This is a long time coming, and honestly I need to be more assertive/act on the obvious sooner, but I've been scammed by an artist and I figure that it's time I warn people, just in case they pull it again. I'll stick to factual information, so this is in compliance with FA's rules. We don't name-call in this household!

An artist called BadSheep took my money ($100) about 2 years ago (late 2023) for a shaded NSFW commission of Zaps, strung me along that they were totally gonna work on it soon for about a year. (I'm extremely patient with artists so my sucker ass actually bought it and was simply waiting, only poking maybe once a month.) Obviously at this point, it's far too late to request a refund with PayPal. I'm sure they realized that, as they at this point suddenly went from regular replies to simply ghosting me, last reply being October 2024, and for the following year, I've just been trying to contact them repeatedly on every possible platform.

There's plenty of evidence of them being online on Telegram and Discord, from PFPs, bio, and status changing to the "last online" feature of the former- Plus, my entire chat history of pokes on Telegram was manually deleted by them at some point. Meaning they were obviously on their account and saw them. This is why I'm fairly certain at this point it's a scam and they didn't like, die or something.

I noticed this doesn't seem to be a thing yet, so I made a tool that downloads your FA gallery and imports it into Itaku, doing its best to convert metadata, description formatting, and even tags in the process (not an easy task because Itaku taks work totally different.) It even automatically recreates your gallery folders for ya! I call it Raitaku because... Rai Rai ⚡ :3

Currently only one post at a time is supported, but I'm working on a more stable bulk feature.

However, being without FA for more than 24 hours was a good reminder of how influential it, and it's founder has been in so many lives.

Neer was a casual friend of mine, one that I wish I'd gotten the chance to spend more time, get more art, and do more activities with, but I'm not one who likes to dwell on things I've lost. I tend not to talk about them, as that would mean acknowledging to myself that it even happened... But the thing is, it's important to stop sometimes and appreciate the things we took for granted and how they've helped shape us. No one is an island and all that.

It has come to my attention that recent (and utterly unhinged) rule adjustments to FA may compromise my and many other's ability to continue using and relying on this platform. A link to the update, there's another one from 3 days ago as well: https://furaffinity.net/journal/10557600

In short, recent clarification has seemingly gone BACK on what FA has said (or more like backpedaled after some backlash) previously on the matter of Pokemon/Digimon/etc when it comes to a certain policy, and it seems they are now... forward pedaling(?) again, but harder. Now they've gotten specific and stated that potentially quote "thousands of characters" will be banned from partaking- or just existing in the general vicinity of- all NSFW, fetish, or even suggestive situations if they have even a hint of kink (and the trigger-happiness of this rule has already been substantiated by observation of users). They are now providing specific examples, including: "Pichu, Mime Jr., Riolu, and Smoochum, other Pokémon such as Cubchoo, Cubone, Torchic, Ralts, Eevee, and Gothita, and Digmon such as Agumon, Impmon, Gatomon, and Veemon."

This latest clarification also attempts to claim that "SFW or non-sexualized interests, such as vore and transformation" don't count, but that's a lie. Vore IS one of the things users' have reported being taken down by staff under this policy within the last few months (and that was before the latest change went into effect, now it could be worse!) The only upside is that, as is claimed at least, a user must report you first before staff bothers to have a look and brings down the hammer of injustice.

But even with that caveat, the idea of blanket-banning NSFW and fetish content of certain species' REGARDLESS of their true age (even if it is made clear through anything other than making them... humanoid, such as speaking in an entirely adult way) is utterly insane. For instance Riolu, who can easily be canonically adults that chose not to evolve (I have at least 2 friends where this is the case!), or Eevee, which isn't even a baby Pokemon nor does it really look 'young'. I mean, Eevee have an egg group and are breedable in-game, WTAF are FA staff smoking? Is Pikachu banned next? Think about it... They're about the same size, and often treated as a duo by Pokemon Company/Nintendo, Let's Go just being one of many examples of that.

Regardless, let me explain specifically how this change affects me and those like me.

