Slots are going to be on a QUEUE basis which can be tracked on my Trello, so I'm going to leave them open for as long as I feel comfortable.
Types: Coloured spotart with minimal/no bg, or black and white illustrations with some background.

These stand alone character illustrations are supplied in fullsize and smaller internet-friendly sized .png or .jpg Alternates versions may or may not incur additional charges depending on the required work. These include a character with no or very minimal shading on a white or solid colour background. Transparent backgrounds can be supplied on request. In the case of black and white illustrations the pose/design may be somewhat stylised and levels of solid black/white/stippling will vary with the concept.
Normal Characters:
Nude or normal levels of clothing, includes cyborgs with one to two cyborg limbs, includes mobility aids.
£100 for one character
+£100 per additional characters
+£50 for design work**
Complex Characters
Fully robotic characters or characters with extra complex clothing or armour
£150 for one character
+£150 per additional characters of the same complexity
** Design Work: a process in which I help you develop a character entirely from scratch, or based on your rough ideas and notes, this involves more iterations, thumbnails, specific design element development and WIP stages with which to provide feedback.
NOTE: inclusion of my own characters in the piece may be discounted according to character.

New Job, New Digs, New Desk (boo)
Posted 3 months agoQuick update on where I'm at!
I've got a new job, but had to move, this has it's pros and cons, and the major con is that I couldn't bring my big sit/stand desk, at least not yet, so for the foreseeable future I'm stuck with a little argos desk that is slightly too short for comfortably drawing at.
I'll probably be looking at taking on more spotart comms from next week, but I'll probably have to go carefully to not damage my shoulder =X
Unfortunately this also means I probably won't be producing much of my OWN art for a while, so my backlog of 'things to post' might end up suffering, and more importantly, my Subscribestar might run slow for a while =/ so I don't blame anyone who's like... man I'm not getting any bang for my buck... but I hope if you'll leave you'll consider returning one day, because it means the world to me to have that extra income--especially right now, this month has been Expensive OTL

Half Marathon Fundraiser (sketches available!)
Posted a year agoHey all my ex-boss is doing a half marathon to raise money for the Cornwall Wildlife Trust, specifically for our temperate rainforests, please check it out if you have anything to spare and forward it on to anyone who might be interested. These are amazing places and gravely under threat from development and neglect, I've been lucky enough to spend the last year working in some small pockets and they've both inspired my new career direction and my artwork.

I won't be formally reopening commission slots for a while as I can not take any on in batches at this time, and don't know when I will be able to again.
Notes:
I don't take payment in advance, only when I get to your slot.
People who've paid get my limited time and attention, so I do appologise if you're left waiting for a message response, I'm struggling with having enough productive hours in the day.
You're not 'locked in' just because you're on the waitlist, if I get to you and something has come up and you no longer want/can afford/etc the slot, you can drop out or be postponed.

Posted 2 years agoJust a little update/vent journal thing, because my health issues seem to be spiking recently. Part of this is the heat, I always forget how much I struggle the Moment it gets even vaguely warm here, my office gets the most sun and it's HUMID. My neck issues seem to be getting worse, and by extension the chronic fatigue and migraines, I'm trying to make an apt with my Dr but I'm pretty sure anyone in the UK right now know's how well that's likely to be going. I can't even Attempt until next monday, so fingers crossed... I'm just exhausted, nauseated, can't see straight and in general feeling gross. Nothing horrendous yet but just a constant low level malaise I could really do without. There's the usual house-hold stress issues too, I could really use being alone and in peace, but no such luck.
And my screen tablet pen died and I'm having trouble getting a replacement so that's causing problems too, though I can still draw it's slowing me right down even when I can stand to be sitting at the PC.
Feeling very low about everything right now honestly, and getting back out of it feels like it's getting harder by the day =/

