Okay so I hit a couple snags and have had a lot going on this month that were all unexpected or mostly sudden changes. Regardless, I am still working on the commissions I owe as I have the time. I will be trying to finish up a couple before this month's end, however, I won't have all of them caught up by next month and I do need to pay bills. So with that in mind I will be opening for icon commissions on Sept 1st. These will be a limited 10 slots (roughly). I've been putting off this journal for a little while because it's been hella crazy. Honestly I'm not sure where to begin but here goes.

Beginning of this year started off rough. Just life, stress and really too much to really handle. I managed to force out a couple owed TCBYs which I posted early February. Sometime in later February I believe, I had a mental breakdown on my husband, who wasn't really prepared for the sort of baggage I've been keeping to myself for well over a year now. Lots of tears and talking later and I was back to feeling better than I have in two years. I set back to work on my commissions and made a lot of progress. I've completed a ych, and 5 sketches that I just haven't posted yet because I've been trying to finish the last of my sketches owed so I can post them all at once. I'm not sure what happened to April, it sped by me and left me disoriented and we're halfway through May and I'm beginning to feel the weight of not having finished what I owe still. I'm still trying to actively get these things done but I'm sure any of you who have dealt with minor bouts of what I assume is depression you know it's harder to even get started at times.

Also a new development concerning my tablet issue. I tried to make a tablet investment last year since my Bamboo Create kicked the bucket. There were several mishaps that lead me to purchasing a Ugee brand screen tablet which didn't end up working out. So I ended up purchasing a Ugee M708. This tablet is the same size as my Create was and works about the same minus a few details. Which as of late has proved to be an issue somehow. Ugee doesn't work with Sai, so I invested in buying a regular license for Sai so I could use the Beta of Sai 2. Which worked for a while. But now I'm having a particularly bad error that I don't know how to fix. For some reason (no matter what I do) the Sai 2 memory usage is stuck at 96% and every time I open a file it shoots up to 100% and won't save, merge layers, or do really anything. I don't know how to fix it whatsoever so I'm sort of stuck again. I can't go back to Sai 1 because of my tablet brand and I can't get Sai 2 to fix itself. So now I'm having to start over with a different art program to try to finish up what I owe and that's going to make this take longer because I'm less familiarized with other programs. I'm currently trying to get set up on Clip Studio Paint (because I bought it some time ago) and I may be able to get some things done on it but I'm not certain yet.

Anyhow, that's most of where I am right now. There's some other things I skipped over a little too because I felt they weren't really necessary to share. But anyway, that's about it for what's been going on with me. Hope it answers any questions you have about my disappearance. And yes, I am still actively trying to work through my commissions owed list.

So I've still got a lot of work to do and meant to post up some art recently but I'm telling you life is beating me hard atm. But I won't let it get the best of me, I will tough through this and come out stronger and better, that I know. So I'm just going to list here all the current # / type of art I owe as well as the goals and money I will need here in the short future. I've got plans to make this all happen in spite of the circumstances but I feel like listing this out will help me greatly.

I haven't said anything about it but my drawing tablet (Bamboo Create) died recently. It has a huge (I do mean huge) dead-zone and is unusable completely. So I've had to resort to using my husbands old (very old) bamboo tablet. It's not fantastic considering the Create was an excellent tablet but it had a long hard run with me. So I'm currently in need of a new one but for now have to settle for doing my work on this one until I have the necessary funds to purchase the new tablet. I intend to get a Intuos Pen & Touch (medium) but I'm open to some tablet suggestions in around the same range-ish with specs as good or better than that one is.

I want to apologize for the lack of responses or really activity. I am struggling at the moment, still physically but also financially. I'll elaborate a little more on those issues in a moment but I wanted to assure everyone I owe commissions to that I am still working on them. I intend to do my best to have as many (and as close to all of them) completed by the end of this month. That is the goal. I want to work on some new YCHs and things since September is up coming and I'd like to do another "Draw All September" commission challenge as I did last year. (It was super successful and helped me greatly in building up my productivity.) So for anyone I've forgotten to pm back or respond to, I am working on commissions (in general) and am trying to complete as many as possible before the beginning of next month. (and the goal is again as many if not all of the currently owed commissions.)

