Just a little heads-up so you don't think I'm removing images if you have set your filters to only display "General"-rated pics.

Very short: For the future, I'll set the rating of images showing male nude chests with nipples to "mature" the same way I do it for boobs on websites that require this for boobs. So, if a piece suddenly seems gone, maybe it's just rated "mature" now.



Explanation: Not only am I a big supporter of non-sexual nudity in real life, I'm thus also a supporter of equal treatment of "male" and "female" nude chests. You know, stuff like people with boobs being allowed to go swimming and sun-bathing topless like those without.
I consider the sentiment of society seeing uncovered boobs as inherently sexual a problem we should overcome in the future. (same with nudity in general)
Thus I want to treat boobed and non-boobed chests equally from now on and thus I will set all chests with any visible nipples to "mature" on all sites that demand this from boobs.

So, yeah, that's it. This should only really matter for...one pic or some, and one other I'll edit as preview, as most of my gallery is just clearly porn. :-D
But still!

Important: This is NOT a complaint or anything against Fur Affinity! I can understand that sites often have to do this either for law-reasons or because it's what people's assumptions expect from them! This is something that needs to be fixed in society first, I have no problem with FA's decision in particular here and I have no problems with their moderation (in this regard^^)! 😘

More Furry artists are being paid by Lovense, the big sex toy maker, to make porn including their products.

I'm, like the last time, on the fence what to think about it.

Positive:
- Companies that officially don't have a problem with porn and Furry porn specifically is nice, especially considering payment providers are assholes when it comes to porn
- Artists get money they deserve
- Sex toys are cool 😁

But also negatives:

- Big for-profit companies getting into the fandom (I thought our motto was "become unmarkatable". 😁)
- As with all sponsorships: are the products even good? Do artists care about that and the values of the company behind it?

And some thoughts:

- IF for-profit company means bad, would it be better if a "Furry company" like Bad Dragon would do it? Where to draw the line? SHOULD one draw a line?

- I personally think if you accept a sponsorship, no matter if Furry, YouTuber, etc., you are kinda in a situation where you owe it to your fans not to promote junk or abusive companies, to "vet" them in some way and at least not to lie.
I don't know much about Lovense specifically, maybe they're all okay?

So, yeah...I don't know. It feels...icky, but maybe just because I'm just not used to big companies NOT being shitty, so, maybe I'm overly cautious and the situation is cool. 🤔

Okay, many already said this, but I want to chime in and share your anger!

Gumroad banning "sexually explicit" content is fucked up and once again it's, most likely, the fault of the big few payment providers.

These people are so ridiculous and disappointing.

I hate it and it really angers me how we're all so dependent on such powerful assholes who can so easily dictate their views.

We need our own payment provider "with blackjack and hookers"! 😡

Seriously, so many things can be self-hosted or have independent, decentralized open-source alternatives now.

We need that for money/payment.
Maybe we should in the end go for a less fucked-up cryptocurrency? But of course those also have problems and, for valid reasons, not the best reputation.

But it seems just having our own sales websites isn't enough if we still have to rely on the same three or so companies. 😡😮‍💨

(More reason not to abandon cash in general, but of course that won't help us with online transactions.)

All I experimented with a bit is doing subtitles/captions for videos and, well, I speak German natively and English kinda fine-ish? So, I could translate stuff.

So, if you want subtitles (English or German translation) for porn animations (by you or someone else) that kinda fit into the themes of my favourites (no extreme fetishes, female characters involved) or something, or think your (short) comic/art piece with dialogue would benefit of a German translation, I might be into that as long as it's silly, sexy fun. 😁

So, Twitter is becoming worse every week and everyone that finally decides to leave, or at least spread out, has the choice to join:

Mastodon (or, the Fediverse in general): A place hosted and maintained by furries, nerds, geeks, environmentalists, trans cat-girls, people with social views and without the intention of financial gain.

Bluesky: Another platform similar to Twitter, created by billionaires, including the one that created and sold Twitter, which will need some way of earning money because it's not run by non-profits.


And all the journals I read are "hey, I'm at Bluesky now!" and "anyone got a Bluesky invite?"?!

Seriously?! You choose the billionaire instead of the trans- and LGBT-friendly furry nerds?!

I CAN undertake artists that stay on Twitter because their business is there and they need the money, even though I think the place should really be losing its appeal by now.

But when you finally decided to "start over", you then go to the next, most likely becoming for-profit in the future, company-site?

I really don't get it. 😭

The only thing that made Mastodon more complicated back then was finding a fitting instance. But that's basically close to finding a fitting e-mail provider.

And by now we have many big and proven furry instances like meow.social, yiff.life, etc.

Ah well, I guess I'm just ranting.
But also sincerely pleading: IF you want a "new Twitter", join us open-source, non-profit nerds in a network that promotes stuff like reliable moderation, content warnings and alt-text for inclusion!
