2021: Overdue and Underwhelmed
General | Posted 4 years ago"OBZ, are you even still alive?"
I sure am. Still alive, still lurking, and with not nearly enough art.
Life & Living Arrangements
12 Years of active duty Air Force Service. Time really does seem to go by as a blur the longer you do something. On the downhill slope towards a retirement paycheck. I supervise ultra-cleanroom laboratory work now. It is switching to civilian run soon so I'll soon be looking for a new job. Or at least so I've been told a year later with only +1 civilian.
I currently rent on Patrick Space Force Base on my own. Nothing glamorous, have a tidy chunk of change saved away from the traveling Japan job. Pretty comfortable living, picked up some nice appliances, built a new PC to play in glorious 4K, just doing the bachelor thing..
Gaming
PC gaming is my primary gaming outlet. I pick up a Nintendo Switch when select games come out or I travel. Pretty simple.
My current rig:
Specs:
AMD Ryzen 9 3950X @ 3.5 GHz
ASUS ROG Crosshair VIII Hero
G.Skill Trident Z Neo x 32 GB @ 3600 MHz
Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080Ti
Samsung 970 Evo NVMe x 1 TB
Samsung 860 QVO SSD x 2 TB
Windows 10
VR: Vive Pro V1 - Also have full body tracking, and Index controllers

General | Posted 7 years agoTime for the annual-ish update of what I'm doing and where I am. Ready, set....
Life & Living Arrangements
10 years. I am approaching the 10 year mark on my career in the US Air Force. It's been a wild decade of living and learning to be a functional adult. All of which will be punctuated with my time here in Tokyo, Japan, of all places... I went from spending all my time rooted largely in one place, to moving to another country, traveling internationally on a nearly monthly basis!
Just as I've begun feeling comfortable living in such a massive city, it already appears my tour here is coming to an end. I will miss Japan dearly. And the place I'm slated to go next is none other than the familiar Florida I'd just left. I'm moving back to the Melbourne, Florida area later this year!
Gaming
I primarily PC game in recent times. By no means does this mean I avoid consoles, however. I play a hefty amount of Nintendo Switch and PS4 as well.
My current rig:
Specs:
Core i7 6700k @ 4.4 GHz
ROG Maximus VIII Hero Mobo
Kingston HyperX Savage 16GB DDR4 RAM @ 2400 MHz
NVidia GTX 2080Ti
1TB+ SSD/2TB HDD
Win7 Forever
Just a handy note for anyone skimming through titles I have recently played, if I didn't specify a username it is OrangeBlueZ, such as with most the titles on Steam.
Some titles I frequently play as of this time:
Elder Scrolls Online
Yes, I caved in the face of a hunger for lore and ES goodness, and so I jumped off the ESO hate train to give it a firsthand look. If you play solely for Skyrim levels of immersion, you might be disappointed, but go in with low expectations and you might find yourself pleasantly surprised. I initially went in looking to get into black marsh and check out my species' homeland, and found myself craving more by the end of it. Now I'm loose all over Tamriel, seeing all sorts of exotic locations while having a great time adventuring and socializing with awesome people in the process. I primarily play nowadays for the deep and strategic PvP scene.
The game is Buy2play, and with a sub you have access to any and all otherwise purchasable DLC zones for the subscription period. Any of you who were dubious by the initial reception and find yourself in the same place as I was, spend a few bucks and give it a shot. You might find yourself surprised with everything the game has to offer. Summerset Island and Vardenfell were major DLC chapters with an ES game's worth of story each, and we have more Khajiit and dragons coming right around the corner with the upcoming Elsweyr DLC this summer!
Monster Hunter World
Anyone who knows me knows I love Monster Hunter just as much as Elder Scrolls, and I have played basically entry of the series to date. Monster Hunter World is THE game to get if you've ever liked the past games or have been looking into trying it for the first time! Capcom has done an outstanding job giving the game the level of graphical and mechanical polish it needed to break out of the Japanese Audience and take off as a smash hit worldwide. I have played the game since launch extensively on the Playstation 4 and in addition have since slayed my way to the top of the PC food chain as well! If you ever want a seasoned hunting vet or someone to help show a fledgling hunter the ropes, I am your guy! PSN/Steam: OrangeBlueZ
Iceborne is coming later this year, G-rank and tons of new content await! Max hype!!
GreatSword Master Race representing >:3
Warframe
Warframe was a game I was dubious on joining years ago, but has since continued to pull me back whenever there are major content drops. It is a third person co-op shooter with loot and randomly generated levels with a wide variety of gamemodes and playstyles. Half the game is based around extremely robust character and weapon customization, from aesthetics to modifying virtually any aspect of your gear and weapons. To me is a free-to-play Destiny-esque loot grindy shooter but with so much more content. The devs are active with the community and significant content additions happen regularly, as often as weekly. The game is absolutely gorgeous on full graphics, I might add!
I go by Lizard_Magic there, as OrangeBlueZ was taken in a rare turn of events.
Sekiro
Shinobi dark souls. I still have yet to beat it with the brutal, uncompromising difficulty that was promised of a FromSoftware game. It hurts so good! Seriously though, this game features some of the greatest swordplay dynamics of any game ever made.
Risk of Rain 2
Roguelike Survival Shooter with randomized loot, enemies, and nearly endless replayability! This game is a 3D adaptation to its 2D predecessor! It only started early access a few days ago, but is incredibly smooth and nearly as addicting for as early and incomplete as it is thus far! Play it with friends!
VR - HTC Vive Pro
VRCHAT
Yeah, just like many others I showed up among the meme boom over the holidays to satisfy my curiosity. Having a VR headset improved the experience considerably. Now with privacy and friends only instances the fervor has died down quite a bit. I managed to make several friends within the furry and anime communities that thrive there. It feels, well, a lot like Second Life, only with no transactions to make within game. The engine feels familiar, but the models, scaling, and built in mechanics feel fresher. Everything is community generated, and its all free. You don't even need VR to play it! I will add that being able to headpat cute anime girls and hug waifus and furries alike in the realm of VR is magical~! Desktop users are missing out!
BeatSaber
Lightsabers, slashing to music, guitar hero style? Mods? Custom Tracks? It's great! Nuff said!
GORN/Sword & Sorcery
Ultra-violent gladiatorial arena combat sandboxes? Check and check!
SUPERHOT VR
SUPER. HOT. Time only moves when you do! A staple for VR parties and matrix enthusiasts everywhere.
TO THE TOP
Ridiculous climbing simulator with absolutely insane amounts of creativity and content. Competitive modes. Ever want to get or defeat vertigo? This is the game to do it!