And now more about life updates and the things going on again. So if you read my "More Life Issues" journal made back in June then you probably recall that we were still having car troubles, our washing machine broke and that I had gotten a severe ear / tooth infection. Well here we are and it's August and the tooth infection has returned it seems full swing. I meant to get the tooth pulled by now but money is tight and without a solidly working vehicle we couldn't make the drive out of town to find a dentistry that could extract the tooth based on a sliding scale or cheaper means to help us out in our financial dilemma. Good news is though that we do have a car now that is dependable and only has a couple minor things in need of fixing. The old car that was in the shop (Suzuki) is out of commission still but my mom has taken over payments and is working to get it fixed and intends to keep it. Which is fine. We have this new to us car (08 impala) and it's truly perfect for what we need. So that's a blessing. The washer is still out of commission for now, mostly because we're uncertain on the part we need/where to get it. And it would take some time and several people off at once to fix it. So that's still a bit of an issue.

I'm going to call my health department again tomorrow and ask if they can squeeze me in to get me some antibiotics again to kick out this infection for now as I try to earn the money to go to the dentistry that I've found that does extractions for a bit cheaper (for the type I'll prolly need and I don't have insurance, again due to financial issues). However, the issue is that I need $200 usd in cash essentially to get it done. That's a bit of an issue for me right now as money doesn't grow on trees and I'm immensely behind on commissions as it stands so I refuse to take on more atm. If I didn't owe quite as much I'd consider doing a couple larger YCHs as those would get me the cash a bit more quickly but I honestly can't even focus with the sort of pain I'm dealing with right now. I hope to get that part at least taken care of tomorrow or friday at the latest so I can really buckle down and finish as many owed commissions as possible so I can earn the money I need to get this rid of this tooth that keeps causing me so much issue.

I gave an update in April about how things were going.
Well it's not really much better now.. actually that's an understatement.

First off our car still isn't out of the shop and the shop keeps giving us the run around. which is growing very annoying and tiresome. it's been well over a month and at this point our car should have been fixed and returned to us based on the initial issue they told us it was. :/

Second off our washing machine's drive belt looks like it's gone out. and while this is a fix that can be done, it's still super inconvenient timing among other things.

And lastly, (truly the most hindering of all for me) is that I've gotten fluid on my ears again, and I went to the health department to get something for it. They told me to wait it out, and I just can't handle this. Mostly because the inflamed ear has inflamed my broken (cavity'd/decaying) tooth and made it really unbearable. The earache sends shooting pains down my entire (right side) of my jaw, and my screwed tooth has become sensitive to the point that just closing my mouth to were my teeth only barely touch is painful. (this doesn't include attempting to eat which is ridiculously painful for anything I have to chew) Honestly the tooth feels as though it's going to break in half/pieces (it's already broken in half) and I don't have insurance (mostly because we just can't afford it among everything else going wrong). So if this tooth breaks or becomes more unbearable than it already is I have no idea what I'm going to do. edit// to add onto this I've spoken to a couple different people who think that this might not just be a normal toothache but rather an abscess which is like the last thing I need right now. ugh.

I have to go back to the health department tomorrow for blood work (which for those of who you know me, I despise doing & fainted once during), I'm going to see about talking to them about something to be done for my tooth. maybe if I'm lucky they'll have some ideas or something to help me out here. because honestly I can hardly think straight for more than a few minutes at a time. much less focus for a solid hour on getting any one thing done.

I need money for the electric bill and in a few days I'll need money for the internet.

I've gotten a couple notes in the past week concerning why a commission is taking so long and whatnot. So I figured I'd post a quick update on life since I haven't since October of last year. As of right now Life is hectic. Right now I'm running an adoptable species on a website and it's eating away my time keeping it running smoothly, and this has been since January. I've also been juggling some sickness, allergies, and some minor depression through this time as well. And have stayed mostly stressed from at least one of these factors listed above. As for commissions I'm still working on them, but some days are slower than others unfortunately. I've made a lot of progress with several commissions just not enough to post them yet. For the people I still owe commissions to; your patience thus far has been extremely helpful and I would like to thank you for that as well as asking you to please continue to be patient with me as I work through all of this. Look for at least some art to be posted next week as this week has been.. well.. a trip.

Recently our car (only running car) broke down with a crazy error that no one really understands. We went to try to sort out some things to get a new car from a dealership while we work on our currently broken down one. And things got.. hectic. At first all seemed to go smoothly, but now we've been put through so much stressed and jumped through a million hoops in the matter of 1 solid day that it's just exhausting. And there's a lot of other things I'm just glossing over at this point but in the short of it - we can't keep the car. Not with the way this used car dealership is trying to do us. So tomorrow it will be going back one way or another.

