Species Swap Meme!
General | Posted 17 years agoI yanked this from
Puma-namanari 's journal because it sounded quite fun and offered a nice variety of species that are normally overlooked.
Your character's species if your fursona/avatar was:
a general airborne species: Vampire Bat
a general aquatic species: Seal, cause I got to feed them at Sea World recently and they are so awesome.
a general invertebrate: Octopus
an amphibian: Fire Salamander
a bird: Bald Eagle, they were my favorite animal when I was a kid.
a canine: Golden Jackal
a caniform carnivore (excluding canines): Wolverine, yay Red Dawn!
a dinosaur: Velociraptor, can't beat having a toe designed specifically for disemboweling.
a feliform carnivore (excluding felines): Fossa, cause they are just plain awesome.
a feline: Jaguar, kinda obvious or should be lul
an insect/arachnid: Tarantula, even though I hate spiders Tarantulas just look so cool.
a marsupial: Wombat
a microoganism: Plankton
a mythical species: Frank the Bunny
a primate: Lemur, because one species is named after John Cleese
a reptile: Caiman, chomp chomp chomp
a rodent or lagomorph: Pika, and no not "chu"
an ungulate: Tapir
a mammal in a group not listed above: No others that I can think of off the top of my head.
Try picking (at least) 3 of these choices and sketch them out, keeping your character recognizable. Then you can see what they look like as another species that you may not have
---
Thinking up different species for myself was actually surprisingly difficult, but it was interesting to compare my personality and such to other species. It was also quite fun looking up several of the ones I was not familiar with, and learning what the heck ungulates are lol. Give it a try! And thanks again Pummy.

Fun Times!
General | Posted 18 years agoWell, this is not furry related at all, but I'm posting it up to celebrate my completion and certification as a LEO, aka cop lol. So I'm sharing my OC spray training video, and man was that a fun day. There is nothing like the feeling of your face being burnt off and the searing inability to breathe, but on the plus side my eyes reacted very well to it lol. Never will I look at peppers the same way again, as I had no idea cayennes could burn so badly. But I will definitely be relying on my taser more so than my OC, since the over spray on it is so bad depending on conditions. We also had taser training on our last day yesterday and that was f'ing awesome. I <3 the taser! I'm so excited, and off to be a Deputy in the next county over, huzzah! Anyway, enjoy my pain!
