***** Need phone help Badly, Nokia N97 *****
Posted 15 years agoI bought a Nokia N97 phone and I'm trying to transfer images onto it. Every time I do, however, no matter where in the subfolders I transfer my image folders to, they always appear in the "Downloads" section when trying to view them on the phone again.
This is particularly frustrating when trying to organize several thousand images.
Does anyone know how I can organize them without getting them dumped into the that Downloads section?

****** IMPORTANT!!! WILL ART FOR SPRITE ICE!!!******
Posted 15 years agoHere's the deal; Sprite Ice (http://mojoking.homestead.com/files/000_0048.JPG) is my favorite soda of all time. It was the sort of drink you'd either love or hate. There was no middle ground.
I've caught word that it may still be around in some places in the US, as well as Vanilla Coke (my second favorite, neither sold up in Canada anymore)
So here's the deal: For every 3-5 bottles of Sprite Ice that I can get off someone for retail price and have it shipped to me in Toronto, I will do them a line-art thing of whatever they wish. Can'sll have to be discussed.
Vanilla coke'll have to be discussed as well, because I KNOW that exists, and it's been 7 years since I've last had a Sprite Ice.
Other deals discussed. I just want me that soda so bad.

That's all, folks.

********** If I've upset you, please let me know.
Posted 15 years agoI've hurt a lot of peoples feelings with my abject and inappropriate sarcasm and comments, many of which I'm unaware of my actions. This fact was recently nailed home by a friend of mine, and while I don't like knowing that there's something I've done wrong and lingering, NOT knowing exactly who or what is even worse.
I know words are cheap, but I want to make amends.

Here comes the artists challenge!
Posted 15 years agoY'know what? It's time for a challenge.
I've been slacking like a piece of shit stuck to a shoe; noticeable, but... uhh... well let's just say I'm not happy with the amount of work I've been doing so here's my personal challenge.
For the over the course of the next 32 days, ending on the 16th of June, I will be doing 150 character drawings. Anyone's characters, I will be spinning through FA at random and just plucking ones here and there that strike my fancy, as well as a couple of my own that I feel I've been neglecting.
Quality isn't so much a goal here as much as working quick and efficiently, because if I ever want to actually be an animator then taking a day and a half for a line art is unacceptable.
So, be prepared for a flood in your inbox for the next month.
On my mark, get set, go!

Is there a genetic manipulator in the house? Requests?
Posted 15 years agoNow that my computer's back in full working order after my burning out my videocard I've been feeling frisky to do more TF drawings. However, I'm just a little barrel-bummed on anything dynamic right now.
I mean, this could TECHNICALLY be considered requests, but I need more detailed descriptions on the scenario than just 'X turning into Y'.
Ssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssshhhhhhhhhhhhwwwwwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhh!!
EDIT!!! This is NOT open request teritory. This is me a little low on ideas and looking for a decent suggestion or two.

I read that such things aren't uncommon on other free hosting sites, but um, screw that that. Any ToS which gives itself the right to exploit something can go suck a fuck.
Besides, you're not allowed to draw porn on USTREAM. No, really. Not even in private channels. You can have mature-rated channels, but no porn, which leaves... graphic displays of violence? But, no porn. Bloody brilliant.
Thanks to
crux crux for pointing this out. "

Holy shit, Jumping spider just made my morning awesome!!!!
Posted 16 years agoOkay, wow, so I've been having something of an awesome morning so far what with just coming up with a neat idea on how a 'furry' world would come to be, but when I booted up my computer to type it out a little Jumping spider hopped onto my monitor stand. Thinking nothing of it I proceeded to do what I was doing until I saw the little spider crawl up to the very edge of my monitor.
Now, just for fun I ran the cursor right over near it, and wouldn't you know it the little critter whipped right around to face the cursor! I moved it back and forth along the edge of the screen and the little spider turned to face it wherever it went.
But wait, it got better =D
The spider decided to crawl up onto the screen a good few inches in. I followed it with the mouse, and lo' and behold the little spider turned to face it, as well as jump back when it got too close, and even attacking it a couple times XD
So I played with this 'best jumping spider evar!' for a few minutes until it got bored and wandered off the screen again.
Seriously.
Jumping spiders have leapt a million points forward in my 'most awesome thing evar' list.

