It's been a while since I was really active here. Trying to catch up on submissions is a bit of an Oof, but I'll get there! In other news, I wanted to promote some things.

General | Posted 5 years agoOkay. My work tablet isn't working because the screen is busted, and my old Galileo is also not compatible with my art program and literally isnt picking up the stylus being used.
Until I can afford to replace it, I'm gonna be focusing on videos and streaming games.
All commissions are on pause until I can replace my broken equipment. I apologize to those whose commissions are overdue already. I hope you can forgive me.

We have revamped the Patreon completely. Now, the minimum tier you need to access all content is the Pyrite tier, ad all other tiers are entirely gratuity, and based on what you wish to give me, rather than you paying for the potential to get something.
This was done due to a fear of not producing enough content for my Patreon, and wanting to make sure you don;t feel pressured to give me more than you can. In addition, the commission rewards have been removed. I need to limit how many commissions I take so I don't get so behind.
Those who are awaiting their previous patron commissions from before this change WILL STILL RECEIVE THEM.
I am making these changes for my own mental health so please be respectful of this choice.

General | Posted 5 years agoHey, I'm financially struggling. Organizing has kept me from working a lot, and I'm still in medical debt from a cancer scare that turned out to be an infectious abscess earlier this year.
In addition to this, there has been no legal resolution to the case against the scam artist that took my life's savings.
I'm barely floating by.

My friend Eliyora, AKA Kat Hawkins, is getting married next summer. I have 8 months to save up for this wedding. Which means I NEED YOUR HELP!!!
In order to afford the trip to Fort Wayne (and bring Damian with me), I need between $2k and $2500.

Health Update
General | Posted 7 years agoOkay so, as many of you know I was in the hospital earlier this week. I have been in incredible pain and have been very sick.
For a while I thought it was just more of my usual problems, but my father in law recognized it as symptoms of gallbladder failure. Turns out I had gallstones and an infection. I was in the ER for about eight hours, and am on pills to help the infection heal and the stones go away.
The pain in my back and abdomen has only exacerbated the pain in my leg. Walking is a nightmare. I tried some painkillers I was prescribed, but I was allergic to them, so I'm stuck taking Aleve. It doesn't do much.
I'm going to live but I'm in the worst pain I've had in a while. It feels about as bad as the fall that fucked up my leg in the first place.
I might start using a handmedown wheelchair. Used to belong to Dam's mother. We're gonna look for it in the garage. For now, I have my walker.
I hope to bring good news soon.

Ramblings (Warning, very personal)
General | Posted 7 years agoI eel like I'm floating inside my own head sometimes. Like I'm me but not me. It's like my body is an action figure being controlled by a seven year old and I'm a phantom trapped inside it or something. I think it's dissociating but maybe not. I dunno.
Dam's car is still damaged. AC barely works. Getting in and out hurts my bad leg.
I get stares when I go out with my walker. I hate it. I wanna stay home forever.
The heat waves destroyed my packer and I had to throw it away. My dysphoria has been hell since.
So many of my friends are in really bad places. I wish I had enough money to help them all. I wish I could like.. rob a bank or sell a company idea, or something where I could make enough cash to actually make a difference.
I don't know why I tell you guys this stuff. Are any of you actually invested in my personal life? It feels like I'm just shouting in a park at 4 am and hoping someone in the dorms across the street hears me and tries to help or something.

Gaslighting, Falsehoods, and Abuse.
General | Posted 8 years agoIf an abuse victim tells you that something you've said is gaslighting?
Listen to them.
I had a recent discussion with someone who very openly told abuse victims that anger is poisonous. Any abuse survivor who reads that knows why that is a falsehood.
The most popular gaslighting phrases are "You're just overacting," "Anger is poisonous," and "Don't fight hate with more hate". When we tell victims of abuse these things, we are telling them that the abuse they endured doesn't really matter. That their outrage is bad.
But that is a blatant falsehood.
Feelings are neither good nor bad. It is our ACTIONS based on those feelings that are good or bad. Feeling angry and being unable to forgive your abuser isn't bad. In fact, most rape survivors and abuse victims go their whole lives never forgiving their abusers.
What IS important, however, is to identify the anger, analyze it, accept it, and work towards achieving CLOSURE. Closure can be achieved in many ways. Therapy, seeking justice, seeking revenge, cutting out the abuser from ones' life... But suppressing ones' anger in order to force forgiveness does not bring closer. Instead it worsens one's psychosis, often driving victims to self harm.
Useless platitudes about how bad feelings are help absolutely noone. I don't care if outrage makes you uncomfortable, listen to the outrage of others and learn from it.
So if someone comes to you and says "Hey, what you said is a known abuse tactic, maybe be more careful", don't strawman, don't rewrite their arguments. Just listen.

Hi everyone!! I hope all of you had/are having an awesome holiday season. I hope you all got what you wanted, and got to have a good time!!
My holidays have been crazy. I came out as trans to Damian's family, I cut my mother out of my life for good, and started taking medication for my health issues. I found out that I have Diabetes and am getting treatment. Overall the holidays were stressful, but I had such a great time spending the past few weeks with my loved ones. My and Damian's 2 year anniversary was yesterday, and things have never been better. I love him so much, and the time we spent together yesterday was so romantic and incredible. Things only get better with time <3.
Anyway, that's all I really had to say. I hope your holidays were awesome!!

Holiday party coming up...
General | Posted 8 years agoI'm so anxious to meet the rest of my partner's family. Do they know about me? Will they know I'm queer? Should I be open about it or keep quiet to keep them from bullying my partner?
I'm gonna be misgendered the whole time probably, and I kinda wanna cry.
I just don't know how to approach this. That's the thing about not passing as enby. There really isn't a set way to be nonbinary, so no matter how I dress i'll be misgendered, and that's just anxiety in a bag. I'll be sneaking my THC vape into the party anyway, because this is just obviously gonna be insane. I just.. I wish I didn't have to correct everyone, yanno?
