Not Open for Commissions
Posted 11 years agoI've been receiving quite a few inquires so I figured I may want to post a journal just so it's on my front page. At the current moment due to time constraints and really just a lot of stuff happening when I really didn't expect to I haven't found myself with enough time allotted to actually take on commissions or even open for them. Not to mention that my Commission Price guide is in some need of some work overs. Mainly the price on backgrounds and a few other things. Which I was going to hold off on until the first of the year but I may update sometime sooner rather than later.
So to sum it up, I am currently not open for any commissions. I appreciate your interest and I do intend to keep you updated on that matter. I will post a journal a few days in advance to let you know when I'll be opening so you can plan for it. c:

Please don't pressure me
Posted 11 years agoI realize that as commissioners you guys get curious, but it's the way you go about things that bothers me sometimes. Please check my front page for any news on YCH/Regular Commission status. I update it there so everyone can see them and know that I am working on them.
As for TCBYs, just because you can't see me working doesn't mean they aren't getting done. Due to one of them wanting more detail than I should have accepted it's taking a little longer to get past, however they are in process and you will get to see some of them posted very soon.
To get to the point, this is not the only site that people do this to me on. I have people on different sites where I only do adoptables ask me when it's ending, who's the winner, ON the date I said I'd make an announcement. I think sometimes in general people don't realize that asking questions in a certain way put pressure on me to try and push myself into working faster and in doing so it puts unnecessary stress on me. Which in turn is how commissions end up not getting completed for months. Because it makes me nervous, I feel I can meet expectation and complete it, and then my rhythm gets all out of whack. So aside from those of you who have been waiting a month or more for something - all I'm asking is that the rest of you be patient while I work. The less pressure I feel from you guys the better it'll be on me.
As of late there's been quite a few time sucks that have taken my attention but some of the TCBYs should be posted before the days done. And to be clear, I am going in order of who ordered first. So if you're wondering who I'm working on or who's next, once I've posted the few I've been finishing up you'll know.

October's in and Thanks for a great September!
Posted 11 years agoHello all my fabulous watchers!
Just wanted to give a quick shout out to all of you wonderful people that helped me make this past September a full-on success! It was very empowering to be able to do the 30 day challenge and complete it start to finish! It really did mean a lot to have all of you behind me on it too. I raised more than double what I normally do in a month and that to me, is so super amazing. I've had a lot of bills and things come up this past month and every single one of them was met and it's all thanks to you guys!
I'm taking a break today and tomorrow to try and just doodle and relax a little before I open for commissions on the 3rd. I'll only be taking on 2 commissions at a time and it can be ANY commission I offer. I'll try to finish them in a timely manner and work on my turn-around time for you guys. So be looking out for that.
Also! October's in and it's tots Halloween season. So guys! Let me know what you want to see. I'm thinking this month I need to raise no less than $400, and since we did so well last month I'm assured we can pull it off without any issue for this month. I need ideas of what you guys want to see. I'm talking YCHs, TCBYs, and Icons galore. But specifically what would you like to see for this season? I want to make my art tailored to my watchers as you are my customers and without you - I'd be in serious need of a consistent job! XD

Draw All September Long

Alright, it is September 1st and that means it is the beginning of "Draw All September" or the 1 picture a day challenge. Basically for the month of September I will doing pretty well nothing but focusing on my 1 picture a day and finishing up what I owe. If this goes well I may do something similar a couple months a year. So this should be fun.
Q: What exactly is the point of this?
A: To practice finishing my artwork more quickly and to learn to be more punctual with my commissions. Basically to provide you with the best service I can for the quality I can produce in a short time.
Q: What will be the turn around for these?
A: They will be finished that day. It'll be a 1 image per day, and I will finish and submit the image before the day is over with. Before 12:00 a.m. Central Standard Time.
Q: What can I order?
A: Sketches, lines, flat color, cell shaded and soft. Later in the month I will be adding joint icons and possibly chibis into the mix.
Q: How many characters?
A: Up to 2 characters max.
Q: How about backgrounds?
A: No, I won't be doing backgrounds with any of these, they'll all have transparent background so I can finish them quickly and efficiently!

