE, so if anyone knows them or can find them, I'd appreciate it if you could tell me :)

Can I haz...
Posted 15 years agoI would really like a calzone with pepperoni, mozzarella, and feta cheese. And some crab rangoon. And some sushi. Mmmm Italian, Chinese, and raw fish...could be the perfect meal. *drools and wishes these things would appear magically*

Woooo weekend starts NOW
Posted 15 years agoWhere will tonight's journeys take me? Not sure, but probably eventually back here to do a livestream X3 My roommate and I are going to walk down the road in an hour or so and get a few drinks, and then hopefully find something fun to do. Annnnd if I can find out who's tailgating tomorrow for ASU's homecoming game, I'm gonna go do that too :D Determined to have a fun weekend!

One of the best Disney songs EVER :D
Posted 15 years agoI used to have the soundtrack to this on a cassette tape, and I played the hell out of this song (probably really annoyed my parents too lol). Still one of my favorite Disney songs. They cast Billy Joel perfectly as Dodger. Now I just need to dig out the old VHS I have of this...
Something that would be really nice
Posted 15 years agoTo just relax together with my fox and watch the sun set and the stars come out. I'm sure we can make that happen when I get to visit him in a couple weeks :)
Legend of the Guardians in a few hours :D
Posted 15 years agoI've been so excited about seeing this movie, and I'm going to Charlotte today to meet up with some awesome people to watch it :) Can't wait! Especially after working with owls for a few months and getting to know the different species, this will be fun to see. Only thing I wonder is...will they make the owls' eyes move in the movie? Because irl owls cannot move their eyeballs lol, which is why they can turn their necks so far. It'll be interesting to see how realistic they are with that, but I won't think any less of them if that's not true to life, because I mean owls wearing armor isn't exactly true to life either XD
Excited! ^^

3 commission slots open
Posted 15 years agoI have 3 open slots for commissions. I was going to open 8, but I had a few friends contact me a while back about being on the list, so 4-5 of those slots are already taken. I just want to take on a smaller number than I did last time, and once the new ones are finished, I'll open up for more :)
Please note: Sometimes I work quickly, sometimes I do not. It really depends on my schoolwork right now, but I'll try to have them done in a timely fashion :)