So actually I got my desktop yesterday,
and boy it is awesome. Yesterday I spent pretty well all day getting it set up and making adjustments, adding my programs, transferring my work/files to it, etc.
so that's why the ych scheduled for yesterday wasn't finished on time. However I am in the process of finishing it now, so yay. I'm just going to finish yesterdays and submit some personal art for today's slot. However I am going to try to sketch up tomorrow and the following day's slots so I can put them up. <3

hello all, so to any of those of you who watched me back in 2014 might recall I made a personal drawing challenge called "Draw All September Long"

Alrighty, so this is the "Draw All September" or the 1 picture a day challenge. Basically for the month of September I will doing pretty well nothing but focusing on my 1 picture a day and finishing up what I owe.

Q: What exactly is the point of this?
A: To practice finishing my artwork more quickly and to learn to be more punctual with my commissions. Basically to provide you with the best service I can for the quality I can produce in a short time.

Q: What will be the turn around for these?

I try not to be too specific with live events that are going on,
but I really want any of you who watch me that are spiritual to be praying for my mother.

the past 11 days she hasn't been able to keep anything down and thought it was gastritis which she has had before (last year or the year before I believe). she went to the doctor and they decided to hospitalize her because she was dehydrating. so they had an IV set up and ran a lot of tests. last night, unbeknownst to me, they said they'd have to send her to a larger hospital as she didn't have gastritis but rather pancreatitis, inflamed liver, ducts blocked with stones and gall bladder trouble. they have moved her and in 4-5 hours intend to try to do a procedure to remove the stones. tomorrow though, according to a call I just received, they intend to remove her gall bladder. (which after reading a bit about pancreatitis, I was certain was coming). I'm so worried, among so many other emotions and trying to not be fearful of all of this but I would greatly appreciate any and all prayers from you guys. for everything to go smoothly, for my mother's healing..

I'm still working on commissions.. trying to keep busy since there's nothing I can truly do but pray and believe for the best. but work is a little slow today.. so I apologize for that. thank you for those who read and for your prayers. thank you.

I'm a little overwhelmed, or really.. just overwhelmed by everything at the moment.
there's a lot going on and I apologize for the lack of updates and art on my part.
life's been weighing so heavy lately, bills are hard to meet, and just.. everything - it's been hard.
there's been a drastic change in schedule for me, as a shift change for troubleshark
went from 3pm to 11pm shifts to 7am to 3pm.
I was used to going to bed at 2-3am and getting up at 11am-12pm
now it's going to bed at 10-11pm and getting up at 6:30 am.
which has been a bit of struggle to get into a proper drawing/working schedule..
and just so much has been happening.. family issues, life issues, and just.. a lot
I feel like I can't hardly handle it but what else can I do?
I can't just lay down and give up,
...
I want to sometimes,
but I just need.. some encouragement, some strength right now that I don't have..

I figured it's about time I update you guys a little here.

so there's been a lot of stuff happening as of the recent, first I've been rather busy every tuesday as I've been attending Foster Care classes with my mom and stepdad. (mostly so I can be ok'd to babysit while they're working). My last class is this next coming tuesday, which is pretty exciting all in all. I've learned a lot from all of this, since I'm not a parent or anything (and truthfully am not ready for that step yet). It's been kind of exhausting though, plus I've had homework. it's weird to be an adult, out of high school for several years, and then be handed homework. I was like "homework.. waaat?" So that's the first thing.

Second thing is some drama with a friend who's dealing with a lot of stuff right now. (which is effecting me significantly too) My friend is married and was in the process of getting a divorce since things just weren't working out. Three years of being put down, treated like dirt, while her husband ran all over her, let his family run all over her and required to be a (silent) housewife while still having to work a job to cover their bills. (Housewife as in clean everything, cook everything, do everything while he sit on his lazy ass). Well she's been separated from him for two weeks, maybe going on three now - and he starts all this sweet talk about how he's gonna change. So then she's telling me she's gonna just try to work things out. You have no idea how bad I just wanted to scream, like "OMG WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS TO YOURSELF AND YOUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS. STOPIT!" buut I'm a good friend, so I weigh the pros and cons and tell her to not jump back into this. Take it slow, see if he even tries. But geez this is hard.

Third, art's been slow with so much going on. Plus family wanting to spend some more quality time with me because of it being summer and all.

Fourth, a relative (not to be by blood, but none the less) was in an accident and we (my lil house family unit) drove to UT Medical Center to hear a discouraging report. Even more so early this morning that she had passed. So that sucks...

Plus just overall stress and feeling inadequate while trying to work through all I owe. I feel like a shitty friend for a lot of reasons though one of them being that I feel like I'm not contributing enough.. so lemme just add fighting some faint depression while I'm at it..

so to any of you who have read all this, thank you for your time. and I hope this has shed some light on all that's been going on... thank you again.