2018: Where am I again?
General | Posted 8 years agoTime for the annual-ish update of what I'm doing and where I am. Ready, set....
Life & Living Arrangements
Oh man, 9 years in the Air Force is already sneaking up on me. My time in Florida is already on the horizon behind me as I live my life in another country, off the base and among a whole different group of people. In case anyone is unaware at this point, I relocated out to Tokyo, Japan back last July. That's right! This lizard is living it up in the land of the rising sun! I now work a new, unique, exciting new job as a traveling field engineer, assisting with on-site technical support for embassies throughout most of southeast Asia/Oceania! For someone who has lived his entire life inside the continental states, this is a new, daunting experience. It is so rewarding though! Frequent travel to foreign countries for short periods of time on the Government's dime? Hell yes!
I have settled in fairly well at this point, and feel largely functional despite the language barrier. Definitely have to work on improving my Japanese so I can really get involved. I want to make friends out here~!
On the furry front, I continue to try to commission artwork sporadically. I am also looking into various conventions, particularly the larger ones in Australia and here in Tokyo. Feel free to hit me up if you have any info or are looking for potential roommates at these!

Some titles I frequently play as of this time:
Elder Scrolls Online
Yes, I caved in the face of a hunger for lore and ES goodness, and so I jumped off the ESO hate train to give it a firsthand look. It is without a doubt a generic MMO theme park painted in Elder Scrolls colors, and yet, it has done a fantastic job of actually giving me what I am looking for. If you play solely for immersion, you might be disappointed, but go in with low expectations and you might find yourself surprised. I initially went in looking to get into black marsh and check out my species' homeland, and found myself craving more by the end of it. Overwatch
I have recently started a return to Overwatch upon the release of the latest new hero and have found myself enthralled with the polished FPS once more. I dont think there's much to say that even casual gamers dont know; It's Blizzard, it's good! BattleTag - OrangeBlueZ#1197
Dauntless
I feel it necessary to bring attention to this Western developed Monster Hunter-esque title. The game is presently in open beta and is advertised as free to play. Though eclipsed by the recent release of MH World, I remain excited to see something that features the same core gameplay style of Monster Hunter and combining it with modern PC fidelity and tight controls. I can say with confidence that this is a game worth keeping an eye on.

General | Posted 8 years agoLazy lizard needs to put something more up to date in regards to life status. Just a little over a year per journal...
Living Arrangements
I have just hit my 8 year mark in the Active Duty Air Force, and I have been stationed in sunny Florida for the vast majority of that time. Things are about to change however, big news: I am about to move overseas, being stationed in Japan. I am incredibly excited to get in on that whole 'See the world' bit the military is so fond of touting about. I have only positive thoughts on the culture and media outside the base gates, (Anime, Monster Hunter, etc.) and so I am anticipating adventures to be had!
I am presently preparing to depart at the end of June. My home is packed up and ready to go.
On the furry front, I have been trying to commission artwork sporadically, cutting down on the pace until my new living arrangements are established. This also means I am unlikely to attend any conventions this year, unfortunately...

