Well, the seizures I've been having finally seem to be resolved, and the Navy will now take me back with a waiver...so back I go to play boot camp again. I'm planning on leaving sometime in May-June of '12. Between now and then, I'll be completing my Associates degree, so I'll at least have something to fall back on. I don't think it'll be necessary since I now know exactly what to expect in boot camp and where I need to be physically. Updates will be posted as they come.

Just got out of the hospital. Another fucking kidney stone along with a pretty large urinary tract infection. The only saving grace is that the stone passed this time, so no getting a laser shoved up my dick to blast it.

Just got myself a new 37 inch HD TV. Much bigger and better than my old 22 inch tube TV.

TV: My television, which is likely older than I am, finally shit the bed. The coax input on it just died. I can still use it, but I need to use the A/V jack, meaning I play a game of wire fishing every time I want to go from TV to xbox or vice versa.

College: Financial Aid is approved for $6,500 for the 2011 - 2012 school year. This is enough to fund college and give me about $600 extra each semester. Finally back to school *cheers and dances*

Taxes: Did my tax returns yesterday, and my haul will be $1600, which is not bad at all. This will give me funding to fix my brake on my car, buy a newer, larger TV, and still have money left over for other as yet undetermined activities. (edit) laptop is one such "undetermined activity"


Other shit: Only 9.5 weeks until I move to a part-time schedule at work. More me time, less "I hate my job" time. Also, I have applied to be on Who Wants to be a Millionaire. Wish me luck in my endeavor to be rich, or at least win enough for some breathing room. Finally, I am studying up on my math so I can try to exempt out of a few courses at school. Don't wish me luck with that, wish me the perseverance and focus to do so.

I want to get a tattoo, and have for a while now. I'm just EXTREMELY hesitant in regards to getting it done. The whole pain thing aside, this is something that will be engraved on my body forever and I don't want to get anything that doesn't look good. Therefor, I want to find an artist who's good at making tattoo-style art.  Tojo-the-Thief and  Narse are incredible artists, but not in that way. If anyone knows of an artist who is good at that sort of thing, please tell me.

I'm almost through with my project list, and my remaining 2 stories should be done very soon. Once they're finished, I kinda want to write some clean stories. I seem to have fallen into the smut trap and that's mostly what I've been writing. I want to get my creative juices flowing again and write something that actually has a plot and storyline beyond setting a background for fucking. I just want some ideas and suggestions for what people would like to see. This isn't like taking requests. The ideas need to be broad to allow me the freedom to do what I do. If anyone has anything that they might like to see me write about, maybe turn into a series, tell me and I'll take it into consideration.

@ all the people I used to talk to on Skype (you know who you are) where the hell are you? Was there like a mass extinction on my friends list? There are still some people who I know are fine and talk to regularly, but others are beginning to worry me with their lack of....existence. Found an old space heater capable of turning my room into a blast furnace in 15 minutes. No longer freezing danger, although spontaneous combustion is now a risk.

It's 5:21 am in Massachusetts in the winter and my bedroom heater isn't working. The damn thing is cold...along with my whole room. Just spent 45 minutes in our freezing assed basement messing with fuses, which I'm hoping will work. I'm mostly worried for my snakes' safety, and I'm hoping their heating pads are sufficient to keep them warm until this issue is fixed. So yeah, cold and grumpy

First off, this journal pertains to those who see themselves as my friends or have an interest in becoming my friend. If you don't fall into those categories, you may not care to read the rest of this journal.

First, I'd like to apologize for having fallen off the face of the earth these past few weeks. Various financial, medical, and emotional issues all rose up to make me very antisocial for a while. I'm fairly certain I'm past all that though, and I will begin to appear online more often. Please contact me via skype if you want to talk, since I almost never use MSN, AIM, or YIM any more.

Second, for the people who have been patiently waiting for gifts and trades, I now feel mentally stable enough to continue work. I'm actually going too take a few days off, hopefully in January, to complete these projects and maybe get some tablet practice in. Dates will be given once I can determine which days I'll be taking off.

Third, being that I still have an erratic sleep schedule and 3:30-12:00 shift at work, some people may not see me online still. This will all change come April 17th, when I will be taking up a part-time schedule at work to better facilitate my return to school. My schedule will then be 5:00-9:00, not sure what days yet. Since the annual shift bid is in April, and school starts in September, that means I'm gonna have an assload of time on my hands from April 17th until just after Labor Day. I will be online either writing, doodling, chatting, or playing games quite a bit in that period.

