Heya, everyone.
I don't really wanna waste too much of everyone's time, so let's be real; I think that my OC needed a 'restart'.
When I first came up with Firefly, he really wasn't what he's now. After being around for some time I really don't like what he's become: Just another generic little slutty gay horse doing his thing. Obviously I cant blame y'all, especially when I post things like this on a regular basis. This shift in character is really just my fault. I relate to him, or at least wanted to, for it was a way of letting the character experience something that I couldn’t do myself irl. That just ended up with a promiscuous gay oc- and I'd honestly would love to apologize to him for making him that way - but I can't.

Well, most of you really like him (just like I do too) but I just wanted to try a few changes that would let me start over. And that's where we are now: I've been working with some friends to come up with a little update, and I finally got something done!

His name's Rosy Firefly.
Before this update, my oc had the cutiemark of a phoenix's wing. Funny, but I can finally explain how that happened. (check out the bio below ;P)
Also I added a new secondary character named Avis. She's a female Phoenix, who's in a bond with Rosy. Two creatures with two minds sharing one body.
So, visually we'll see Firefly as a Pony when Avis is inside his mind, but they can switch roles where Avis materializes but Firefly stays inside her mind.
And here's something the story won't tell ya... He's actually straight, but being in constant contact with the female makes him start shifting between interests and generally more feminine.

I honestly hope that you will like this rework of my oc. I do believe you care about him as much as I do.

An open fire

These events occured before the defeat of Nightmare moon, about one century ago.

There once was a young foal, living his early life with his parents upon a field along the outskirts of Fillydelphia. The family of earthponies had a peaceful life upon their little farm.
The foal held both a bright blue coat and mane of a deeper shade.

One day, the small foal played outside, a day as any other, before he encountered something Strange. A bright light shone upon the horizon, a starlike point moving closer, trailed by a glowing shine. Without realizing how he was leaving his family farm, he followed the strange light, deep into the nearby forest.

As he ventured into the woods, in pursue of the Phoenx' Flame, he did not really undestand why he felt such an attraction towards the bright shine between the tree's trunks. Curiously approaching the strange orb, he didnt realize as the flames started licking at his coat. The touch so warm at first, yet soon they grew brighter, the heat harming the yet young colt. He cried, movement lost as he stood there, his whines unheard from deep within the forest:
Two creatures burnt together. Left, nothing more than a heap of ashes and the flickering of a dying ember.

It only took moments, before a familiar orb rose from the ashes. A Phoenix no more, as it was a bright blue light that cast itself in the shape of a pony. As the flames slowly died out, the little body of the same foal lied upon the forest floor. His coat and mane looked burnt, charred by the flames that still licked at his Form. Upon his flank a cutiemark had formed; a pink flame.
Yet the newest addition, a pair of smoldering wings, were stared upon with confusion, as he searched his memory, only to find it empty.

He wandered around the deep woods for hours, only finding a small Form of civilization after time. A village rose before him, paths strangely only walked by bat ponies, as the sky above didn't seem to change, stuck in a constant night.

The foal didn't really understand, even as the bat ponies took him into their midst, naming the young foal "Rosy Firefly". Firefly, A little nightly creature shining bright. Rosy, like the pinkish tint of his newly gained cutiemark.
Over time he learned the way of the secluded bat village, taking up some of their habits and manors.

Many years passed without a worry, yet one day something strange started occurring within his dreams. Pink. Endless. A rosy haze of the same color covered the seemingly endless plains, clouds sharing the same tint. Yet, there it was that he met her. A pinkish Phoenix, who he decided to name Avis after a couple of dreams. They quickly turned friends, supporting each other in his dreams. He decided not to tell anyone of his strange dreams and the Phoenix within them. They got closer until even that changed one sudden night.

He'd been flying back to the village, surprised by a storm which had risen out of nowhere. He should've known not to fly in such stormy weather, yet didn't head it, only to be struck down by lighting.
His body was wrecked, yet his mind prevailed. The fading dream held his dying self. Avis was shocked, the faith of her friend suddenly thrown onto her shoulders. She was overrun by fear, anger, sadness...love- trying everything to save him. It caused her to spark. Ignite.
To be reborn like a Phoenix.

It took time before Firefly awoke, resting in the center of a Giant crater of ash and cremated nature. Avis couldn't belive it. They were alive. They were happy.
Yet, they still worried, seeing the destruction they had caused. They decided not to return to their village home, worried that their power could endanger the innocent residents.
And so they went on.

M. Stephen Wintre and I came up to the idea of making dakimakura pillows with my artworks. Yay! Dakimakura pillows are based on my FINISHED designs (there is only one for now). If you want any other design of a pillows (like your OC) you can always get personal one! It includes any changes besides a pose as it's a base. For example, changing a colour of a tail and mane.
This will be possible only in few weeks!