You might find yourself surprised with everything the game has to offer. Vvardenfell (Morrowind) DLC just released at the time of this post; It is glorious and nostalgia inducing to anyone familiar with the older title.
World Of Tanks
I still play World of Tanks, almost exclusively in pub games with fur friends. Currently part of furry clan [FURST]. I am a jack-of-all-trades and play every tier up to tier 10 TD/Artillery, and greatly enjoy rolling platoons with friends.
If you're ever on, add OrangeBlueZ and we can play together sometime!
World of Warships
I enjoy some warships from time to time, and the game is gorgeous. It is definitely more slow paced and requires a good deal more forethought compared to WoT. I have a variety of premium and non-premium ships for whatever suits my fancy whenever I'm on.
DOTA 2/League of Legends
The MOBA scene has been something I've more or less ignored for the more infamous elements of toxic community that the genre is known for fostering. At the guidance and introduction of some of my better friends I have given it a shot. I enjoy aspects of both games regardless of my relatively low skill at this time and continue to hone my abilities. [DOTA has my steam name, OrangeblueZ] [My LoL summoner name is Yzon]
Dauntless
I feel it necessary to bring attention to this Western developed Monster Hunter-esque title. The game is presently in Closed Alpha (which I am currently participating in) and will soon be transitioning to an open Beta. The game is advertised as free to play. I am excited to see something that features the same core gameplay style of Monster Hunter and combining it with modern PC fidelity and tight controls. I can say with confidence that this is a game worth keeping an eye on.
Monster Hunter Generations:
I ended up buying the 3DS to play this game, and have no regrets. It expands on the gameplay and monster hunter universe in fantastic new ways. Yet this remains the same core game that I love. I love it so much that I bought a second 3DS just to introduce friends to the game with its signature co-op hunting experience.
GreatSword Master Race representing >:3
Special word out to those Hunters; Monster hunter Double Cross is on the horizon; And it will be cross compatible on the 3DS and Nintendo Switch. It's going to be a must-buy~!

Special word out to those Hunters; Monster hunter Double Cross is on the horizon; And it will be cross compatible on the 3DS and Nintendo Switch. It's going to be a must-buy~!
MEGAPLEX: Anyone looking for a room?
General | Posted 9 years agoGreetings all!
I am attending Megaplex this year, staying at the Springhill Suites.
Putting out word that I booked a 2 bed room with a third pullout sofa bed. Unfortunately the person who I had originally planned to split the room was unable to attend at the last minute and as such I am presently the only one in the room.
I am looking for anyone who wants to split the cost of $109 a night. I am chill and plan on using the room to crash for the night, NOT party. If you are an artist I may be willing to allow you to stay in exchange for art at my discretion.
If interested send me a note. If you know anyone who may be looking for this I would appreciate spreading the word.

Need a quality artist?
General | Posted 9 years agoSo in an unusual twist I thought it would be worthwhile to give a shout-out for anyone looking for an artist to commission.
tazoloco is trying her hand at commissioning, and doing so at absurdly low rates! Check out her price sheet - http://www.furaffinity.net/view/20010403/
Her gallery has a fair bit to look at for examples of the kind of quality you can expect. I had a very pleasant experience commissioning her and cannot recommend her enough!