"The Value of Art"
Posted 16 years agoI was reading through some of Maggock's blogs and I found this one.
""One time long ago, a rich man decided he wanted a nice picture of a fish to hang on his wall. So he went to the most famous artist in all the land and asked him, “Will you paint me the most beautiful picture of a fish in the world?”
The artist said, “Of course! But it will be expensive, it will cost you 1,000,000 Rubles.”
The man said “I don’t care what it costs, just do it!”
The artist said, “Pay me in advance, and then come back in one year.”
So the man came back the next day, handed over all the money, then left to wait. He waited an entire year, through the summer, winter, spring and fall.
Then exactly a year later he returned to the artists home and knocked on the door. The artist answered the door and said “Come in.”
The man anxiously asked, “Is my fish ready? Did you do your best work?”
The artist replied, “Of course, sit here, I will have your fish ready in a moment.”
The man sat next to a long table. The artist left the room, then returned with a piece of paper, a brush, and a pot of paint. The artist then dipped the brush in the paint, and in one minute painted the most exquisite and most beautiful picture of a fish imaginable. “Here is your painting, sir.” The man was stunned- in more ways than one!
The man said “That certainly is a most beautiful picture- but it only took you a minute to paint! This is robbery! I won’t pay you a million rubles for a painting that takes you one minute!! This is absurd!”
The artist calmly put down his brush and said, “Come with me for a moment.” And led the man over to a large closet on the other side of the room. The artist opened the door and out fell thousands of pieces of paper with fish painted on them."
The moral of the story is what goes into the end product is HARDLY where the entire effort goes. You are not paying that artist for any one piece he or she has done. You are paying that artist for the years s/he spent honing his/her craft to bring it to the point where people want to buy it.
When we buy any service, be it from a lawyer, a plumber, an accountant, a tax consultant, or even yes, an artist, we’re buying not only that service, but the years of experience, practice, and education that comes with them. That’s why people with more experience, practice, and education can command higher prices.
So remember this story when you buy or sell artwork!"
I'd really suggest watching, and definitely reading the comic. Deep stuff. http://innerspace.notonigon.com/
Heh, maybe now I'll get some commissions.

An Interview With Your Character: Woserite
Posted 16 years ago-An Interview with Woserite-
What species are you?
"A question that I would like answered myself. The closest I relations I can find would be a modern day ram or a horse."
Who are you?
"I've had very, very many names from 'goddess' to 'abomination' and everything in between that. I personally answer to Woserite. Wose-rite."
How old are you?
"Uhhmm, I believe I am 47... no, 46 and a half million.
Where are you from?
"That really big continent was called before it divided. It's name escapes me. After that, though, I spent all of my time around central America.
Do you like yaoi or yuri?
"I knew a very nice boy once named Yuri. He was an adorable child. He would often call me 'jungle mother'."
Are you a boy or a girl?
"I am female, if that is what you mean."
Do you have any brothers or sisters?
"I have never had any kin in direct relation to me, there were many, and a few today, who would call me sister."
Who's your mate/spouse?
"The greatest disappointment to living as long as I have. I have had very many 'relationships', but they often do not last, and certainly none of them have lasted me till present."
Do you have any kids?
"Another regret of mine. You seem to have a knack for asking these kinds of questions. I have raised children, I have taught children, and I have even assisted in birthing. For certain there is a part of me that wishes to have offspring of my own.
What's your favorite food?
*Yummy noise* "Mmm, modern day mangoes. All of these years, and I have nearly mastered finding a perfect mango of the year. I'm just trying to narrow down the time of day, and then I must share a mango with you."
Have you ever killed anyone?
"An unfortunate turn of conversation from mangoes to murder. Yes, I have killed a fair number over time. Most of the lives were lost when I took one side over another and tried to protect it, but that never concluded well. These are things I would greatly rather forget."
What kind of music do you like?
"I have a particular liking towards ceramic wind instruments, but those are unfortunately rare in these years. Although, recently I have gained a great appreciation for a music called 'swing'."
What do you do to relax?
"At any time when things are quiet and I can let my mind wander. As well, if there are people by my side, that is enough."
Do you constantly get hurt?
"Time is only a measurement for the extremes. I have been burned, stabbed, poisoned and have had broken everything in my body that there is to break. I suppose that you could link this question back to 'if I had ever killed someone'."
Do you like your creator?
"I do not know yet. I have met a met a number of gods in my lifetime, mostly because I am one of the few things that lives long enough to acquire their attention, but no, none of these are responsible for me. Perhaps my 'god' died before I even knew of the word."
What’s your favorite season?
"You may say that whenever the fruit is ripest would be my favorite. I think I have narrowed down my favorite to April fourteenth, in the hours sometime between eleven in the morning to five in the afternoon. Whatever season that would fall into would be your answer."
Have you ever had sex?
"You will never live through the dividing of a continent and now have had sex with something. In the days of 'gods' it was much more common place for me, but in more recent years it has twiddled considerably. *chuckles* Although, I can tell you for a fact that a lone saber-tooth is hardly as ferocious as you might think.
Have you been violated/molested/raped before?
"Contrary to the previous question, I am hardly open to any and all sexual advances. I have been raped once; a group who thought that they could overpower me in a group. I will tell you that the 'rape' did not last as long as my punishment towards them did. There have other times, but again, they are ones that I would rather forget."
Who’s your best friend?
"Until he dies, I enjoy Proxer's company. I had followed a family of Tortoise for a few dozen generations, but I still prefer Proxer."
Got a crush?
"No."
Do you like hugs/kisses/cuddles/etc.?
"If you are kind, then I will return the favor. It is as simple as that."
Are you gay?
"I can enjoy the company of anyone, regardless gender, race, creed or species, so long as they are actually deserving of a returned kindness."
Play any sports or...anything?
"I have dabbled with those things, but I have gained a deeply rooted opposition to competition in that regard. I would prefer to watch."
If you had a chance to kill your creator would you do it?
"You seem to have a lot of troubling things on your mind. I will let you deal with your demons in private."
What species are you?
"A question that I would like answered myself. The closest I relations I can find would be a modern day ram or a horse."

