Hello everyone! Hope you are all well :)

I have been struggling significantly with my mental health this year, and unfortunately it has caused me to fall very far behind in posting and just drawing in general! I have kept up with my commissions though, luckily :) SO this journal is to say, expect some new uploads from me from stuff I've been working on but haven't gotten around to posting yet!

And for the part I'm sure most of you are here for: FREE ART.

I am looking to have a 'bank' of characters to pull from for experimental things, there's a few species I'm interested in but feel free to post ANY character you want regardless of the species. I'm feeling birds or things with hooves, antlers, or horns at the moment but anything is fine. There is no guarantee that I will get to you, but I'm looking to do some free art for designs that inspire me so go ahead and post refs below!

My new tablet came today! :) And I am so so happy and so so grateful!

Unfortunately!

I feel like I have never drawn in my entire life lol! So please be patient with me as I adjust to the change, but know that I am SO EXCITED to get going again! I have missed drawing so very much and I can't wait to jump back in, but there will definitely be an adjustment period as I get used to different equipment :)

Just wanted to post a little update here!

My tablet is broken :( I talked to customer service and was advised that all I could do now was buy another tablet, so that's unfortunate. It's demotivated me a bit, to be honest, but I still have my ipad so I'll keep doing what I can :)

The good news is that once I get my drawing situation sorted out, I have a lot of things that I want to work on. Ideas are flowing! I have an idea for a piece that I'm really excited about, and an adopt that was ALMOST finished before my tablet died (it's too big for the iPad unfortunately!).

I was also thinking about using a separate account to post reminders, so that you guys aren't constantly inundated with the same stuff. What is your opinion on that?

Happy New Year everyone!

On January 2nd I said goodbye to my dog of 16 years. I will be running a sale so that I can get enough money to get a nice urn for her.

I am hoping to get some feedback on what kind of sales you would be most interested in. You can suggest ideas or prices you would find most tempting, whatever it might be I just want some input before I get things rolling. I have also created a survey you can fill out if for whatever reason you don't want to comment on the journal.

Some of my ideas included busts, colored sketches, sketch pages, or a limited number of discounted full scene commissions. I just want to know what you guys want to see so that I can make this successful and give my baby a beautiful resting place.

I hit 400 watchers last night! What an exciting milestone, I'm very grateful to everyone who has chosen to watch me and stick around over the years. I am especially grateful to the people who have commissioned me and given me the motivation to always improve and keep posting!

In honor of this occasion I am doing a little giveaway. Nothing super organized, I didn't have time to get a raffle planned out, but I'm going to use my warm-up time over the next couple days to show some appreciation to my watchers!

Lately I've been kinda wanting to do a trade (or a few?) now that I've gotten so many character references done!

Character References

I am looking to do a full body trade, maybe a headshot as well, just seeing if anyone is interested in anything at this point! If you are, just comment and let me know which character you are interested in drawing, who you would want me to draw, and what type of trade you're looking for (full body flat/shaded, headshot flat/shaded, something else?)!

Lately I've been drawing a lot of reference sheet type things and while I love those, I'm just looking to shake things up a bit! I most likely won't be able to accept every offer but please don't take it personally! Even if this time doesn't work out, that doesn't mean it won't work out in the future!

Edited to add: Quads or anthros are fine, my usual will/won't draw rules still apply!

Many months ago I made a journal talking about an upcoming raffle; obviously time got away from me, but I'm finally getting to it now! I thought this would be a great time of year, considering Thanksgiving is coming up and this would be a good way to show my appreciation for my watchers, new and old alike! So, without further ado, here is how to join!

Rules

1. Comment on this journal telling me you'd like to enter! You MUST be watching me to enter. I will reply to your entry with a number (or numbers), confirming your entry and securing your place in the raffle! It may take me a while to get back to you, but please be patient! I will make sure to get everyone!

2. People who have commissioned me this year (2020) will also receive an additional entry! (But they must comment to enter!) This is to show extra appreciation to those who have supported my art recently, when I needed it most! Hello everyone!

Just wanted to give you all a little update on what's (hopefully!) coming in the near future!

First of all, I have created a new price sheet and will be posting that on the first of next month (March 1st). If you want to grab something at my current prices this is your last chance! My last price sheet was over two years old, it was high time I made some new examples and got something updated out there.