2016: The Re-Lizarding
General | Posted 9 years agoOh dear, it appears I am overdue on another annual status update Journal...
Living Arrangements
I still am Active Duty Air Force, still loving in housing on base. I live with another furry whom I work with.
I am presently working 8 hour night shifts 4 days a week. While this may complicate getting out on a regular basis, I still plan on looking out for opportunities to hang out with my local Brevard furs.
The fresh artwork has been churning out at a relatively steady pace, and more is on the way. I am open to collaboration with any who may be interested.
AC 2016
I had intended to go to AC this year but decided to cancel my plans due to lack of interest on my part. I primarily go to cons to hang out with people I otherwise never get to see, and this year enough have confirmed they will not be attending. Next year may happen though!
Megaplex 2016
Insteeeead, I plan on going to Megaplex here in Orlando. Already have the hotel reservation and pre-registration done, and should be significantly cheaper than AC tends to be! I have the bonus of being able to drive to and around the con, and a much better chance of seeing local peeps. Should be fun!
Gaming
I recently went and upgraded my entire rig once again. Almost everything I have now is top-of-the-line flagship components and PC gaming has never been better! To make things even more excellent, I even went ahead and purchased the Vive - Yes, I'm VR gaming as well! Looking forward to seeing a variety of titles that have yet to come out.
Specs:
Core i7 6700k @ 4.4 GHz
ROG Maximus VIII Hero Mobo
Kingston HyperX Savage 16GB DDR4 RAM @ 2400 MHz
NVidia 980GTX Superclocked
1TB+ SSD/2TB HDD
Win7 Forever
Just a handy note for anyone skimming through titles I have recently played, if I didn't specify a username it is OrangeBlueZ, such as with most the titles on Steam.
Some titles I frequently play as of this time:
Warframe
Warframe was a game I was dubious on joining but has since sucked me in. It is a third person co-op shooter with loot and randomly generated levels with a wide variety of gamemodes and playstyles. To me is a free-to-play Destiny-esque loot grindy shooter to has so much more content. The devs are active with the community and significant content additions happen regularly, as often as weekly. The game is gorgeous on full graphics, I might add.
I go by Lizard_Magic there, as OrangeBlueZ was taken in a rare turn of events.
Starbound
Starbound caught me during early release on Steam, and I have been hopelessly addicted since. For those of you who are unaware, this game is a procedurally generated 2D sidescrolling creative adventure game. It hearkens to Terraria in style and gameplay, but has randomly generated worlds/creatures/weapons and a well planned out progression system, and the social/multiplayer aspects are turning out fantastically! The game is highly moddable and has an equally fantastic community that is pumping out tons of high quality mods for the game. I highly encourage any of you to take a look at it. The content and nature of the game gives it enormous replayability and mods make it practically limitless in potential, much like minecraft.
I presently manage an unofficial update support for the Argonian Race mod. I love the mod and the mod creator gave me his blessing to do as I please as he does not play the game anymore. So far, I have been maintaining compatibility with the base game but given some time I will be looking at expanding features.
Minecraft
Minecraft captured my attention way back in the early Beta and I still come back to it thanks to the stylishly retro feel and satisfying ability to get my creative juices flowing, lego style! I play on a private server and frequently visit a few public servers as well from time to time. No amount of computer upgrading will take away the charm of Minecraft.
Now I'm loose all over Tamriel, seeing all sorts of exotic locations and not having a bad time socializing with awesome people in the process. The game is Buy2play, and with a sub you can play any and all DLC zones for a month. Any of you who were dubious by the initial reception and find yourself in the same place as I was, spend a few bucks and give it a shot. You might be surprised. Dark Brotherhood is supposed to happen at the end of the month, so any of you shadowscales out there might want to get in here and see what it has to offer.
War Thunder
So many things with 'War' in the title... I play a variety of pub games and have equal interest in both the Aircraft and Tanks component. I am presently Tier 4 in the ground and air game for Germany, Russia, and the USA. I plan on giving this more time now that I have a VR headset for cockpit flight shenanigans. By now my username should have sunk in as a regular thing.
If not, add OrangeBlueZ.
PAYDAY 2
It's payday, fellas!
It's like L4D but with cops instead of zombies. Objective based co-op shooter.
Running full 4 player co-op with my fellow Argonian-bros is one of the highlights of my gaming life. And the devs just keep adding to it!
Sm4sh Bros
I own Sm4sh and love hosting game nights at my house with friends and colleagues. I have gamecube controllers and the adapters to allow for serious 8 player gaming. Between Mewtwo and my boy, Roy, good times are had when I call in the friends.
Monster Hunter 4U
I ended up buying a 3DS for this game, and have no regrets. It expands on the gameplay and monster hunter universe in fantastic new ways and yet remains the same core game that I love. I love it so much that I bought a second 3DS just to introduce friends to the game with its signature co-op.

Life updates and things, 2015 edition
General | Posted 10 years agoSo once again I feel an update on my life status is far overdue. A journal once a year (or longer) isn't that bad, right?
Despite the infrequency of my updates, I have an FA tab open basically all the time. That counts as alive, right? RIGHT~?!
Living Arrangements
My life situation hasn't changed too terribly much. I live on Patrick AFB, sharing a house on base with a furry that works in the same shop with me. His taking over for the 'old' roommate has taken a severe financial strain off of me and is a welcome change from the unhygienic, oblivious man-child who resided here before.
The military is still my career. I recently signed an extension to my enlistment for another year, and I plan on doing a full re-enlistment once I make next rank. Currently I have been adapting back to the night shift after returning from a month-long training TDY in Texas. (Advanced computer systems and networking course.)
I am presently working 8 hour night shifts 4 days a week. While this may complicate getting out on a regular basis, I still plan on looking out for opportunities to hang out with my local Brevard furs.
I have been working on getting some fresh artwork commissions as I hope is obvious. I intend to keep my commissioning schedule revolving around paydays. Keep an eye out, I may need people for any group ideas I come up with, and I would love to collaborate with any who would like to.
I am looking at doing a revamp of my profile page. A lot of information is old or outdated. If nothing else, a change in format is in order.
AC 2015