On Going Commission Openings
Posted 2 years agoFirstly: thank you to everyone who's signed up for a commission this week, I know everyone is in a rougher place right now and I appreciate it Immensely.
As my long term followers know, I usually open and close commission slots intermittently, but right now they're going to be open in an on-going fashion, presuming I can keep up, and I'll also consider any commissions that fall outside of my usual two types, such as line art, black and white, ref sheets etc... So while I'll be posting official reminders on my telegram occationally for people who don't follow my FA, feel free to DM me if you're interested in a commission slot.
Now for the personal life stuff:
So my last full time job contract came to a close in March, and I've just gotten home from a holiday with my SO. I've been debating for some time how to handle Work, what I want to do etc... There's been a few things weighing on me in aviation, but one of the biggest ones is my health in a 12hour shift world, frankly, I can't keep it up long, I've stuggled with some kind of CF for a long time and spent a good portion of this winter sick with various infections I simply couldn't fight off like I normally would. And that was on a fairly easy shift pattern! I'm hoping to re-train into wildlife/ecological restoration, but that means basically starting from scratch, and to rub salt into the wound, most long-form courses run at the same time as the bulk of the maint work is done in aviation, so it's not going to be super easy to fund study by working winters. I had hoped to give this summer a real go at funding myself through my artwork alone, and I'm still going to try, but of course I wasn't able to anticipate just how economically rough things were going to start getting for so many people.
My interests, passions and what the world I live in values and needs never seem to line up, and <guestures at the whole of the UK> things kind of stink right now, but frankly if I can't keep up with the expected work ethic of the aviation sector in the UK I doubt I'd survive a week in the US -- my only out, as that's where my partner lives. So I'm going to just have to make the best of it while I can, and hopefully get some experience in what I'd like to retrain in in the mean time.
If I go on any longer I'm going to start rambling, so I'll leave it there.
Just know how much I appreciate everyone who ever has, is thinking about, or may one day, buy my artwork.

Commission Alert Telegram / Gen. Info

Hey guys, I've decided to move my commission alerts to Telegram to try and make them more accessable to people not on FA, I will also be giving priority alerts to my SubscribeStar. This is a new system for me so expect mix ups =V but from here on out:

Posted 2 years agoSo I think my contract just came to an end sooner than I expected, not particularly beaten up over that, going into work tomorrow to hand in last time sheet and confirm with them that they know about it (you never know) so I'll hold off for a hot second, but it looks like I might have more comms slots opening soon so keep an eye out.

Commissions into this year (general interest enquiry)
Posted 2 years agoSo I'm still slowly working through my waitlist, but once that's done and out the way, I was thinking of doing some... Loosely themed commissions this year, with the goal of pushing myself to better capture a theme or specific mood etc... Might be "loss" or "red" or "forehead kiss". I'm not focused enough to just do colours (I will do that one day. But not this day.) Not sure how I'll handle this just yet. Maybe make a list concepts/words and make a couple of slots available at a time specifically for those themes. Maybe open Artist Choice and pick the theme that appeals most. Nsfw or sfw would be secondary to the theme so I'm not writing either out. But for instance if you grabbed the "forehead kiss" theme and wanted your characters boning, the focus would be on the smooch not the fuckery.

I won't be doing edits, so bare in mind I might experiment a bit with style and level of detail etc... let me know if there's any detail that's a 'must have' like special ear rings, scars etc... and I'll try to include them, but otherwise I'm just looking for characters to play with.

Furries... with pets?

Is a dog-anthro having a pet dog the equivalent of a human with a monkey as a pet? Distantly related thru a common ancestor? or is it just 100% Weird.
Do anthros in your character's world just never have pets?
Or do they have entirely different species that they've domesticated, did a world of cat anthros only domesticate rats for pets P=

Due to work pressure I don't feel comfortable taking on more than one comm at a time right now, so to avoid unnecessary journals I'm opening a waitlist, and will be contacting people one at a time on it.
I will be leaving it open for a couple of hours, or until I feel comfortable with the number of people on it.
There is no obligation to remain on the waitlist or to accept the slot when your name comes up.
