lol, but seriously, I really am 23 today. got some MAJOR cash from my grandmother (I cried a little; it's for me to pursue my dream of being a performer/actor), two beautiful cards, a sweet gift certificate to TitleBoxing.com (yay MMA gear!), and I'm goin out tonight to eat dinner with my mothr and chill at karaoke with some friends.

my father told me he was proud of me...it's not like he hasn't said it before, but to hear it again with the depth of meaning he had in his voice...today's been pretty awesome.

Back home from working in PA all summer!

It was a hell of a few months: met a lot of awesome people, had a lot of fun teaching/hanging out/playing with kids, got back into some decent shape (dropped back down to almost 205!), and learned a little more about myself thanks to some interesting discussion with several people. All in all, I'm glad I went back this summer, but I think I'll be taking next summer off due to various conflicts with performances and hopefully AC '11, heh.

So...yeah! Right now I'm gearing up for my first-ever paid singing gig, which I'm MORE than excited about! I find it funny, though, that it's at Fredricksburg Pride XD

I'm gonna get assaulted by gay men, I just know it *clenches his asscheeks* >_<

lol, but seriously, it's gonna be a fun time. My girlfriend and I will be co-MC'ing the event, so it'll be great! I know that NY Furs are gonna be coming through to my little slice of NY (Flushing, Queens) in September, so I'm real jazzed about that! I miss you guys; it'll be great to see everyone again!

Life's gonna be kinda crazy come the fall...I'm just out of school and heading out into the real world, so it's a little intimidating. I'm planning on getting a lot of auditions in before starting grad school (that is, if nothing happens with the auditions *crosses fingers*). I'm also getting my certification as a personal trainer, so I'll have that up my sleeve (side note: if anyone's lookin for a little fitness advice, feel free to hit me up ^_^).

Orientation started a few days ago; tons of awesome people here and it's lookin like it's gonna be a great summer!

couple notes:

-I have VERY limited internet access. I'll be hopping online to check my email/FA every so often, but I won't be able to stick around for long most of the time (which sucks, cuz there's some KICKASS artwork in my inbox that I can't look at cuz it's NSFW T_T)

-I have next to no cell phone access most of the time, which means that I won't be able to talk/text people pretty much for the whole summer, save my days off (and even then, sporadically)

- Broadway Revue later on this month; once I get tickets and final dates/times, I'll definitely be extending the invite to anyone who wants to come. I don't know how much the tickets will cost, but there's no way they'll be that pricey.

- Cruise to the Carribean in late May-early June, which will be fucking AWESOME

- Working at summer camp from June 9 to August 16; I might be back in the city for a few days during the summer, but I have no way of knowing when.

AC '10 is a no go; too much stuff going on during the summer, and if I have to choose between a convention and my future as a performer, you can guess which one I'm going to go with.

The plan is to order at LEAST a partial suit, if not a full suit, to have by FurFright/FA:U '11/AC '11, and to make it to at least ONE of those cons, most likely FurFright. I'll have the cash by then after I'm done with some necessary spending (bike repairs, new laptop, etc etc).

Just wanted to throw that out there so that I could see it; it's easier for me to plan if I write things down. It's also nice to have this up for people who wonder where the fuck I disappear to by the time June rolls around, LOL XD