Life updates and things, 2014 edition!
General | Posted 12 years agoGreetings all! As many of you may have noticed, there hasn't been much in the way of updates in the past... several months.
Rest assured though, I am quite alive! I intend to start up on more regular updates and content soon.
First up: Currently for my life situation, I live on Patrick AFB, sharing my home with a filthy housemate whom I have come to thoroughly want to escape from. The lease expired in November, but money issues leading up to the holidays resulted in my continuing to live there up to this point. The good news is I'm going to be looking for a new place to live starting next month.
The Military is still my career and has dominated my life since I got in. I currently have been working 12 hour night shifts on a 2 week alternating schedule for nearly a year now, which has made social engagements next to impossible to schedule comfortably around. (Even though you haven't seen me lately, I still love you Brevard furs, I promise!)
I haven't had any artwork commissioned in the past several months as well. Its clear by the latest submissions that this page has stagnated. I intend to start back up on a fairly regular commissioning schedule revolving around paydays. Keep an eye out, I may need people for any group ideas I come up with, and I'll try to do the same for any of you!
I intend to get around to updating my profile page as well. The same lines have been there since around 2008 and my hobbies and priorities have certainly changed as well.
I haven't done any sort of roleplaying in any serious or lengthy amount in months - if not longer -. RPing has held little appeal and my interest is waning as far as actual character roleplay over chats and such. That being said, I am still quite interested in illustrations of scenes and I'm looking to feature Y'zon in widely branching settings. Expect my art to reflect that. Feel free to approach me with any ideas, I may just try to get some kind of collaboration going!
Speaking of hobbies, I built a brand new gaming PC back in October and have never been more involved in the PC gaming scene. I have been making my way through various titles with an emphasis on a few multiplayer titles. By all means let me know if you're ever interested in the following games, or add me on steam or anything else listed. If you dont know, ask!
Some titles I frequently play as of this time:
I've been playing the hell out of this game since release in 2012, This game's demanding specs was the catalyst to the recent computer rebuild and I have never been better. I play in a semi-competitive Outfit on Mattherson Server, primarying on NC as OBZ in United by Brotherhood [UxB]. I have characters on all factions regardless and frequently play during non-op times on the alternates.
UxB and I are going to be participating in an organized 'league' competitive scene for Planetside 2 called Community Clash, and will be featured Wednesday, 19 February in a Pre-season matchup around 9pm Eastern. Come watch us!
Starbound caught me as an early release game on Steam in December, and I have been hopelessly addicted since. For those of you who are unaware, this game is a 2D sidescrolling creative adventure game. I currently run a server frequented by several personal friends and play with a large list of 'furry friendly' modded races (Including Argonians!). I highly encourage any of you to take a look at it. As mentioned it is in the beta, but the content and nature of the game gives it enormous playability and mods make it practically limitless in potential, much like minecraft.
Minecraft captured my attention way back in the early Beta and I still come back to it thanks to the stylishly retro feel and satisfying ability to get my creative juices flowing, lego style! I play on a private server and frequrently visit a few public servers as well from time to time. No amount of computer upgrading will take away the charm of Minecraft.
I still frequently play World of Tanks, almost exclusively in pub games with fur friends. Currently part of furry clan [FURST]. I play mostly niche role tanks over heavy hitters and play every tier up to tier 10 TD/Artillery, and greatly enjoy rolling platoons with friends. If you're ever on, add OrangeBlueZ and we can play together sometime!
As a final note, I've taken up streaming on twitch, I intend to update frequently on it. Come watch sometime! - http://www.twitch.tv/orangebluez
Planetside 2I've been playing the hell out of this game since release in 2012, This game's demanding specs was the catalyst to the recent computer rebuild and I have never been better.