Secondly, and why most of you clicked this journal (I'm assuming) is that I'm going to be hosting a raffle soon. I will make an official post once I figure out all the details, but I wanted to give you guys' a head's up and maybe ask if there's any particular prize you would be interested in. At the moment I'm thinking a full body shaded comm, but I'm open to ideas!

I only say tentative because I have been having a horrendous time drawing lately. I desperately want to get back into it but it's been almost a year now since I was able to actually do...much of anything, honestly.

So I was thinking, since I'm struggling to draw for myself, maybe it would help if I had some fresh material? So feel free to post your refs! I can't promise anything, but I will try to do at least /something/!

All species welcome, anthro or quad is fine. Just looking to warm up and get reacquainted with my favorite hobby!

Welcome! To properly break in this new account I have decided to hold a raffle for both new watchers and old. This move has been a long time coming, and what better time to get it started than the new year! So, without further adieu, let's get to what you're all here for.

Terms of Service


By commissioning Odonarta, the client agrees they have read and agree to the following terms. These terms are subject to revision and change without notice. Commissions are worked on in an order according to Odonarta's discretion.

Odonarta retains the right to decline a commission at their discretion.


Payment
Payment is required upfront and will be done through Paypal invoices in USD. No work will begin on a commissioned work until the invoice is paid.

Payment plans are currently not offered.

Invoices must be paid within 5 business days or they may be cancelled, at the discretion of Odonarta.


Artistic License, Alterations
Odonarta retains the right to artistic license. The client's needs will be met in the way that is most compatible with the artist's individual style.

Alterations to pieces completed by Odonarta are not to be made without prior discussion and agreement.

Odonarta will not work with premade, existing content including but not limited to: premade lineart, finished or partially finished products from other artists.


Information, Deadlines
Odonarta declares that all work, unless otherwise stated, will be completed within 45 business days, excluding US national holidays. Business days are defined as Monday-Friday, 9-5.

Clients may request rush orders at an additional fee, which must be discussed and confirmed prior to acceptance of the commission. Odonarta retains the right to refuse rush orders at her discretion.

The client agrees to provide visual reference whenever possible, and to host said reference for the duration of the contract. Broken links will result in delays, which Odonarta is not accountable for and do not count towards the 45 business day completion.


All references must be provided upfront. Reference includes, but is not limited to, character reference, accessories, specific poses, clothing, detailed descriptions, etc. Failure to do so will result in delays, and any significant changes made due to incorrect or missing references will incur additional fees.

Shaded reference sheets will incur an additional 50% fee due.

The client is encouraged to give detailed feedback at each stage of the process in order to ensure they are satisfied with the final product. Once a stage has been completed and confirmed, prior stages will not be altered. When available to the client, work in progress will usually have a minimum of two stages:
Sketch
Flat colors
The client may request an update at any time within reason, at Odonarta's discretion.

Failure to communicate promptly will result in delays, which Odonarta is not accountable for and do not count towards the 45 business day completion guarantee.


Significant changes to the original brief and changes required once a WIP stage has been approved will incur additional fees once work has begun on the commission.


Once the final product is approved by the commissioner, no more changes will be made without additional compensation. There is a $15 minimum for any changes to already finished work. It is up to the client to point out any mistakes, adjustments, etc. that need to be made before final approval. Odonarta is not required to keep the unflattened, workable file once a commission is approved so changes may not be possible.


Rights and Usage

The client may upload the finished piece as they like but the signature must not in any way be altered or removed.

Finished pieces will be provided as a .png file as a dropbox link. Other file formats may be requested.

Images will be hosted for a maximum of 7 days following completion. The client accepts the full responsibility for saving and securing their files. Odonarta is under no obligation to host or preserve the client's piece after 7 days of completion.

Odonarta will not provide unflattened PSD files under any circumstance.



No commissioned work is to be used commercially without express written permission. Commercial commissions do not follow general pricing guidelines and must be discussed on a case-by-case basis.



Adoptables and Design Commissions


Designs purchased from Odonarta belong exclusively to the client and may be altered or resold as they see fit. Note that this refers only to the design, the art may not be altered by anyone other than Odonarta without prior written consent.
Designs may not be used commercially without prior written agreement and the payment of a commercial usage fee, determined by Odonarta based on the application of said design.


Refunds, Cancellations, Contract Termination
The client may receive a 100% refund if cancelled before work has begun.
The client may receive a 60% refund if cancelled after completion of the sketch
The client may receive a 0% refund for anything that is beyond the sketch phase.

Refunds exclude additional costs such as Paypal, bank fees, and currency exchange fees.
