Officially starting my book
General | Posted 15 years agoWell, since I'm currently stuck out of work due to seizures, UTIs, and kidney stones, I might as well be productive and begin writing my book. Status updates will be given periodically. Hopefully it'll be published and make me famous.....possible, but not likely lol
Ouch......
General | Posted 15 years agoJust got home from the emergency room. Apparently I had a kidney stone 4mm in diameter. I didn't realize anything on this earth could hurt so much. I'm not even through yet, the pain I felt was from it exiting the kidney. I still have the rest of my urinary tract left for the little thing to travel through. The pain's gone now, and I'm high as hell on morphine...I wonder if there's a connection.
Star Wars made me lawl...
General | Posted 16 years agoHan Solo: "Sweetheart, Lando, I hate to ask-"
Leia Solo: "Yes, we'll go shoot down the bad furry people for you."
The brain pictures I got from this quote will make me lol for weeks to come

Waving the white flag...
General | Posted 16 years agoWell I'm officially stopping school after this semester. The effects that trying to work full time and go to school full time have had on my body have been unpleasant to say the least. I've been sick more times in the past nine months than I'd been for 3 years previously. I enjoy school and really wish I can stay, and mentally I'm doing great, but physically I can feel my body burning out. Until I take care of my current financial obligations, I can't quit my job, that means school's out. I may consider trying to get back in the Navy. Paying off my car and getting out of the service would coincide very nicely...I guess I'll have to wait and see how this whole "Don't ask, don't tell" removal plays out. Any other input, like how to make $10,000 legally in a hurry would be appreciated lol.
Sigh of relief
General | Posted 16 years agoSome things in my life have finally come together. I'm past crisis point right now and I feel like I can breathe for the first time in months. My account is open again, and I'm gonna start working on my stories for the first time in forever. Don't expect anything fast though, I do still have college and work lol. I also want to apologize to everybody I've been a dick to over the past couple of months. If you're no longer speaking to me, I don't blame you. If you are, a heartfelt thanks for bearing with me. I'm gonna delete my last few journals since they have nothing but negativity in them.
I is gonna die...
General | Posted 16 years agoThis swine flu shit is trying its best to kill me...I feel like I got hit by a steamroller. Pigs are now my least favorite animal. They need to be exterminated, the hell with ham and bacon. If you see anyone who looks sick, I have one piece of advice...RUN
*Vexed sigh*
General | Posted 16 years agoI'm about to lose my mind here. I very much want to specialize in herpetology, but looking across the interwebs, I'm noticing that all jobs in that field bring home about the same level of income that I'm making now. Getting a PhD to earn entry-level pay goes so far beyond insulting that it can't be placed into words.
Option 2 is law. Law's always intrigued me, but it involves direct involvement in the exact type of moral dilemmas and drama that I try my hardest to avoid. Aside from that, my analytical and psychological skills can team up to turn me into a kick-ass lawyer, and I'd probably not hate the job. Oh, and it pays out the ass.
Option 3 is Microbiology. I'm good at it, I enjoy it, and if I rise to the level of researcher, I'll be considered one of the academic elite of the world with at least a six-figure salary. The only downside is that I won't be able to work with animals, which is my passion beyond all passions.
Option 4 is the perfect, ideal option. Therefor it's practically unattainable. It involves me going for a dual-major in microbiology and herpetology. Herpetology will allow me to attain permits to own, breed, and care for large numbers of reptiles and amphibians, including exotics and dangerous species. Microbiology will allow me to earn the money to maintain said beasties and the prestige that everybody I know seems to think I'm destined for. The danger: going for a dual PhD while at the same time maintaining a full-time job runs the very real risk of me burning out and retiring when I graduate college.
I'm honestly at a complete loss here. Any advice would be deeply appreciated. (Don't advise me to try to mix law with any of the other majors. The variation in coursework would make it almost impossible to pull off in less than 20 years)

My life is officially on hold for the next 10-12 years...
General | Posted 16 years agoIn addition to my full-time job, I am now a full-time student. Between work, school, and sleep, my personal time is down to like 5-6 hours per week. This will probably be reduced once the homework picks up. So yeah, expect white dragon sightings to go WAAAAY down for the next.....however long my PhD takes O_o.
Think I'm gonna write a book....
General | Posted 16 years agoJust for shits and giggles, I think I'm gonna write a book to see if I can get it published. Don't really want fame and glory, I just wanna see a book by me on a shelf in Borders...for the lulz mostly. Just wondering what to write it about...can't be overtly furry, yiff tends to make the hyoomuns go "Eeeek." Meh, still thinking about it. In this day and age, writing a book is like making a movie. I can either try to be original, and think of something that isn't a cliche, or I can go with the flow and write another teenie bopper vampire book, wizard story, or some other "been there, done that" type of BS. Anyone with food for my thoughts, please post.
P.S. All stories are still under construction...meaning I'm lost, confused, alone, and blindly searching in my brain for good writings.