General | Posted 12 years ago Where are you staying?
The Westin Convention Center hotel.
What day are you getting there?
Should arrive in the afternoon of Thursday the 4th.
How are you traveling?
I'll be flying.
Who are you rooming with?
tidmatiger and
amberosine are staying with me this year.
Who will you hang out with during the convention?
I expect to be hanging out mostly with the aforementioned two, and just as excited to be hanging out with
brunalli as well.
How is the best way to find you?
I'll be wandering around. If you recognize any of us, call us out. Otherwise, leave me a message on FA and I'll see about meeting up or giving you my cell number.
Are there any panels you might be attending?
"Uncle Kage's Story Hour" "2-and-Kage charity show." . I haven't looked too much into the events just yet, but you can bet I'll be going to those for sure.
What do you look like?
I'll be the tall fellow following around our little group. Pretty average looking otherwise with no noteworthy features. May be difficult to pick out of the crowd.
Will you be suiting?
Nope!
Do you do free art?
No arts, sorry
Do you do trades?
See above.
Do you do badges?
See above. I have badges of my own, keep an eye out for them.
Do you do commissions?
Uh...no. See above on art.
What is your gender?
Definitively male
How tall are you?
6'2"
Can I talk to you?
Certainly! I'd love to talk!
Can I touch you?
Might want to talk to me first, especially if I dont know you and the nature of said touching.
How can I find you?
I'll be all over the place. Best let me know beforehand if you specifically are looking for me.
Can I visit your room?
Talk to me or the people I'm rooming with.
Can I buy you drinks?
Why yes, yes you can...
Can I give you stuff?
I love stuff.
Are you nice?
I'm probably one of the nicer people you'll meet. I'm typically a bit quiet unless spoken to directly or drunk, but dont let that put you off! It takes quite a bit of effort to annoy me, let alone hear about it.
How long are you going?
I'll be there through Monday morning of the 8th.
Do you have an artist table?
No
Will you be going to parties?
I dont know what I have time for, but depending on who I know I might end up at some.
Will you be performing?
Nope
If I see you, how should I get your attention?
Whatever needs to be done to get my attention. I should be pretty vigilant barring talking to someone else or looking at art, suiters, or such.
Where will you be most of the time during the day/s?
I'll be wandering around the convention center throughout the day, visiting all sorts of places. I'm apt to really spend time around the artist's den and auction, so that's a pretty good place to look for me.
What/where will you be eating?
No idea. Will probably be enjoying some of the nearby restaurants, but that's about as specific as I can be this early on. I'll also be participating in the Super Sponsor luncheon.
Can I come with you for food/fun/etc?
I dont see why not...
Can I take your picture?
Certainly, but I wont be suiting, so I'd imagine them to be quite boring.
What's your goal(s) for the con this year?
To have a blast and provide
with the best first Con experience ever!

General | Posted 13 years agoSo I know it's late, but happy 2013 to everyone! I figured I was long overdue to update my page with a journal entry.
My holiday season was fantastic, having spent the Christmas side of things back in Wyoming with
greenblackg and the rest of my family. Even squeezed in an afternoon with
cardotter while I was there! :D
In other late news, I have moved out of the military dorms and into an apartment! Fiiiiiiiiinally a full sized home to live in! I've since been spending most of my money to fill this house with stuff. I've had to deal with delays in getting my housing allowance up until the 15th of this month where it finally kicked in! Now I'm not broke halfway between pay periods. It should promise to allow me to be a lot more active socially. It also means another round of commissions in the next upcoming months!
I guess the only thing left is to be looking forward to spring. Not that it's really cold in Florida, but I could stand to see a little more sun and warmth. Cold lizard is a sad lizard. With any luck this year should promise to be quite eventful! I'm looking forward to it.

RMFC and other stuff!
General | Posted 13 years agoIt's been awhile and it might just be time for a journal update for what's going on in lizard land!
Last weekend I my plans to attend Megaplex unfortunately didn't work out when my ride had to back out last minute. Fortunately I had a friend who works at Disney World, salvaging that weekend with free passes in. After a night of drinking myself into a stupor around the world at Epcot's and crashing at home, I made the frankly last minute decision to go to RMFC in Denver, CO. I managed to secure the time off and make all the travel arrangements, so I'm quite happy to say I'll be hanging out there next week with
and my brother
!
In other news, I found out I just narrowly missed the Staff Sergeant Promotion Cutoff score by less than a point! :So Close: From what I was told that is damn good for a first try especially without firewall 5's for my EPRs and hardly any medals. Next time!

Congratulations. You've survived another year...
General | Posted 13 years agoSo today is the day I turn 22. Perhaps I'm making my journal just to make one and not to pull any kind of spotlight over myself. I quickly learned after moving out that birthdays became far less of a big deal (Minus the big 21).
....And yet, today I found myself rather touched by something as potentially insignificant as coming in to find my coworkers from the previous shift had left me a cake... I mean, cake is pretty much the symbol of our birthdays, but when you've lived by yourself the last 3 years you kind of stop expecting to see one. I made no effort to advertise it to the people I worked with. And yet, there it was, candles and everything... Just another reminder that people around you can really make the difference.
Another fun fact, today happens to also be my parent's wedding anniversary, so I made sure to send my regards, and hopefully
greenblackg managed to do me a solid and get my mother some flowers.
So yeah, it's my birthday, and also the end of my work week. Hooray. I'm headed out to go drinking in Melbourne with some coworkers to celebrate. To any of my fellow local furs, you're welcome to join me. You know who you are, and most of you should have my number. :P