To those who give a damn: A knot in my stomach.
Posted 16 years agoIt's been a really shitty way to end a school year. A really, really shitty way.
So, in a brief summary, at my art college I was re-taking a few classes again this year from first year because, let's face it, I sucked last year. THIS year, after having a little difficulty with the teachers, but not so much with the work, I thought that I would FINALLY be going on to second year but then I was socked in the stomach after having a dozen or so knives stuck in my back.
I was called to a meeting with the school administrator, and apparently, even though I have passes in all my courses, that they don't want me to go on to second year, even so much as questioning if this is really what I want to do and telling me that maybe this isn't the school for me. This year my work has been good, much, much better than last year and besides a low-pass in Principles of Drawing I've done well this year, but THEIR mindset is that since I'm repeating a buncha' classes that I should be uber high passing all of them!
How the hell would I suddenly change THAT much? I'll be the first to admit that my drawing skill improves in leaps and bounds, but not to these kinds of expectations, also telling me about my 'energy level' and shit. Complete bullshit.
So after hearing them say this, often trying to soften the blow by telling me that I'm "still young", and that I should take a year off or go elsewhere. My mind doesn't work too well during these sorts of situations, so I was pressured into agreeing to take next year off, and to submit a portfolio of work over that time, although they didn't seem to care very much if I did or didn't.
Fuck.
I wasn't completely sure if I'd have the money for second year, but now...
Now I seriously don't know what to do.
So now I really don't know what to do.

It's like PIXAR if they actually made something cool. I'm so psyched for this series. Man, sometimes I wish Japan was an actual place ^w^;;

Holy Crrrrrrrrrrrrrap, I used to suck.
Posted 16 years agoGawd! Just going through my gallery makes me want to delete everything I did pre-2009. This is not, I repeat, NOT some "Baaaw, gimmie attention" shit, this is me getting something of artistic 'growing pains', realizing that in such a short time nearly everything in my gallery is obsolete. Like, I've nearly completely redesigned Woserite, mostly on scrap newsprint, from her original design back in June '08 (and a comparison of which I'll post later).
But Yeeeeeeeeeeeshhh, at this rate, I'll actually be 'good' by the end of this year.

Fuuuuuuuuuu-huhuhuuuuuck....!
Posted 16 years agoWhy did it have to happen Nooooooow?!?!
Second last week of school, the climax where all the large assignments and portfolio reviews start to get really pressing. Now why is it I get that horrible, sore throat, noodly feeling now? Can't you try to take over my body some other time, disease?
Ugggggggggggghhh!
And to top it off, Hauke, you remember that super-duper promise I said I would never break? Yeah? You do? Well... fuck.
Edit: Okay, so apparently I have a really strong immune system. Going from zero-to-102.6 with a loss of equilibrium and throbbing all over to feeling sort of hot this morning with a nearly insignificant headache. I gotta' take advantage of this bodily blessing and work my tuchas' off.
