He's home from the hospital, still a little out of it but he's past the crisis point, I think. Taking it easy for now -- which is hard for my mom, especially, because she desperately wants to fuss over him but doesn't want to get him overexcited.

I don't usually do the call-for-prayers/good vibes thing, but if you could spare a minute... Buddy (my family's golden retriever) has been dealing with epilepsy since Easter. He's had 6 seizures in the last 18 hours, and is in the K9 hospital under monitoring.

He's... he's my cousin, guys. Any goodness you can send out into the universe for him, my aunt, and my mom would really be appreciated.

Sculpture made of insect and animal parts, forming creatures so unlike anything I've seen that - well, frankly I feel a little lightheaded.

Here's an odd thought: would anyone out there be interested in a hand-embroidered (and/or felt) badge? I'm pretty sure no one else is doing that, but maybe it's for a good reason...

It's always satisfying to sign off on a work in progress. Not sure what I'm going to do for the next vinyl toy custom, though. Kidrobot's new Foomi is pretty adorable. Or maybe I'll try a different brand... MadLs are fun, and Joe Ledbetter's toy designs have some pleasant shapes. But playing around with such expensive toys is a considerable luxury.

For now, it's back to wool roving and my needle felting tools. I think you're going to like this next one.