Sex meme
General | Posted 15 years agoTag, I'm it! Well... I'm not a man to turn down a chance to prove I'm alive and well... Very alive...
1. Is there anyone on your friends list you would ever consider having sex with?
Yes, yes there is. It's called friends with benefits.
2. Sex in the morning, afternoon or night?
If you're passing up sex with someone you're attracted to, something must be very wrong with you. Or very tired. Like days awake, or had so much sex you cant move, tired.
3. What side of the bed do you sleep on?
The side closest to the wall.
4. Do you masturbate?
Occassionally.
5. How often? Lately?
Hmm, not all that often. It comes in waves. Sometimes I'd do it as often as three or four times a day, other times I'd go a week between. I'm somewhere in between at this time.
6. Have you ever taken your clothes off for money?
No. Bad idea, I've seen how shit like that can come back to haunt even careful people.
7. Do you prefer showers or baths?
Baths, most definitely. Nothing like a good soak for the scales, even better with a book to read.
8. Have you ever had sex in the shower or the bath?
No, and no. It sounds awfully hot though, so given the opportunity... ^.=.-
9. Do you watch/read pornography?
Not really. I mean, I can, and have, but it really doesn't do much for me anymore.
10. Do you want someone aggressive or passive in bed?
Aggressive, since I'm rather passive myself. It's more of a confidence thing though, I feel like I could be more aggressive with experience.
11. Do you love someone on your friends list?
Uhhh, I'll have to get back to you on that....
12. Do you know all the people on your friends list?
Many, but no. There are a few in there I've never had any contact with.
13. would you choose money or love?
Love. I would like money to better provide for who I love, but given a choice, I'd take love every time.
14. Your top three favorite kinks in bed?
Hmmm... Rather vanilla at this time. More from a lack of experience than any possible interest.
15. Has anyone ever gone beyond your personal line of respect sexually?
Yes. I've had a run-in with at least one person I wanted to have nothing to do with sexually, but to make it simple, they insisted on trying. That person I no longer maintain any sort of contact with.
16. Where is the most romantic place you have had sex?
Bed. Not my bed.
17. Where is the weirdest place you have had sex?
Back of a minivan... Dont know if I can exactly call it sexual, but I'm not going any further than that.
18. Have you ever been caught having sex?
No. Had someone's father call this girl's cell phone while we were messing around once.
19. Have you ever been to a strip club?
Nope. Not particularly interested either.
20. Ever been to a bar just to get sex?
No bar-going for an under-21 fella like myself... this may change soon...
21. Ever been kicked out of a bar or a club for sexual reasons?
No.
22. Ever been picked up in a bar?
nope
23. Have you ever kissed or had sex with someone of the same sex?
I haven't had sex but I've fooled around with someone of the same gender.
24. What's your sexuality?
Calling myself straight, just to be on the safe side.
25. Had sex in a movie theater?
Nope.
26. Had sex in a bathroom?
Nope.
27. Have you ever had sex at work?
No. Being in the military, I cant imagine the sorts of bad that would come from being caught. Not worth it!
28. Have you ever been in an "adult" store?
No.
29. Bought something from an adult store?
Nope.
30. Do you own any sex toys?
None!
31. If yes, how many and what are they?
N/A
32. Does anyone have naughty pics of you or are you on film?
Nope. Not going to change anytime soon.
33. Have you ever had sex with someone and called them the wrong name?
lolwut?
34. Have you ever had phone sex?
Nope
35. Have you ever had cyber sex?
Hard to say. If you count scening between my fursona and sexual partners, then yes. Otherwise, no.
36. Do you think oral sex constitutes as a form of intercourse?
If it goes in someplace where 'bodily fluids' can be exchanged, it's intercourse by my definition.
37. What's your favorite sexual position?
I'm a missionary man, myself. Doggy's very nice, a close second!
38. What's your favorite sex act?
Would it be terribly male of me to say intercourse? There isnt much that compares that I've experienced thus far.
39. Have you ever had sex with more than one person at a time?
No
40. Who do you think has the guts to repost this?
Definitely not this guy ->

Meme madness!
General | Posted 15 years agoWhat better way to put something new on my page than to pick up on a meme, I say!
Anywho, this is how it works...
You leave a comment on my page, and I will:
1. Tell you something I'll learn about you by looking at your FA page for 13 seconds.
2. Tell you which color you remind me of.
3. Tell you my first memory of you.
4. Tell you what pokemon you remind me of.
5. Ask you something I've always wondered about you, and your answer has to be as vague as possible to keep the suspense.
6. Tell you my favorite thing about you.
7. Give you a weird nickname
8. Tell you what's on my shirt right now.
9. Challenge you to post this on your journal
Do it! DO EET NAOOOO!