Saved by new hobbies.
General | Posted 16 years agoBetween Guitar Hero, my real guitar, and the other XBOX 360 games I bought, I should be very happy. I'd been having boredom problems ever since I quit WoW. Instead of playing Warcrack, I'd picked up my old habit of digesting books a mile a minute. I'd already burned through $50 in ebooks by the time a month had gone by, and I showed no sign of slowing down. Anyone who's known me for a while can tell you that I can finish a 700 page book in less than a day. Thankfully, all these new toys I have are distracting me, and therefor saving me a ton of money. It's kinda scary to think that I read enough to find spending over $400 on video games a savings, but it's true. Now that that's off my chest, I'm off to bed.
Holy crap, I won...
General | Posted 16 years agoI was at Six Flags today, and I spent $5 at the ring toss game. Wound up winning a brand new electric guitar. I'm still in a little bit of shock from my good fortune. Just need to learn how to play the damn thing now, lol.
Working again.
General | Posted 16 years agoWell the mission for a new computer has been aborted, so I'm now working on my stories again. Hopefully my hard drive won't have a catastrophic bowel movement costing me all of my work like it did before
All Done
General | Posted 16 years agoHair's been done, New clothing has been bought, and PSP is not working right. That is all
Change of plans...
General | Posted 16 years agoI'm getting shoes tomorrow. I'm sick of smelling like a river barge. Also, my hair is getting done tomorrow probably. Might push the computer back by one paycheck, but I'm enjoying the break from gaming
Update on life
General | Posted 16 years agoLet's try this again withOUT hitting enter with just a title up.
Topic 1: Computer
Obviously, I got my pile working again. I'm holding off on any new stories for a few weeks. The reason being that I'm purchasing a brand new, state of the art gaming laptop soon. I'm $800 out of $1,200 so far. 20 hours of overtime on my net paycheck will pretty much seal the deal. Writing will resume when my computer doesn't suck ass.
Topic 2: Career
I just got my shift bid, which is good. It was my 11th choice out of 13, which is less good. In retaliation against my supervisor, I applied for a job in the technical division. The downside: climbing poles in any/all weather, going inside peoples' raunchy houses, and a longer way to work. The upside: $4 more each hour, a company vehicle, and removing myself from my team in the call center. It's petty and vindictive, but since I'm the only one on my team who is in the top 20%, it'll be a painful way of showing my displeasure with the shift bid.
Topic 3: Clothing and hair
After my computer, my next major project is my hair and wardrobe. Complete makeover in both areas. I'm gonna go completely crazy on the clothes, and completely....less conservative on the hair. I'm really liking my unlimited capacity for overtime. Large amounts of money is very fun to have.
That's about it for now. I'll consider gracing you with pics of my new hair and wardrobe, but don't hold your breath LAWL.

All gone...
General | Posted 16 years agoJust had to completely reformat my hard drive and reload my entire OS. As a result, all of my saved data, including stories and notes for stories, are gone. As of now, I'm starting again from scratch. Sorry for the extended wait.
Still working
General | Posted 16 years agoI'm still plugging away at my story, as well as organizing plots and sequences of events for requests. I was delayed a bit by doing both at once and getting some cross-contamination in my head, so to speak. Anyways, be assured I'm being as diligent as I can. Comcast is stealing my soul 40 hours a week though, so when I finally get home, my motivation isn't the strongest. Regardless, I expect my next chapter to be out soon.
Another one!!!
General | Posted 17 years ago3 journals, 2 submissions, and a part....fuck, too cliche. Anyways, I'm starting on chapter 4 of my story. I pray it'll be out faster than the two I posted tonight. It's the first one where the plot will shift into second gear though, so I have to do it right. Also, there are times when I tire of my story and look for something else to work on. So I'm open to requests and trades for some literary wonderment. Always willing to write about stuff XD.
Here's what I need from anyone who wants me to write about them: as much as you can give me. The more detailed you are in any sort of outline you give me, the closer the story will be to what you probably have in your mind. I can also work with just vague descriptions and ideas, but it will be up to me to manufacture details, and nobody knows where that will lead. The only things that are mandatory are a description of your fursona, and an insight of your personality. Don't wanna portray any of you subs out there as big, dominant control freaks, or vice-versa.
So let any and all requests come in. I'd be thrilled if an artist came along for an art trade, but I'm fine working free for now. *Bows to the crickets, gets off the soap box, and walks away*

Not on my story...
General | Posted 17 years agoLife update, and putting the story out of my mind for now....maybe that will make me stop thinking of "improvements" for it....Anywho, tomorrow, I'm going to visit the Navy recruiter for the first time in months. The day where my injury is considered "healed" is drawing near and I have some love handles that I need to handle, pardon the sad pun. Other than that, I'm still working at Comcast. Too much longer there and I'll be able to teach college courses on why humans require extinction.
Also, I'm trying to think of something new to do with my hair. I figure I might as well have fun with it before they mow it off in Boot Camp...again. Any suggestions are welcome. Well, not my mate's. If you could see his head right now, you'd know why. Nothing but love honey, and I'm only putting you on blast like this because this is only gonna be seen by like 6 people.
Well, that's about it for my life at the moment, such as it is. I'd say stay tuned for more updates, but as anyone over 15 knows, life is like Windows: Always updating, never changing.

OMG
General | Posted 17 years agoSomeone needs to come smack me out of this freaky perfectionist attitude I've been in for the past month. If I edit this story one more time, it's gonna die of abuse. I can probably take all of the deleted and changed content and arrange the words into another full-length story. I'm not gonna say it'll be here soon, because as soon as I'm about to post it, some other poor paragraph is going to catch my eye and be made over more times than Goldie Hawn, but it's getting to a point where there's not much else I can do to it. So it will be out some time between now and when the cows come home.....Now I just need to obtain some cows O_o
Soon
General | Posted 17 years agoChapters 2 and 3 will probably be out by week's end. It was originally just chapter 2, but the length of it staggered even me. After my final proofreading is complete, they will be posted
Just a quick update...
General | Posted 17 years agoWorking on chapter 2 of my story, just have a little writer's block. I know the storyline, I just can't figure out names for the characters. I suck at naming things, be it cities, species, people, animals. Maybe I should just continue and use <placeholder> until I figure out names....
300 journals skipped
