Furry Weekend and the Foreseeable Future
Posted 8 years agoWell, as I've been doing for years, I'll be heading to FWA 2017 next month. All the memes are the same, so I'm not really doing one, but I'm looking forward to the con.
I'm staying in Atlanta a few days after the con in preparations for a thing. At the beginning of May, I'll be moving to the Atlanta metro area with my mates. We've been planning this for a while, and the time is coming soon. After FWA, I'll be taking a few days looking around for potential places for us to live and work.
I'm cautiously hopeful this will go well, but then again, there's always the risk of my highly-raised hopes coming crashing down and hurting me and everyone around me? :\
But I hope it will go well.

Posted 8 years agoImagine a buffet restaurant. The buffet is divided into two portions; meat and non-meat foods. When customers come in, they're given a red or blue wristband: customers with a red wristband can only eat meat, customers with a blue wristband can eat everything but meat.
The restaurant's long standing policy has been that people who come in get given a wristband randomly. They're starting to trial a new policy where when customers come in, if they wish, they can ask for a specific color wristband. If they don't ask, they get a random one like normal.
But.... why can't customers just eat whatever they want to?

Bible stories with Miff: Jonah
Posted 9 years agoSo Jonah was this dude who could hear God's voice in his head. Back in the day, that didn't make you crazy, but it made you a prophet instead.
God told Jonah to go to the city of Nineveh because it's full of sinners that piss God off. Jonah doesn't want to do this so he hitches a ride on a ship heading the other way. God gets angry and threatens to sink the ship, so the ship's crew do the logical thing and throw Jonah overboard.
God then sends a whale or something to eat him, in the first documented case of vore in civilized history. After being pissed off about it for three days Jonah gives up and tells God that he'll go to Nineveh, so the whale takes him there and spits him up.
Jonah tells the people of Nineveh to repent, and for some reason, they all do at once. Jonah waits for God to destroy the city, but since they repented, God doesn't. Jonah gets pissed and decides to just sit in the middle of nowhere and wait for death. The end.
Moral of the story: God does whatever the fuck he wants.
