Just a note to let you all know that I'll be gone for about a week from next Wednesday the 9th till about the 16th. I'm going for surgery to reroute some of my plumbing and get my food going through the way it's supposed to. I've been fighting it for months with drug therapy but my doctor finally gave up and threw me to the cutter. So I'll be in the hospital for approximately a week without internetz (:0) I'll miss you all!! Meanwhile I'll be here till Tuesday night. Wish me luck!

Well yesterday was my first day back from the con and I still haven't caught up with all the stuff that I let go while I was there!

I had a fantastic time!! It being my first, I was lucky to be meeting with  laurenrivers who took me under her wing and showed me the ropes. I met all of her roommates,  shrag , who is also her mate,  tobi3b,  KDVC ,  xaqtly ,  hyenafur , and  teric and had a great time hanging out with them all. I went to lunch and dinner with them several times and went out with them when they suited, acting as handler and photographer. What a treat that was!

I was lucky enough to get badges from Rabbi Tom, Dark Natasha and Kacey for myself and my mate Alonira, who attended in the form of a plush fox I kept in my pocket with her head and paws sticking out, and she was dubbed 'pocket fox'. I want to give special thanks to  tobi3b who rescued her when she jumped out of my pocket on the way back from Taco Bell. Lord knows how she'd have survived by herself on the streets of San Jose!!

Watched and photographed the fursuit parade with Shrag while Lauren was in a conference and got pix of almost all the suiters. Got attacked by a spear toting wild dog (I think he was a wild dog) and fell in love with a pink bunny with an English accent! (If anybody knows who that pink bunny with the swept back ears and English accent is I'd love to know their FA name so I could watch them!!) Ran into Krystal several times too. What a sweetheart she is!

Anyhow it was a perfect time! And a great introduction to fur cons. I'll definitely be returning next year and I plan to be suiting as Liane. Now I just have to work to make it happen! :)

My personal New Years Resolution is just to try to make 2011 a better year all the way around than 2010 was. I'm going to work hard on that.

It has always been my habit to shout a thanks to everyone who found one of my submissions pleasing enough to mark it as a favorite. Lately though, due to increased submissions on my part and the number of people who have been so kind as to fave them, I haven't been able to keep up with doing this because of the time involved. I could copy/paste a stock 'thank you' and did a few times. But that feels phony to me. I just can't do that. So I'm really not sure what to do. I want to thank everyone but just don't have the time to do it individually anymore. So I'm going to say here, and I'm going to put it in my profile too.

To all of my friends, watchers and those who just wander by and see something they like well enough to fave, I thank you! It's a privilege to be able to commission the great artists here and to receive the gift art that comes to me now and again. Go ahead and groan all you want, it's the best I could think up. I'm not a joke writer. =p

I started up my laptop this morning and picked it up and it went crazy. Shut down, started back up and when I got it all up, it shut down again with corrupted files. :( I got diskcheck working and it seems ok right now but I have to take it for a 200 odd mile motorcycle ride home today and I have no idea if it's going to work when I get home. If it doesn't I'll be offline till I can get it fixed or get another one (this one is pretty old).

So if I'm not around for a while after this morning, that's what has happened. I have my fingers crossed, but something is obviously up with it. Wish me luck!

Can you picture Liane as a sexy, evil corporate villain trying to steal the secret of electricity in a steampunk setting? Yes? How about as the unwitting subject of the first attempt to change the course of time by use of a time machine? Yes again? Well through the storytelling talent of  laurenrivers you can now read the tales that she plays these parts in. These stories aren't about her per se, but she was lucky enough to be chosen to play a part in both of them, and the first part of both are now available to read.

Odyssey ( http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4408395 ) is a great end of the steampunk era adventure.
And Clockwork ( http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4495144 ) is a neat love story/time machine story about the invention of a time machine and the first try to change the flow of events by using it. (Liane's Mate, Alonira has the lead role in this story too, by the way.)

So if you're interested in some good furry tales full of the romance of adventure, and featuring characters you know and love (I hope!), check out Lauren's work. Read it, comment on it, and fave it if you like it! (And you can tell her Liane sent you!) That's the only way she can know that she's appreciated. And anyone who works hard to present us with something nice like this needs and deserves appreciation!

BTW..for those of you to whom it may make a difference, these are not erotic or yiffy stories. They are fun adventure.....with perhaps a bit of romance. After all everybody falls in love too, don't they?

Yay! Only took a day to get rid of the nasty bugger virus, so's I'm a happy rabbit again!!
