> 500 watchers & What I've been doing & Commissions & Bsk...
Posted 7 months agoWelp. A while ago I passed 500 watchers. Now that didn't feel all *too* real to me, given how long I've had this account with a very slow growth of that number, and the fact that a whole bunch of them no longer use this site and several unfortunately are no longer with us at all. But while maybe it doesn't really represent 500, it still does represent a lot of folks interested in my work, so it's time to acknowledge it anyway with my second *ever* journal ^^
So thank you all for giving me a watch these past years. I hope my content still manages to catch your interest on occasion <3
I've been pretty quiet with posting this past year, mostly because I've been grinding hard on *finally* following proper art tutorials and advice instead of just screwing around on my tablet as I've been doing for about nine years. Add to that several repetitive strain injuries from drawing and writing too much and suddenly it had been almost a year since I've even fully drawn something of my own. But more art and/or writing should hopefully be coming soon as I'm slowly getting a new art process down. I'm satisfied with my progress and I hope you will be too ^^
About commissions: This past year I've been asked about writing commissions several times, so I might as well put something here: I've not been able to write much at all given my crunch down on art, and for the same reason I don't really have time to do writing commissions, as they eat a lot more time that one would expect. The 10$/1000 words I charge isn't very much worth giving up time from my art progress in my opinion, and I don't want to raise my price because honestly what I see some people charge here for the quality they deliver is criminal. I'd prefer to stay accessible to a broader group of people besides just wealthy ones. (Furry smut is one of the basic living needs, right?)
So I don't expect to be doing much in the way of commissions for the foreseeable future. And even then, the couple of people that have inquired will have priority if and when I do open (if I like their ideas enough). Should I open for them I'll let it know here, along with a TOS!
And finally: Like everyone else I've decided to open up a Bluesky account. Mainly because of the whole 'don't put all your eggs in one basket' thing in case something happens to FA. Whatever art I post here I will start posting there soon-ish and vice versa. But on the Bluesky account I might also post some of the IRL shiny variety stuff because I think my gear looks too good for it to remain unseen <3
