Help Save the Internet from being Censored!!!
Posted 14 years agoThe US Congress is ready to pass the Stop Online Piracy Act which would enable them to shut down such sites as YouTube simply because users upload such things as My Little Pony episodes or even do karaoke of a copyrighted song.
If you live in the US please help us all by letting your representatives know you won't stand for them censoring our free internet. If you live somewhere else, please back us up in any way you can. It would a major blow to ALL of us if this legislation passes since so many of the sites that would be affected are based in the US.

Back to Space in a big way?
Posted 14 years agoEver since I was a kid reading Heinlein, Asimov and Clarke, I've believed that mankind needed to get out to the planets and the stars and spread into the universe. I think it's the only way our species will survive. And lately the chances of this happening have seemed to me to be shrinking. Maybe this project can turn it around and get us moving towards that day when the Earth isn't the only home for us. I hope so. I really do!!

slashersivi has started a fundraising campaign on their site to try to raise $1000 for the donkeys. She's offering art for all levels of donations. FlowerGirls And as long as we're going that far we thought it would be fun to do some special stuff like run a contest to come up with an official FlowerGirls icon. And maybe if there is enough interest, do features of flower girls and their pictures beyond just the icons. One More Try!
Posted 14 years agoWell, I'm going to try this again! I thought I was ready to resume my activities here when I wrote my last journal, but I had a rather major setback the next day. My body revolted and it's taken till today before I felt with it enough to even start to tackle this again. I'm going to try to start working through all the notes and comments left me, but please be patient with me. I'm still moving rather slow and not spending too long on the computer at once. I'm getting better and stronger every day though now, and I think I'll be back up to speed soon! (that includes the RP's too, though I'm saving them for last...please! Don't give up on me.....I'll get there!!)

laurenrivers who both kept me so entertained texting me in the hospital. Without them I would surely have gone crazy!!! Thanks for everything you two!!! I love you both more than you know!!!My surgery went well and my Doctor says I'm healing nicely and should make a great recovery. I'm still very weak and sore but another six weeks off work will give me a chance to get back in shape. And hopefully get a lot of other things accomplished too!
I'm so happy to be back!! I really missed all you guys and FA!
Now to go tackle the daunting task of getting back up to speed here (oh boy!!), starting with a few submissions!