Finally, I just want to thank everyone who's stuck with me through all this crap. Medically, I'm not out of the woods yet, but I'm at least on a path and not wandering aimlessly. Financially, things are looking up, and mentally, I'm at a calm point where the stress is just about gone. I couldn't have done it without all of my friends, and I love you all.

I'm so fucking sick of doctors. It seems like I get a different answer every single time I see one. Yesterday, I saw an ENT about my constant ear infections, and he says he thinks I'm just having jaw pain. Also had him test my hearing, and he said it was fine. I caught a whiff of bullshit, so I go see an audiologist for a second opinion and, what do you know, I failed the hearing test big time. It wasn't a small margin of error either. The difference was 20 decibels...pretty much the difference between "the low end of normal" and "moderate hearing loss requiring hearing devices for correction." And the audiology place is run by my family, so I know they aren't trying to make a profit off me. That isn't my only beef though. I've been having seizures for over 10 years now, and I've seen multiple neurologists and neurosurgeons about what the cause could be. I've gotten at least 5 different answers. Everything from epilepsy to "you're imagining it." If anyone knows a doctor that has something like, oh I dunno, a brain...or common sense, please tell me so that I might be able to get some fucking help with these issues.

My honest opinion on the cub porn ban is actually pretty negative. The way I see it, no children or animals were harmed in the making of said porn, so what's the problem? Also, pedophilia is not a choice. Just like phobias, various psychological attractions (philias) are caused by as yet undetermined psychological factors for which there is no real cure except rigid discipline and self control. The way I see it, things like cub porn and shotacon offer an alternate source of relief for pedophiles (for whom I feel more sympathy than revulsion or contempt) than actual child porn. Putting it metaphorically, cub porn is similar to methadone, and actual child porn is like heroine. One is definitely more benign, and is far desirable to the alternative. I understand why Dragoneer had to make this choice, and I don't blame him. I just think it's kind of sad that people in society are incapable of making the same simple deductions that I have.

I was in the process of writing 2 stories. About half done with one and 1/3 with the other. Think I'd do anything intelligent like save them every so often? No, of course not. So my computer blue screens out and I lose everything. A testament to my own stupidity. Either way, apologies to  Narse and  Nerian The good news is that I have an incredibly good memory, so it will just be the tedious task of retyping that I have to deal with, not starting over.

Well, now rather than being clear, things are all confused. I have one counselor at another school saying they won't take my credits and I need my degree first, and one counselor who says yes, come on down. Currently getting a third opinion. Best 2/3 will win. Also, my job is being very tight-lipped as to whether I'm getting the promotion or not. The position starts on 11/28...I can know nao pleez?

There are some bits of news that are wholly good though. First, I've had one of my sparks of inspiration and will probably manage to get a few stories out before lethargy sets in again. Second, no car insurance payments this or next month, meaning I actually have some monetary breathing room. Third and finally, I think I've actually managed to deal the killing blow to this annoying little whack-a-mole that insists on popping up in my life. I hope I don't see it again, but they're resilient bastards, so I'm keeping my mallet handy.

Uncle Sam, in his infinite wisdom, has decided to take his big red, white, and blue dick and fuck my life yet again. My financial aid for spring semester at school got denied, meaning I have to wait until next year to finish my degree. Also, my broken laptop will cost $400 to repair, so I'm just gonna abandon it. This is only slightly displaced by the fact that I'm probably gonna get a promotion and raise at work. More money and better hours, ya fucking hoo. Unfortunately, you can't buy happiness, only distraction. So I shall continue to work and wait. Maybe, if I'm lucky, I'll graduate medical school before retirement age.

FF turned out to be a blast. I had more fun there than I've had in a long LONG time. Friday was a bit dull because I was still shy and not much was going on, but Saturday and Sunday more than made up for it. Saturday was a lot of fun, but Sunday was just amazing. Met a lot of friends there and I can't wait to see them again.

I got it at about 5pm. Still teaching myself how to use it, but I'm pleasantly surprised at how fast I'm picking it up. I'm sure there's a plateau in the near future...if it was this easy, everyone would be doing it, but while it lasts, I'm enjoying the progress I'm making.

I have a bamboo tablet on the way. It'll give me a chance to draw without erasing...and erasing...and erasing...and erasing...and erasing. Undo will be so much easier. I'll also be able to color without the hassle of needing hundreds of multicolored implements. Anyways, once I get the hang of the thing, there may be some shitty crapwork being posted by me. Maybe not, depends on how bad I am.