Posted 11 years agoThat's right, I am trying to keep with my schedule so I can keep up with everything. So, the next round of "Themes" is on. The plan is to have each of these commissions finished in one week. (that's the plan, not set in stone, but the plan) Which this past week has been particularly busy one, but the first priority is the 2 commissions from "last" week's theme, and then these two that I will be taking. c:
The ONLY stipulation is that there is a Theme for each week in August. And the four week's theme is "Anger/Revenge". Any form of anger expressed including malice, evil, rage, or anything that falls in that category.
Ref sheets, icons, and other commissions that aren't in the sketches through simple shaded zone don't have to stick with the theme. But also don't have a finished-in-a-week plan.

-Anger (rage, malice, revenge, etc) emotion theme
-1 or more characters accepted (up to 2 max)
-sketches to simple shaded
-any species, any gender
-must be clean/PG work as always

Posted 11 years agoOkay guys, first off this isn't a /Rant/, nope this is just me being curious. So yeah.
Alright, so Shipping - basically pairing two characters together because "they'd make a good couple" for some reason or another. Which I have no problem with, kay? I ship a few canon-non-canon things, I just try not to make a huge habit of it because I'm lazy and dun like making AMVs about it, etc. Pffft, which I like watching my fav couples shipped. Yeah I'm a nerd.
But
This brings me to a question. Why do you ship? Is it just because they'd make a cute couple? Or is there another reason. I ship couples mostly because I think they "potentially" couple make an adorable couple and eventually adorable babies. So yeah. XD My reasons are funneh.
But what about you? Why do you ship?
(I'm so bad about shipping me and my best friends characters together. Ah so much has happened that's to that)
Oh and list some of your shipping pairs! I'd love to see what you guys ship. Which I'll list some of my favorites, so you guys can enjoy.

However I will venture to put that you "can" have images with blood, I will not actually draw the "act" of it. I will draw the before and aftermath (if not too gruesome), but I do not wanna draw someone in the midst of cutting themselves. Thanks for understanding.

This time it'll be "Draw All September Long" - So basically everyday I will be drawing something. It can be anything from sketches to cell shaded. Up to 2 characters in any picture, but no backgrounds. The idea is to complete one picture everyday for 30 days. Sounds fun right?
So again that's 30 pictures in 1 Month.

Posted 11 years agoPffft, literally I've been sketching for like an hour and a half and I'm not getting anything decent for a TCBY or YCH or anything really at all. Which is sort of nuts. I was going to stream today, but personal stuff came up. So I ended up trying to get a YCH or TCBY but nothing is really working for me. I free pretty tired and that might be it. But I will be streaming tomorrow. c: Definitely tomorrow. Sometime between 4 and 5 pm tomorrow I'll be streaming.
But yeah, tomorrow is my Mom's Birthday - but we don't have something planned so yeah. no worries there. c:

Posted 11 years agoThat's right, I am trying to keep with my schedule so I can keep up with everything. So, the next round of "Themes" is on. The plan is to have each of these commissions finished in one week. (that's the plan, not set in stone, but the plan)
The ONLY stipulation is that there is a Theme for each week in August. And the second week's theme is "Love". So your characters need to be expressing love in any way they'd like to (so long as it's clean) - and it's not just limited to couples but can be family, kids, pets, or anything really. I'll be taking any type of commission from sketches to simple shaded. all of it's open.
Ref sheets, icons, and other commissions that aren't in the sketches through simple shaded zone don't have to stick with the theme. But also don't have a finished-in-a-week plan.

Streaming cancelled for the Aug. 9th, -working on other owed art-
Aug. 11th - Open for 3 Commissions. (special themes - Love (couples, or family, or pets, etc) just spread the love)
Aug. 13th - Post YCH/TCBY (may or may not be Laser Tag one)
Aug. 14th - 4:00 p.m. CST - Stream Commissions (approximately for 4 hours)
Aug. 18th - Open for 3 Commissions. (special themes - Sadness, Loss, Depression)
Aug. 21st - 4:00 p.m. CST - Stream Commissions (approximately for 5 hours)
Aug. 25th - Open for 3 Commissions. (special themes - Revenge, Malice, Anger)
Aug. 28th - 4:00 p.m. CST - Stream Commissions (approximately for 5 hours)
This is the current schedule I'll be working on, and if anything for any reason has to change I'll notify you guys between 1 and 2 days prior. (unless a serious emergency comes up)
Again I'll remind you that September will start another strange monthly thing.
This time it'll be "Draw All September Long" - So basically everyday I will be drawing something. It can be anything from sketches to cell shaded. Up to 2 characters in any picture, but no backgrounds. The idea is to complete one picture everyday for 30 days. Sounds fun right?
So again that's 30 pictures in 1 Month.
Up to 2 characters per picture,
Sketch, Lined, Flat or Cell (may add soft to the mix)
Only thing is no Backgrounds (and obviously must be clean)
During September there will be no streaming, and I won't be taking on any other commissions but my 1 per day. Payment for the image must be sent that day or within 24 Hours.

