my surgery has been postponed till aug 1st, so i have 2 more weeks to recuperate my ribs and leg before then. the bad part is 2 more weeks of full time pain in my wrist. ugh! Bunny wasnt built for pain.
but anyway ill be around more than i expected i guess. >:3

found out today, im going back in for another wrist surgery thursday. probly wont be around much if at all for several days. wish me luck. im not sure how im going to manage one handed again. see all of you when i can and feel up to it.

I'm recovering, though it's going to be a long slow process. I have tons of notes, comments, pictures to look at and other things that I need to do to catch up here and bit by bit I will get to them. And I promise I will catch up one of these times, but first I need to heal and do a lot of resting. So If you are wondering why I haven't responded to something, wonder no more. I will. It's just a matter of time. I only have a certain amount of energy per day and an awful lot of doctor's appointments, physical therapy and other stuff going on too.

No one has said anything to me to trigger this journal, so don't think anyone is bugging me or anything. I just wanted to be polite and let you all know what's going on and that I WILL get back to you just as soon as time and energy permit.

So, If being a temporary cripple isn't enough, today on the way home from town I spotted smoke and told Mary Beth there was a fire. Now let me explain that i'm staying with her in her house way out in the hills Where there has been no trees cut or brush cleared for like the last 50 years.......and it is bone dry out here.

We got to the house just as the Forestry Service planes started to circle and they were right over us. We never saw the fire itself but it was only about a mile away and the wind blowing our direction. We packed up a carful of valuables, her dog, and booked. Back to Kendall's house where we could stay and be safe.

About a half hour after we got there they announced the fire was out, having consumed about 60 acres. So we jump back in the car and home we go, where everything is fine but stinky from the smoke. The fire got about 1/2 mile from us. Pretty scary all the same.

Now we are both mentally and physically exhausted and just trying to catch our breath.

Thanks mother nature. We both needed this like a big thorny dildo inserted in a tender spot!

As many of you know by now, I was in a bad motorcycle accident 11 days ago. A lot of injuries that kept me in ICU for over a week. I was released a few days ago and was recovering well, but yesterday I found myself unable to bear any weight on my left leg,which was fine before though I have been on a walker. Also my shattered wrist that I thought was fixed is aching terribly 24/7. My pain pills don' touch either one. I'm staying with a friend out in the country who is helping me out immensely,but she is at work today, so I'm alone. I'm feeling worse by the hour and I'm not sure what to do. I had work done on my spleen where they tie off the arteries and veins to kill it and stop it from leaking as it had ruptured and I was losing blood fast. Im' wonderoing if something is going wrong there. My friend thinks I just over did the walking the day befofre and talked me out of going back to the emergency room yesterday. Now I'm not so sure that was a good idea. I really don't know what to do right now.

Anyway, all the whining aside, I meant this journal to apologize for not getting back to every one to whom I owe thanks and comments and such. I just can't get motivated feeling as poorly as I do and rather mixed up. I'm sorry.

Meanwhile, I'd love to hear anyone's thoughts as to what I should do. I'm way out in the country where an ambulance is going to have a hard time finding me probably, and I don't want to feel like I'm wimping out, but I'm in a lot of pain andjust not sure what is my best thing to do. Suggetions would be appreciated.

Now I'm going back to bed for an hour or so to try to meditate some of my pain away,but I'll be backto see what replies, if any, I get after that.

Why is it that people will go out to the country.....pay money to camp at a campground in the wilds.....and then PLAY THEIR MOTHERFUCKING CAR STEREO AT TOP VOLUME all the time except when they decide to go to bed. And maybe for a little while in the morning while they wake up. What makes THEM so special that they should destroy the ambiance for everyone else? Yet the campground rules are always..'quiet time is 10 pm till 7 am'. Fuck any one who wants a bit of peace and quiet. And why do they need this incessant noise? I'm totally unable to understand.

My second rant is this....
why do people think it's fine to rise at 5 am in a campground full of people and begin talking, laughing, banging whatever pots etc they have
etc and start their car to warm it up...let it idle...while everyone else is wishing they could get another hour of nappy?

So here is my thing. Does no one have any compassion for their fellow people anymore, or is it just me, me MEEEEEEEE!

My sister and I went to the Puerto Vallarta Zoo today and they had two, three month old tiger cubs and a two month old lion cub that you could interact with. For a fee of course. ;3 I could NOT pass up a chance like this so....... Here's links to short (under 1 minute) videos of me and the cubs.
The lion was a real sweetheart, though she was squirmy and sorta wild. But at least she didn't claw and only bit softly. But the tiger girl was quite a bit more aggressive and just wanted to do some rough play. She bit and clawed and it took some fancy work to keep from getting in trouble with her. I walked out of there bleeding pretty good from some claw gouges, but it was SOOOOOO worth it. How often do chances like these come along after all?
