Posted 12 years ago Had a little disagreement with a patch of sand coming down a steep, dirt jungle road a little while ago. My bike is a bit scratched up (looking more like the average bike around here =p) and the handlebars need to be re-aligned to the front wheel but otherwise it just got all dusty. I landed on my chin so my head is fine but I'm gonna have to grow a new set of knuckles on my right hand, some knee skin and of course a new chin covering. All in all it wouldn't have been too bad if just this little hook on the backend that you are supposed to use for bungies hadn't slid into my tennis shoe and the bike fallen on that ankle. I was trapped under the bike....dammit! I tried every way I could to lift it off myself but couldn't without really hurting my ankle worse, so I tried to untie my shoe to remove it. Couldn't do that either. So naturally I had to lie there in the middle of the road and wait for someone to run over help me. Pretty soon a couple of guys in a truck came and lifted it off me, offered to ride it home for me and give me a lift in their truck and gave me a kleenex for the blood. I declined the ride, thanked them and in bout ten minutes when the adrenaline shakes wore off rode home. Another fun day in paradise. I guess I'll be limping and staying out of the ocean for a bit. *shivers* I can just imagine what that salt water would do on these raw patches.

03. Consumed alcohol? 3 or under. My great grandmother was prescribed a beer a day by her doctor and used to share it with me. And yes, I turned out an alcoholic.

05. Went to the hospital? 1st time at 11....emergency appendectomy...which turned out not to be my problem.

07. Lost a pet? oh gawd. The only one that counts, and I still grieve for him almost daily was my dog, Flapping Eagle, at the age of 34.

09. Broke a bone? 1st time, late 20's; 2nd time, early 30's; third time early 30's; 4th time, mid-forties; most recent, last year.

12. Went to a concert? Went to some as a little kid, but of notable concerts in my early 20s I saw Hendrix, the Doors, Janis Joplin, Led Zeppelin and others I was probably too wasted to remember. =p
13. Met someone famous? At 9 I lived 2 blocks from Ozzie and Harriet Nelson (if any of you know who they were) and played in their yard. Also about then I met the guy who played the Lone Ranger on the tv series.
14. Got in a car wreck? None serious. 1st one I can remember, I was about 20. Me and a friend were t-boned, but not badly.
15. Dyed your hair? Mid forties me and a girlfriend dared each other to dye our hair red. (we were both blondes) she looked great...I looked reeeeeealy silly

17. Went to another state/province? Maybe 10 or 11
18. Went across the country? Never east to west. North to south 21 or 22.
19. Went to another country? As a kid my parents took me to Ensenada, Mexico now and again. So maybe 8 or 9.
20. Got a tattoo? Gave myself my first one at 15. Can't quite count them now as they blend together a lot and I got some in batches. ;3
21. Had a piercing? Pierced my own ear at 15
22. Smoked pot? 1st time I was still 16. Quit in my 40s.

Posted 12 years agoNew hard drive and everything re-installed...well, almost everything....in 23 hours. Not bad. And I was afraid of my computer going down in Mexico. I've never gotten that kind of stuff done in less than 4 days up in the states. Whoopie! The Bunny is back to play!! >:3

Posted 12 years agoMy hard drive is failing. It's already crapped out twice. I'm lucky to have got online this morning. I don't expect to be able to be online for a while once it fails for good. I may have this comp fixed or I may get a new one. Either way it may be slow going. So If I disappear don't worry. I'll be back ASAP.

Posted 12 years agoFor what it is worth, I think Blade Runner is the best movie of all time. With the best sound track. Anyone who hasn't seen it and likes Sci-fi and good music, check it out. You won't regret it.