The problem comes from my natural chibi-esque style as an artist (and distaste for humanoid/overly 'anthro-morphed' Pokemon), plus a number of ADULT OCs my friends and I have that are likely on the no-no list, such as Riolu, Eevee (and logically speaking Pikachu, but I'm sure they avoided mentioning that specific case for fear of the immense fan backlash), Mew, Plusle, Pichu, Vulpix, Pachirisu (wait for it, I'm getting to her when the art's finished lol), and basically ANY 1st-evo starter (in my case Oshawott, Snivy, Piplup, Fennikin, and considering a Scorbunny OC, but my friends have MANY more starters) as they nearly all could be called 'childlike', at least under this absolute "shotgun approach" of a definition.

As such MANY of us Pokefurs who partake in the lewd or kinky side of things will effectively be royally screwed by this decision, as will a TON of creators, many of whom I have looked up to all my life and have inspired me to do this in the first place, NONE of whom have a focus on anything adjacent to "cub" content.

Overall, this is an incredibly disappointing and short-sighted rule change, and one which FA seems to be actively gaslighting users into thinking "isn't a big deal," when the experience of actual users contradicts what is claimed (and the actual policy itself is far too intentionally vague to resolve this incongruity). Unfortunately, such experiences may only go downhill from here, given how little FA seems to care about what actual creators think.

In light of these events I'd like to remind all of my viewers (Fans? Um, I hope you guys enjoy it here at least!) that you can also find me on some more sane platforms below, which I may post art too more regularly if things continue this way.

Hiya, I just created a SubscribeStar! It's similar to Patreon. I've been thinking about making one or the other for a while now, but I finally decided to go for it.

I figure I have enough experience with comms to give monthly sketches a try, so hopefully I won't get overwhelmed. That said, I STILL have to finish up 2/3 of my raffle prizes from a few months back lol. Yeah, some things just seem to fall off my radar when people don't bug me about them. Okay so to start with, normally art quality isn't really something I care about... I just like someone with good prices who's a nice person and friendly to deal with~

But this particular case is an exception, so any of the artists in my sorta circle wouldn't really be an option... I'm looking to get custom art for a gaming pad/mat surface for my new desk. I actually have someone to print it already, however what I need is the art!

So I'm looking for the most awesome wallpaper-worthy artists you can find! Gotta have badass hellfire and lighting effects to look gamery of course, lol.

Okay well, naturally there are a few caveats... For one I'd prefer artists who are readily available... As in regularly open and not a year-long wait queue, but a few months is probably fine. And I can't afford super expensive artists, but can spend much more than my usual... Looking for well below $300 though. Especially if that's only for one character, 'cause two would be more fun~ (So second character discount might also be a factor. Some artists have as low as just 30% base price which is excellent. Others are like 'no discount for you, 100% deal with it')

Anyhow, as far as what I want goes... depends on the artist and what they do well. If you they can do dragons/demons well, I do already have an idea there.

Growing Troubles is a transformation-themed slice-of-life comic featuring a rather interesting day in the life of a cheerful ferret by the name of Patch and set in Oliver, a lovely beachside town along the east coast and popular tourist destination.

The Setting & Story

In Patch's world, only furs exist. Things are mostly how you'd expect... animalistic personality quirks, some species rivalry, and a mainly playful pred vs prey dynamic, however the world is special in one aspect, which is that some are lucky enough to be born with a unique ability and/or physical trait. (There is even evidence that such traits can be unlocked in those born without them!)

Patch's own ability is a rare power known as limb-shifting, a sort of limited shapeshifting. Thing is, Patch can't actually control his power all that well... It tends to simply do it's own thing. Random changes could occur due to a myriad of different events, anything from sneezing to falling out of a tree! (Hey, he's a hobby photographer, gotta get that perfect angle right?)

Normally though, these are just small changes that revert themselves later, but on one day in particular, his powers just go absolutely bonkers. All sorts of things happen throughout the day to poor Patch, as the wild changes just pile on top of each other, from workplace wreckage to clothes store catastrophes!

Needless to say, things go off the rails as Patch has to figure out how to keep things together while wrangling with his body and his daily tasks, all while making a good impression to a new client at work!

You'll only be asked to pay once the segment of the comic featuring your character is coming up. Additionally, if you buy one or more pages, you may enter into the bonus party! Character Slots!

Note that each of the slots below has a max/min number of pages required. These are rough numbers since the story is of course influenced to some extent by it's participants, making things fairly flexible, especially depending how you choose to react to situations.