Dear god...
General | Posted 15 years agoLadies and gentlefurs, I've discovered something both unsettling and unexpected... My brother... is a furry.
Exhibit A: http://greengoldg.deviantart.com/
I thought it'd been too long since I caught him snooping around FA under my account, but apparently furry has gotten under his skin too... He's even used my username concept, and made for himself a reptilian fursona. What have I done?!

1. What the hell is wrong with you?
2. It's not that big of a deal, calm the fuck down.
3. She needs to stop with that bullshit and make him a sammich.
4. I told you so.
5. What if she's like... a dude...
6. I hate to tell you this, but your girlfriend is a whore...
7. You're not that much of a badass... really.
8. She is NOT as hot as you said she was.
9. I really wish I could be like you...
10. I'd rather skydive with a cinder block for a parachute than keep talking to you.
Nine Things About Myself
1. I'm lazy.
2. I enjoy doing nice things for others and having them do nice things for me in turn.
3. I have difficulty expressing my thoughts on the spot; Anyone who has heard me speak compared to a typed up message can probably tell. I tend to stumble mid-sentence when I try to talk quickly. I need time to process stuff in my head so it comes out the way I want it to.
4. I was pretty isolated living in the middle of nowhere growing up. I feel socially inept sometimes.
5. I'm an Aries in the traditional Zodiac and a Horse in the Chinese Zodiac
6. I'm extremely easygoing; I've been told I dont take some things as seriously as I should be.
7. I dislike being angry. I try my damnedness to substitute any emotion for anger, and get away when someone DOES manage to piss me off.
8. I seem to have an OCD with rounding everything numerical into things ending in 5 or 0. I like whole numbers, and will actually tip on things like diner checks so it ends in a 5 dollar increment.
9. I am highly empathetic and often take overt interest in helping out my friends.

Tapestries Desc. - Y'zon Main
General | Posted 16 years agoMy current detail description, as used on Taps.
At first glance, Y'zon is truly something different. What stands before you is an Argonian, a proud reptilian race that hails from a swampy region known as the Black Marsh. He stands about 6' 2", 195 imperial pounds. He is immediately set apart from his brethren for lacking the usual earthy coloration of his kind. Instead, his entire body is a shade of turquoise pastel blue. His scales shine like sapphires in the sunlight, and completely melds into moonlight. It is said amongst his people, those with such starkly contrasting color are destined with a special purpose, or live a blessed life.
Looking into his face, you see his face carries the traditional shape and build of an argonian. His eyes are a matching icy blue in coloration, the irises very subtly slitted as for a reptile. His powerful jaw muscles give his head definition. Moving back, there are several off-black horns jutting several inches out behind him, curving down gracefully as they taper off. He shows an unmistakable sense of intelligence, and carries an air of serenity and control. Moving down, his chest seems to attract the most attention. His well toned chest, abs, and arms are the result of innumerable time spent running, swimming, and climbing objects. It is most attractive in fine light, his taut scaled hide stretched over it all, accentuating every detail. Looking closely, you see the scales on his chest and belly are very flat, smooth, and wide, compared to the smooth bumpiness of the scales over the rest of his body.
Looking even further down, is his strong, equally fit legs. They are plantigrade, defined in a more humanesque way than some of his widely adapted species. He keeps his toe claws well trimmed, and remain very sharp and potent as a tool of defense if absolutely necessary. Today, he seems to be wearing something new, a splendid pair of black silk leggings. They seem rich and quite well woven. Along the outsides, gold colored runes decorate all the way down the legs, and ghostly silver flames are woven into the ankles. They vastly contrast his color, and fit quite nicely around his waist.
Behind him, is his powerful tail. It remains the same beautiful shade of blue, as is the rest of him. It gracefully flows down, tapering to a dull point. It is very muscular in build, and makes not only for an effective means of travel in the water, but has been trained to grasp simple objects. Y'zon can even hang off tree branches with it for a short time.
All in all, he has a quiet, inward attitude, requiring time to open up to the people he speaks to. He is a kindred spirit, but will not hesitate to defend things which he considers important to him. He is in the possession of, and normally carries a silver longsword on his person as his family inheritance. He has years of experience using it as both a weapon, and a tool of utility in his travels.

New works in progress!
General | Posted 17 years agoI'd like to say to any who are listening, that I have once again gone back into drawing. This time, I'm taking my work to the digital front. I recently got GIMP, and have working in order to start making new anthro art through it. I hope by the end of the week I'll have something I would consider good enough to be posted both here and on DA. Finally, I'll be able to make works in color. Something I've previously been unable to do...

General | Posted 17 years agoWell, now I feel like getting a little more serious in the drawing biz, more specifically the various monsters of the monster hunter series... I plan on systematically sketching each and every monster (as of MHF2...) I've been a bit lazy, but I think I'm committed enough to get it done.