News of Commissions, Openings, and Other Important Stuff
Posted 11 years agoAlright, so it's been a day or two of inactivity, and I actually have a reason for this. So yeah, not just me being lazy or what have you (which occasionally i the case) - the last day I streamed I had an influx of pain in my lower back and I had already had a doctors appointment scheduled for Wednesday. Well the pain increased that night to almost unbearable and I about went to the ER from just the pain worried it was my kidney or appendix. But I managed to wait it out, as well as subside it with pain relievers for the few days before my Dr.'s appointment as well as changing out food for crackers and cranberry juice in case it was my Kidney. So yeah. Turns out I had a very serious UTI (urinary tract infection), so yeah, very painful. But I have anti-biotics that are working wonders, and I'll be all set and healed in a week pretty much. So yay~
What does all of this have to do with commissions? Well since I couldn't sit, stand or lay down without intense pain - I couldn't work on commissions or anything really. So yeah. Now I can. :D
But don't worry, while I was out of commission (ha ha see what I did there?) I decided to draw up some ideas of my own for future commissions and try to work in a schedule for streaming. So woot for that.

Me and arc-n-thea were tossing around ideas the other day while I was under the weather about possible themes/ideas for stuff. And for August I've determined I'd like to go for an Emotion themed week, every week in august starting on a monday if I can. :D
I thought this idea would be fun since it's nothing specific enough that you couldn't make it all your own. So here's the idea for 4 weeks worth of emotional imaging.
Week 1: Happy, Joyous, Cheery
Week 2: Flirtatious, Couples, Lovey-dovey really
Week 3: Sadness, Depression, Upset (nothing suicidal, like cutting, etc plz)
Week 4: Anger, Malice, and Revenge
Tell me what you think in the comments below about this idea. It should be quite fun. XD
All images commissioned for that week have to pertain to the theme (except for stream commissions or ref sheets lol)

I got this idea that maybe if I was consistently drawing everyday I'd procrastinate less. So I was thinking that I'd give a try to a 1 commission a day theme. There are rules and stipulations of course, but basically I'd be doing in the month of September no less than 30 individual pictures.
Basically each day I'd open for one slot.
It would only be of a certain type of commission: Sketch, Lined, Flat, or Cell
It would only have a max amount of characters being 2.
AND
No backgrounds, backgrounds, or anything like that. Because you know quantity, I want to be able to produce artwork quickly and efficiently but with quality. c:
Again tell me about your ideas, opinions and anything else in the comments below. I will be reading them and taking in your input!

Posted 11 years agoI'm working on saving back money for a 3DS XL for my mom. and I want to get hte Yoshi edition one because she loves yoshi, I think he's her favorite character. And I was thinking I could do some stream commissions though I'm not sure whether or not I should.

But they seem a ways off until I can get everything right. So I'm asking for ideas. I've got very basic rules, and I'm looking for a BUNCH of ideas. So give me all you got XD Seriously, my brain is like half-dead. So thinking is very taxing for me. lol

Opinions on the Updated AUP
Posted 11 years agoI've seen a lot of people that are pitching a fit on the public announcement and it seriously is just laughable to me. Pretty well everything on there is just updated, revised and some small added rules that really shouldn't effect anyone who is abiding by FA rules to begin with. But it appears the biggest issue is with the General, Mature, and Adult ratings now that they've been properly outlined - and the avatars rule which states simply that avatars must follow the General guideline. Which simply put says not genitals, female nipples or bulges.
So here's where the fit is thrown. Female nipples. Everyone is raging that it's sexist that male nipples aren't included. That it doesn't just say "No nipples" period. Okay.... and I'm like "well I guess that wouldn't be an issue. I don't draw them anyhow." *shrugs* but the fit they are actually throwing over this simple thing is so stupid.
Look, laws quite simple. Female topless = indecent. Male topless = okay.
Simply put, females have more up-top, they are actually used for something. And have a purpose.
Where as males, don't really. they don't breast feed, and they don't have to wear bras.
And a lesson in anatomy is, really women have bigger nips than men do. And they just look different guys. So there's where I stand. But what about you guys? What do you think on this?