(Taken!) 1-3P Mailman: The mailman is in for a surprise delivery this morning, as they're met with a tidal wave of ferret fluff and paws atop them when they innocently ring the doorbell in an attempt to get a package signed! Reaction is up to you!

(Taken!) 1-5P Gym Cutie: Patch arrives at the gym for his morning workout as a hextaur and can't seem to change back like usual! This creates problems for using the gym equipment, which is only made worse by the distraction caused when he notices a cute girl/guy at the gym he can't take his eyes off. He tries to hide it but the awkward changes his horniness causes makes it difficult.

(Multislot) 5-10P (2P price) Coworkers: Patch arrives at work slightly late, and a lot more... leggy than usual. Plenty of shenanigans end up happening though, and despite putting his best, err... feet forward, he just can't catch a break!

(Available) 1+P Helpful Coworker: Patch ends up with multiple heads and a split personality, eventually leading to him getting tangled when he can't decide between two doorways. A multifur/multi-headed coworker asks if he could use some help... Being a bit more used to this sort of situation, they offer some helpful tips.

(Taken!) 2-6P Important Business Client: An important client from overseas is in today for a professional business meeting, and Patch is on IT duty. Normally all the extra arms mean he's great with computers, but today his body seems like it's fighting against him, leading to one heck of a first impression to say the least.

(Taken!) 2-5P Excitable Friend: After pleading with his boss to go home early, Patch is finally allowed to head home, planning to relax before getting ready for the dinner party tonight... Only to be met by his overly excitable friend along the way, who insists on dragging him to the mall to visit a new outlet clothes store! Unable to talk them out of it, Patch reluctantly agrees. He wasn't planning to try anything on himself, but by the end, one could say he'd tried on half the store... Not exactly on purpose, though!

(Taken!) 1-3P Supermarket Clerk: Finally having a bit of normalcy to his day, Patch is just trying to carefully check out with his groceries, when an unexpected catastrophe strikes in the produce isle! Or at least what WAS the produce isle...

Unlimited slots!) 8+P Dinner Party: At the end of his long and eventful day, Patch finally makes it to the dinner party with his friends, taking place atop a scenic plateau overlooking the coastline, as he also finally discovers what's been going wrong all along! Things might also get naughty after dinner with some of Patch's pals~ Note: This is an optional bonus for folks who also sign up to another slot in the comic. Additionally, the more folks who take this slot the cheaper it'll be for everyone!

Q: What is it?

A: A bunch of asteroids that have clumped together into the vague shape of a sphere, later named by tiny fuzzy creatures as 'Earth', naively thinking they somehow owned it.

Q: No, but seriously, what is it?

A: Oliver is a near-future sci-fi universe, set in Oliver, Georgia on the planet Earth, in an alternate universe where the planet is inhabited by talking animals, rather than humans. Most things about Earth remain the same, however a few things have changed, to take into account different species sizes, for example. (Though the variation there is only from around 3' to 7', with 10' or so max, so not too difficult to deal with, compared to some planets) The general atmosphere and theme could be described Zootopia-esque (though it's creation predates Zootopia) with a whole bunch of Pokemon Mystery Dungeon mixed in~

Q: What does the Oliver universe Earth have, in terms of Sci-Fi tech?

A: By it's nature, near-future can be pretty strict as far as sci-fi goes. I'd say Oliver is about in the middle of the strictness spectrum. Technically, the universe allows nearly anything due to the existence of other planets, alien races, gods/goddesses, etc. However, Earth itself is limited to more nearby technological advancements, such as rudimentary self-driving cars and basic laser weapons.

Here are a few limitations on various types of tech on Earth:

Space Travel: Expensive & Slow; Just starting to get commercial
Aliens: Occasionally; Not really known about widely
Teleport Pads: Military/government only; Early prototypes
Laser Weapons: Rare & Expensive; Only prototypes
Self-Driving: Experimental test vehicles only; Making progress
Hover Cars: Yes; Expensive & Just barely commercially viable
AI & Robots: Early & Making progress; AI Rights debate ongoing
ASIs: Isolated military/corporate prototypes; Risk of a singularity?
Smart Homes: Rare & Expensive; Making progress
Psychic Powers: Only (Weakened) Psychic Pokemon or Aliens
Magic / Potions: Only what's found in Pokemon, or from Aliens

Q: What's the difference between Semi-Feral and Semi-Anthro?

