Posted 10 years ago Hey y'all. Sorry I've not been around much, but lots has happened! I've successfully graduated college, managed to break and fix my computer several times, and intend to move out with a couple besties come September!
Of course, this means having a stable and regular income for food, rent and studentloans, so I've finally set up what I hope to be a regular commission schedule, complete with organized Commission Form and spread sheets! Look how organized I am and be amazed!
So the plan is to test out this weekly commission schedule and see if I can feasibly support it, and thus support myself, in what is ostensibly a "Dry Run".
Commissions will be taken on a "First Come, First Serve" basis, with 2 to 3 Slots per typical week. Those who got the slot will be contacted, and further instructions are listed in the Commission form linked below.

PC status update
Posted 10 years agoWell after several weeks of trying to recover data and waiting for new harddive, i wasnt able to recover much except for my drawing folders that i backed up at the first sign of trouble.
As for the new harddrive, id recieved a combo SSD-HDD drive. I installed windows 10, and learned the HDD portion was faulty and stuttered when reading. So thats going back. Ended up just getting seperate SSD and HDD which i just need to clone my windows to the new ssd before i return it.
In the mean time, im pretty much back in business.

Posted 10 years agoMy secondary harddrive, the one I keep all my art on no less, has been giving me grief. Then windows Bootmgr vanished. Fortunately I backed up all my Sai files so no commissions in progress has been lost. All it means is another goddamn thing for me to need to fix.

An end to a tiny life...
Posted 11 years agoAs mentioned in my last journal, one of my budgies of nearly 9 years had gotten very sick. She started to have serious sort of swelling that was even starting to push against her vent, and had already lost so much weight, so I made the call that enough was enough, and to give her a way out Saturday (then friday)
she passed away not an hour after my mom had stopped by to give me some much needed TLC
I came back upstairs, and she was gone
And after a week+ of not knowing if she was getting better or worse, and the hope and dispair...
I only hope that she passed without pain. And I will miss everything about her, from assisting her to lay her first egg, to her stupid emotional anger moodswings, to her crawling in toiletpaper tubes to make weird chirping sounds half way down while her sister watched. The worries Id go through for every other egg she'd lay, even if i knew she was fully capable of passing them. Or taking a bath in her water dish, but not wanting to get her feet wet, so instead hanging on the sides and trying to lower her body in, and then playing on her hanging rings to dry off.
My only regret is she had to leave her brother and sister, whom I'm sure will miss her just as much.
You will be missed, Burd.

Posted 11 years agoOkay, so as y'all know, Ive been VERY inactive lately, especially when it comes to the timely finishing of commissions. Once my semester of school finished and i was left on Xmas holiday break, it was my intention to catch up on the backlog i had amassed. This went fine for the first week, but the day after I moved back home for the rest of it one of my budgies of 8 years started acting sick. And when birds ACT sick, it's a bad sign.

Posted 13 years agoNow that school's over and I'm moved back home for the summer I can finally fix my computer after my C drive crapped out on me. Bought the parts for the upgrade a few weeks ago because I knew the C drive was on its way out, but now that I've gone to fix it I realize that there's just some complications with the internal layout of my hardware.
-New replacement harddrive is SATA
-Older secondary harddrive is IDE
-Current DVD drive is SATA
-Motherboard has 2 SATA inputs, but one is partially obstructed by my fatass videocard.
-Need both Harddrive and DVD drive to install windows 7 DVD.
This is just a little problem I need to fix to get my workstation back in order. Problem's a bit more complex than that, but that's the skinny.

SpiritRaptor makes awesome collars. I've gained a mild interest in them, and at very least wouldn't mind owning one of my own for special occasions (and besides, it'd match my watchband!).
Good work isn't really cheap, though, coming to about $80 smackers, or 8 $10 sketches from me.
Anyone wanna' help me get a collar in between doing school drawings?
