my laptop has decided to die. what the f.. I have majority of my files backed up, minus ones I was working on for the past couple days (so 2-3 commissions that were nearly done.. can't even access.) plus sketches for TCBYs or YCHs out.. gone.

birthday's tomorrow and either my laptop's hard drive has failed or the motherboard has died, or something to cause a BIOS error. and I just.. can't do anything. I'm not that tech savvy, so I'm just shit out of luck with this one... I have my husband's laptop to continue work on but this has only proven to be further delaying getting everything caught back up.

I just.. feel like I'm drowning. One problem after the next, I just want it to stop and let me be for a little bit. but it doesn't seem like it's going to stop anytime soon. I'm hoping someone I know near me can at least get my most recent files for me off my laptop.. in the meanwhile I'll have to switch to using my husbands.. which is already set up to do pretty much everything because of the last laptop issue I mentioned in my previous journal..

Alrighty so I was holding off talking about my recent laptop issues (which has been since.. sunday)
my laptop had an error - "Failed to Connect to a Windows Service"
windows couldn't connect to the Group Policy Client service. This problem prevents standard users from signing in. As an administrative user, you can review the system event log for details about why the service didn't respond.

alright, so after googling for a little bit I found a video with a tutorial of how to "fix the issue". I went through all the steps, but the issue was that my files that were supposed to be missing for the error to have occurred were still there. They were just disabled - so I searched and searched to no avail for how to re-enable so I could continue on using my laptop like normal.

well.. my laptop hadn't had any issues until I had installed a program. In a strange turn of events that same program was listed by someone as having caused the issue for their laptop. Information I was surprised to see because I wasn't trying to link it to a program as the cause initially. iTunes. iTunes caused this error, as weird as that is - so I did a system restore to a date prior to when I had installed iTunes. Without thinking to disable my AVG, the system restore had an error and failed because AVG was protecting a file. So I uninstalled AVG and then did another system restore to a little ways back.

The system restore worked, and no Group Policy Client error - so I thought I was good. That I could go back to doing my normal stuff right? Well I was wrong. My laptop became extremely laggy and slow - like freezes when you move the mouse an lagging every two seconds. This was sunday night - so I took my husband's laptop and did some more googling. Apparently if a system restore fails it can cause this laggy-ness and errors so there was a method in which to follow. I was like "well alright let's begin then."

I spend all of monday pretty well just trying to save my files to my external hard drive in the event that for some reason my laptop decided to delete all of my files during a system refresh (which it's not supposed to do, but best to be prepared right?). Tuesday I spent the day "refreshing the pc" and beginning to the updating progress. My laptop was originally a windows 8, not 8.1, so I had to install all of the updates prior to upping it to windows 8.1. That took a lot of time. I didn't get to install the last updates until yesterday morning, and I didn't get to begin the window 8.1 install process until noon yesterday.

after waiting hours, and days and omg so much stress. my laptop appears to be running rather well. I'm still missing some programs I have to reinstall but my firefox, sai, skype, obs, avg, and a hefty amount of my other programs are reinstalled and ready to go. I am hopeful my laptop won't give me more issues for a litte bit - but I'm also prepared as my husband's laptop is set up with my tablet, sai, and some of my more important files. So should something happen I do have a back up.

Needless to say I will probably start saving up for a new laptop this year, because it would be for the best to have one in case this one completely dies on me - so I don't have to resort to using my husband's. (because I don't want to take his laptop if I can help it, you know?)

so all in all back to work. I intend to get a YCH up later today as I do need to pay my water bill by no later than monday. So look forward to that, plus I hope to get several commissions I have sketched on their way to being lined, and then colored so I can post them too.

///as a note, in case anyone tries to tell me/convince me to switch to windows 10, I don't want it. I'm not interested in windows 10, and regardless of any windows 8.1 bugs I prefer it to windows 10. I understand we're all entitled to our opinions, I'd just like to ask that you respect mine. thank you.///

This past week has been particularly busy for whatever the reason so I haven't gotten much art done. (Plus my electric bill is probably going to be due soon) So I’ve decided to do some discounts for Christmas slots, I think if I did another “Days of Christmas” challenge right now I’d just fail like I did last year, so I will hold off on that for this year. However, if you’d like you can give me ideas for 2016’s Christmas season and I’ll take note to get sketches down for all of that by November next year. c:}

Now onto the discounts!
Everyone loves discounts right? And I guess you could consider this a Black Friday/Cyber Monday Sale because I’ll be taking on about 10-15 Slots (possibly more but that depends) for discounted prices. And these discounts won’t last terribly long. Once slots are filled I won’t open for more until a minimum of 5 have been finished. Discounts will range from 15% to 30% Off certain commissions~

What’s the catch you might ask? Well no catch but I have two conditions:
1. These must be Christmas, Holiday, Seasonal or Winter themed
2. These will be done sort of/semi Wing-It style, so poses/ideas will mostly be determined by whatever I come up with (which may be in your favor, I can be pretty creative under the right circumstances lol)

hello all, I'm back and still alive lol

(about my trip)
so my trip to georgia _{(the state, not country)} was interesting to say the very least. It was very stressful, GPS(s) and a lot of random mishaps but overall it went well. I got to spend time with my brother, and the trip was not boring to say the least. Got lost several times, but still, and there was a lot of running to and fro. We ended up getting a hotel (Super 8) which was actually very nice. The beds, omg, so comfy I just wanted to lay there for ever. We went to a waffle house for lunch, and taco bell for dinner there (I love taco bell btw) but neither of them were particularly good. The following day we picked my brother back up and went to head out to the mall around lunch time. We stopped at a Kyrstals, never been to one before, and it was pretty good. Their fries were uncooked/soggy-ish so that was my only complaint. The mall was pretty great, I bought a cute necklace from Spencers (also never been there) but the swag they got there is pretty awesome. Checked out Hot Topic, and Gamestop, but not much else. Decided to catch a movie but missed the showing for the one theater so had to pick a different one. The showing was like four hours off, so we went to this Arcade/Mini Golf/Laser Tag/Roller Rink thing and it was pretty frikin awesome. I love arcades and the boys went skating which was funny to watch. We watch The Last Witch Hunter, which was an interesting movie. I liked it alright. Ended up getting lost for a while, and having some car trouble (tires got low, thought we had a flat) and it wouldn't stop raining. We stopped at a Wendy's on the way home, never been there before either, omg their food is SO GOOD. Holy cow, like I had really had my heart set on Chik-fil-A but they're closed on sundays, so that was out, but Wendy's had this amazing chicken sandwich. Ahhh so yummy. and yes before you ask I did get a Frosty, chocolate at that, and it was great too. We had a lot of laughs, some frustrating growling, and a couple tears but it was a good trip overall.

so now that I'm home I want to get back into the groove of things and I do need to get some money to pay bills once again. (gosh it's a never ending cycle bleh) but I want to stream tomorrow for a while and I wanted to know what you guys thoughts were on when I should start streaming?

Hello everyone, so I'll be taking these all month long, or at least up until the 27th or 28th of this month.

These are basically trick or treating icons, and can be done smooth or pixel. If you get pixel the largest your image will be will be 100x100. Base image size is 500x500 currently. You can get it animated for both, but nothing outrageous. I'm talking blinking, ears moving/twitching and perhaps some bouncing. Prices will vary a bit but the starting price is $10 usd. And you may pick a costume for your character to wear if it is not too complicated. I'd prefer to only do more or less generic outfits if I can help it.
