My first day (part 2)

So now i'm feeling better enough to write to you the finish of my first day in the fandom. After talking with Jeff-the-chiller I went back to "sleep". I say "sleep" because I was still feeling bad and coughing quite a lot. but I did get some rest and got up. I work from home selling Garden Anywhere Boxes and helping around the house as I can.
I had a chance to work on some chain mail stuff i was wanting to get done so I thought I'd get on FA and see what was going on. I saw a freebie stream being done and thought ' I don't have much I can spend right now, but free is in my price range'. So I clicked on Crazycashcap's stream and went to see if they would want to draw my sona. The only thing is I still didn't really know what my sona was. Like I said last time i was liking the idea of a dog bunny hybrid, but I wasn't sure. I got into the stream and said hullo like I do, and then it hit me. I knew what my sona was.
Now, if you are unaware, Mr. Nal of an old film from 1983 I won't hold it against you. But what came to me was a character from the movie Twice Upon A Time named Ralph, the All-purpose Animal. He was voiced by Lorenzo Music, the voice of Garfield from Garfield and friends. And in Twice Upon A Time Ralph is an All-purpose animal, meaning he could change any part of himself to that of an animal (he could give himself ram horns eagle wings cat feet shark tail, whatever)
When I thought back to this movie I new that was for me, my sona was going to be an All-purpose Animal. So I asked Crazycashcap if they could draw my sona and I explained what it looked like and sent a picture of ralph to them. The main alteration between me and ralph was that I would not have glasses and instead have a pith helmet ( more on that next time :) ) they said they could but they were working on another thing at the moment, I was fine waiting because they were streaming the art they were working on at the time and it was cool to watch, and they were playing some cool music so it gave me something to listen to as I worked on chain mail. Crazycashcap wasn't able to get to my sona during the stream, but I still had fun chatting with others on the stream and listening to music, and hey, it was going to be free so i wasn't going to be stinky about something that was going to be given to me. All in all I had a really fun time in the fandom and it got me thinking about what I could bring to the fandom apart from just myself. And that got me thinking about something I've been wanting to do for a while now, but just never really pushed myself to do. Well, now I think I found my audience for my art.
And just what is my art you ask?
Well, Mr. Nal, you will have to read my next letter for that :)

My first day

So yesterday was my first full day on FA and let me tell you, there are some amazing people( for lack of a better term yet) on here.
I have just gotten back to Oklahoma from Akon in TX and I got sick that night. Before I went to sleep my wife and I thought we would check out FA because we had been talking about it while at the con, but we didn't have computers with us so we would wait till we got home.
When we got home I made an account and was looking around at all the amazing art on here. but it had been a long drive and I was starting to not feel to good so I thought I would head to bed and look more tomorrow.
Tomorrow came way to early for me. I woke up at 3 am because I was coughing and could not get comfy.
I brought my lap top into the bathroom because I knew I would be up a while and I didn't want to wake my wife with the light from the screen.
I got on and it seemed like it was meant to be, an artist had just posted that they could not sleep and that the first person that responded would get a free sketch of something. I was new and I still didn't have a picture of my fursona so I thought I would ask for that.
I had been doing online quizzes to find out what my animal was, but most of them said I was a dog, and while i like dogs i didn't think that that was my inner animal. I then thought maybe a hybrid, so I thought about a bunny /dog ( cause bunnies are cute and I love cute things)
my wife knew her animal right away, Cat. She loves cats so much it's funny. so it was easy for her to pick an animal and be happy with it.
So, back to the artist, It was the artist known as Jeff-the-chiller I went to the link and found I had missed being the first by two other people, drat! oh well, i thought the art was really good so I thought i'd tell them that I liked their art and that if they wanted to draw our fursonas that would be awesome, but I knew i didn't get there first so if not that was cool too.
Jeff-the-chiller was super nice and told me some things about furries and the fandom, cause i had said we were new to the FA and fandom in general.
It was nice talking and it made the time pass. I went back to bed and tried to sleep, though it was not easy.
I'm realizing i have a lot more to say so i'll brake this into two entries.