A: The Oliver universe is home to many different kinds of intelligent furred life, from small, feral quadrupeds to 6' tall anthros! These are broken into four categories. Feral, Semi-Feral, Semi-Anthro, and Anthro.

Starting off, Intelligent Ferals are (typically quadrupedal) animals that are near identical to their non-intelligent variants (aside from a size difference, typically ranging from 4" to 10", bringing them closer to average height of Semi-Ferals and Anthros), and are the rarest form of intelligent life on the planet, making up a roughly even distribution of 0.8% of the world population, which makes them just common enough that they are accommodated to at least a small extent in many, though hardly all places.

Semi-Ferals are actually quite common, making up the majority of the planet at 43% of the world population. However that distribution is not perfectly even, as they are more common in natural or rural areas and smaller towns, whereas Anthros are marginally more common in larger cities. Semi-Ferals have feral, digitrade feet and are generally chubbier, with large leg muscles that place them closer to the ground, on average between 3'9" and 4'8", though this can vary quite a bit depending on species. While they prefer to walk on their hind legs, they seem to be able to walk on all fours rather well, though not as well as a Feral. Semi-Ferals cannot wear pants, though often wear functional clothing articles, such as sweaters or coats. There are numerous As Seen On TV products available to help strap their smartphones to their adorable tiny bodies, and accessibility stools and secondary door handles for bipeds as short as 3'4" are legally required in most businesses.

Semi-Anthros are fairly common, though less so than Semi-Ferals or Anthros, finding themselves at 22% of the world population. Semi-Anthros are effectively a blend between Semi-Feral and Anthro, possessing digitrade legs, though with a stance closer to that of an Anthro, and having an average height of 4'6" to 5'6". Note however that the differentiating factor between Semi-Ferals and Semi-Anthros is not their height range, but rather their stance and foot-shape.

Finally, Anthros are the second most common behind Semi-Ferals, at approximately 34% of the world population. They are fully anthropomorphic animals, having plantigrade feet and typically appearing more muscular than Semi-Anthros. They generally stand between 5'0" and 5'8", and often wear pants, though not all are legally required to.

Q: What are the rules for nudity in Oliver?

A: They're rather loose in a beach town like Oliver, but even in the US as a whole, nudity is generally allowed. Granted, in larger cities, there is a social stigma against not wearing a suit everywhere, and many business have a dress code, particularly for employees. Ferals and semi-ferals are of course more frequently allowed not to wear shirts, and always allowed not to wear pants (pants for either are tough to find too, especially due to the much wider variety of shapes and sizes needed to accommodate them), while semi-anthros and anthros are given looks and sometimes even kicked out and told "No shirt, No shoes, No service!" if they don't.

However, there's an exception to this legality of nudity. Those without a sheath or slit (or any other form of retractable genitalia) must wear pants in public at all times, as otherwise they'd be arrested for indecent exposure! So, a sheath-less semi-feral would basically be screwed. Fortunately, that's not really a common thing, as only more anthro-leaning beings sometimes lack sheaths or slits.

Q: Why do you have like 5 shapeshifters when they're supposed to be ultra-rare?

A: IDK. Because I can, that's why. Besides, they're all different, in terms of capabilities. Mia is the most powerful of the group, being able to split, and change colors and textures.

Q: Why are there Pokemon and no trainers?

A: Because I like them~ _{Also, training is morally wrong because Pokemon, even in the main-series universe, are clearly intelligent. Guess they Nintendidn't think too far about that one.} Oliver universe Pokemon act as simply another species, and can be hybridized, even with non-Pokemon. Evolution still occurs, however it happens more slowly, over the course of months or even years. Larger Pokemon are less common and/or may be shortened in height slightly, and legendaries are of course very rare. On top of that, moves, abilities, and psychic powers are weakened somewhat, to bring them down a bit to a non-planet-destroying level, at least.

In addition, the rules for general battle are different, freeform and somewhat resembling the PMD system, and non-Pokemon can participate. However, official tournaments are more turn-based and a blend of PMD and PKMN rules. Most moves still exist, but it's easier for them to just fight freeform using their abilities.
